Terrible experience dealing with Valerie. Wasted almost a month waiting for kitchen designs and…read morere-measurements to be done. She was "overwhelmed" by basic customer questions. If a design person cannot answer customer questions and gets overwhelmed then there's a real problem. After 4 weeks of working on a design that was for a pretty simple revamp, Valerie could still not get our floor plans right. The builder wrote to me to say that the measurements were still not correct. Save yourself time and energy and don't go here for your kitchen design. Seems all this person has time to do is go for "trainings" that don't appear to translate into work output. Poor communication about timelines and every inquiry was met with a defensive list of reasons about why she couldn't get to our project in a timely manner. Undoubtably the worst customer experience I've ever had.

Had my appliance issue not been favorably resolved by the installer, I was fully prepared to sue. My development uses Jamesburg Hardware for appliance replacement and has done so for many years. I have contacted my development's management, informing them of my horrible experience with Jeff Clayton, and asked them to consider NOT using Jamesburg Hardware in the future. As a customer, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect and not yelled at, patronized, or belittled. How I was treated is not the way to conduct business and retain/add customers!

I brought my 20+ year old Stihl chainsaw in for service that I bought at Potters. I use the saw…read moreMAYBE once a year. I have always had a difficult time starting this saw and had that problem since day one- not uncommon for Stihl chainsaws. I left a $50 deposit and after 3 weeks I was told the saw was not worth fixing. I picked up the saw the following day and asked if maybe PART of the $50 could be used toward another saw, Bob Potter the owner was extremely arrogant and told me flat out NO, the $50 was to check the saw. I asked since I was a long time customer of over 40 years and I have bought two blowers, two mowers, 2 chainsaws and garden supplies every year that he give me a break on another saw, his reply was the price marked - MSRP is the price, he then turned his back and walked away. In addition, my children went to school with his kids and visited each other's homes. I attempted to explain while he was walking away that I would be selling my home in the very near future and I just need to remove some downed trees. One would think a little goodwill on his part since I proved customer loyalty. I walked out and will never be back. I only wish that I knew his arrogance before I spent thousands of dollars in prior sales. I wouldn't give this business the time of day. There are too many businesses that treat their loyal customers with respect. STAY AWAY from this greedy ungrateful business...Potter & GREEDY Sons. Took the saw to another shop and within 5 days they rebuilt the carburetor, the saw now runs great, total cost for their repair $128.30- As I said, STAY AWAY FROM POTTER & SONS, they are a bunch of greedy arrogant know nothing.

I bought one that was in the $200 price point. It was a special order so I will have to wait two weeks to get it, but that's an average wait time for a special order. Sales lady was very nice and friendly and answered all our questions. Only thing I would change is maybe having the on switches a little more organized, some ceiling lights were not able to be seen with lights on, which can be a bit of a problem when shopping for a light. In their defense, it is possible the were changing inventory? So this problem might get resolved.
