Great friendly service. Not the cheapest around but good quality and knowledgable assistance on projects. Well worth the little extra cost.

Bought house paint from Miller 8 years ago. I wanted to do some touch up on a remodel, so asked…read morethem if they would "shake" my leftover five gallon bucket. They not only did that, but transferred the paint to much nicer and more convenient one gallon cans. Fabulous service. And by the way, their paint is great. My house still looks like it was just painted after almost a decade.

I received exceptional service today from a gentleman named Kris (I think that was how his name was…read morespelled.) I came in looking for fence stains to match my next door neighbor's as we share some sections of fencing and I thought it would look nice to have both sides of the fence to match in color. Kris was able to help me find the right color and provided answers to my questions. He even offered to set up an account for me so that when I come back for more stains in the future, they would have the stains in my account for reference. Upon paying for my transaction, Kris even offered to carry the cans out to my car for me. When asked, he said that that's their company policy, which I thought was a very nice touch to their customer service. I'm thoroughly impressed from the moment I walked into the Miller Paint Store on W 11th -- friendly service, top of the line selection (I would categorize it as the Mercedes quality), and the value because less expensive brand might fade quicker and you'll end up spending more in the end redoing the stains in a year or two. Because of my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional service and paint -- or stains.

I've used Tommy's so many times and I don't want to go anywhere else!…read more Over the years growing up I would come here with my dad while he was picking up supplies and paint; now that I'm a homeowner I find myself doing projects as well and always order my paint online through Tommy's. Most of the time I order Benjamin Moore online at night and it's mixed the next day noon. Great customer service, helpful folks. One of those rare Eugene business that are familiar, friendly, and have stood the rest of time for a reason.

However...it's not that much of a price difference AND the experience, the friendly nature of the people working there and the overall vibe of the place make you want to keep coming back! I went into this dreading anything about paint, but through my own research, practice and talking to the folks here, I actually ENJOY going to the paint store (helps that they have good coffee) now. I think this place is a Eugene gem. I haven't been to many paint stores, so I don't know what my other experiences would be, but Tommy's is just fun and enjoyable (oh, and they have tools and paint things you might not have thought of that can make things easier, and someone knowledgeable to tell you about using it). If you buy paint from them and need it later shaken or stirred (we got some big 5 gallons containers) you can easily just pull your car in up front and they'll come out with a dolly to grab a heavy 5 gallon bucket out of your car and load it after it's been dealt with. While you're waiting you can get some coffee or tea and hang out at one of the color selection tables or on a stool at the front. Top notch customer experience (and I get pickier the more I understand what good customer experience is, online and brick & mortar).

Greeted us right at the door and asked us if they could help us finding anything. We were looking for wreaths and they pointed us in the right. They had a great selection of wreaths as that's what we were looking for. All of them were beautiful, but overpriced, even on sale. I decided on getting one that was 1/2 off of $80. So I spent $40. Still a little overpriced. But the wreath is beautiful. Beautiful store and very easy to find stuff. Just remember they're closed on Sundays.

When we saw one employee moving to another register, we stepped out of line to follow her. She ended up not opening up the register and the manager approached us to which we replied, could we pay for the items? He silently pointed to the Refund line. Other people had already stepped in front of us to pay, which made it even a longer line. The appropriate thing for the manager to do was to say sure I will take you here at another register. After we left, we realized the line was 10 deep and then he decided to open up another register . Work on serving customers FIRST rather than paying workers to stand around. Also smile at your customers rather than staring at us like we're thieves.
