Jazmine was really impressive with how knowledgeable she is and very specific on her take on what to choose. I learned quite a bit in a very short amount of time. I feel confident and excited for my apt. project and I luv her genuine enthusiasm for me to share results with SW. Thank you !!! And thank you Sam w/Phn assistant as well! read more

Poor personal service here extremely low iq 5 people working here no help Employees are in the there own world Talking to each other to them selves Been to most sherwin Williams they are pretty bad location is poor will never go back Poor service read more

Extremely disappointing experience. I was quoted a price by a rep for paint, but when I arrived, they tried to charge me six times more. After declining, they came back with a price still three times higher than what was originally promised. Out of desperation to finish our project--since we only had the painter for one more night--I agreed. But after too much back and forth, we ran past closing time, and Mark refused to leave the paint anywhere accessible or wait, despite me pleading with him. Now the delay is costing us over $1,000 more. The customer service was unhelpful, rigid, and downright rude. We only chose this store because it was closer than Home Depot (which is 30 minutes each way), but honestly--go to Home Depot. Better service, better pricing, and better quality options. Not worth the hassle here. read more

After months of deciding, my excitement to finally get the color I decided on for my large 2 story home, was quickly diminished by the extremely rude salesperson. they were not knowledgeable nor were they trying to help or be creative to help me. they simply didn't care or maybe they are misogynistic . What an awful experience - had to write about it. I don't recommend going here. Home Depot and Anawalt were far far more knowledgeable and nicer. read more

Belligerent staff who seem to be trained to blind with science and always push for the upsell. Moronic.

Highly recommend if you want a more professional product and staff than the crap at Home Depot. Rogelio is particularly great to deal with. He's super helpful and is a magician at doing paint matching! read more

What a great place. Very clean, with free mask and soap for your hands, right when you walk in. The guy who mixed my paint was a genius. Very kind, helpful and professional. This is my paint store now. Expensive as hell But worth it. read more

The store attendant was extremely helpful and extremely polite and was very informative. I can't remember his name but he was of African American decent. I'll definitely be coming back here. read more

100% Recommend. Period!! Been here many times and every time these gals and guys don't disappoint! They're great at mixing custom paint (to match my 40 yr old kitchen cabinet paint) along with providing great tips and ensuring we're always happy. THANK YOU for being a great local small shop we can always count on! read more

Easy and convenient I will pay a little bit more so that I don't have to drive to and deal with the lines at Home Depot.

Charisse at the pico store helped me so much. I had to paint entire house in a few days. Once I walked into the store I looked no further. Charisse was great. She explained the different levels of paint, wearability, sheen, etc. we chose the entire color scheme in a day. She allowed me to express my color ideas but kept me on track. She was patient and kind but also confident and no nonsense. I like that. The house came out so beautiful. I still love coming home to those rooms with their colors.wonderfulexperience. Thank you Charisse! read more

I called the shop to make an appointment in order to get help to select a color for our house. We got there on time, but the store was actually closed, 30 minutes before official closing time. read more

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store - Paint Stores Near Me - Santa Monica, California

Ugh. Do not go here. Tiny store, unhelpful employees who don't know their stock and don't care to help you. First time

Worse service here staff are super slow ,rude And careless, I wouldn't recommend coming here read more

My fiancee and I were moving into an apartment in Santa Monica that badly needed to be repainted before we moved in. Half of it was hired out to contractors and the other half of it was the handy work of my wonderful future husband. We used this Sherwin Williams for everything - supplies needed for contractors, paint, matching, guidance, etc. They were SO much help at this store. Everything was on time and anything that was wrong with an order was quickly corrected. Shout out to Mark and Dave for being the ones who helped us the most; however the rest of the staff is incredibly awesome. read more

I am just learning how to do my own painting and the employees at this store were a big help. I actually look forward to coming here. Super nice people--especially Brenna, who I believe is the manager-- that patiently explain the basics. They also let you know of upcoming sales and other ways to save money. Best yet, there is a decent size parking lot. read more

Extremely helpful staff. They explained the process and gave great recommendations based on the project and budget I had in mind. Had my paint mixed in minutes. Will go back again. read more

I went to the store on Monday night after work because I was trying to take advantage of 30% off sale. When I walked in, there were two people behind the registers, neither one stepped out from behind to say hello or ask me if I needed any help. There was another woman in the store also who kept having to call the guy back to ask questions. He did not stay with her to assist her with her shopping experience. At one point both guys disappeared and left us alone on the sales floor at which point she turns to me and says "why does this have to be so difficult?" It was taking so long for her to get the information she needed that she finally had to leave the store to take care of her baby whom she had left in the car with her husband. Instead of hurrying up and help her with her decisions they merely reminded her that the store closes at seven. When I finally made my decisions, with no assistance from either of them, I was told that most of my paint order (about 15 gallons) was not available! They didn't try to call another store and secure my order and 30% off. All in all I was disappointed with my experience at the store. Initially I had done my research at the pico Rivera store where the guys were really great and really knew their product knowledge. It's a shame that that store is so far away for me and I could not get there in time. read more

I am redecorating and thought I was good with color but needed some more ideas. Sherwin Williams had the exact specific color brochure that confirmed what I had done so far AND gave me more ideas and confidence to do them! And their wood stain selection is larger than any I've seen. I was referred by my decorator sister back East. She sent me a Sherwin Williams color chip by phone so I could see what she was talking about. I thought that was pretty cool! And they keep record of your purchases, so no more worrying about what color did I use! And they email me when they have sales. I found the sales team helpful, knowledgeable and agreeable. Plenty of parking next to their entrance. Yeah...I am happy. read more

Looks like this store gets mixed reviews ... I can only speak on my experience & it was great. Once again, I received great service from Charise, who also helped me in the past at the Westwood location. She's cool & great with color matches. I will definitely shop at the Santa Monica store in the future. read more

The customer service is outstanding. Best place to buy paint. The price might a slightly higher than other places but the knowledge the staff offers makes up the difference in price. read more

Worst service ever at SW! That black manager/3rd key working there didn't even say hi. He was to busy helping some old ladies! And yes there was loud rap music playing, Drake and 2 Chains! He was alone and incapable of even acknowledging a new customer! If I wanted Home Depot style service I would have sent there instead! F this place! read more

Yikes, paint should not cost this much. Recently I had to buy paint to match some interior doors that had been painted with a specific SW color. So I went to this store to buy a gallon of paint and couldn't believe how expensive it was - $60+! Back to Home Depot I go where the paint costs half the price. zero difference in final look and feel of interior work. read more

If you arrive in the later hours of the day, use the parking lot door. Breanna was super helpful and told me about their color consultation perk. The service cost will be offset by not having to get a multitude of paint samples read more

Don't waste your time. Go to the Jefferson Store. They go out of their way to help you instead of treating you as if you are an inconvenience to their personal phone call. I am a preferred Sherman Williams customer for years and was shocked at the dismissive treatment I got on the phone and when I arrived at the Pico store I have several cans of expensive Frazee paint (it's now a Sherman Williams product) that needed color matching. I was told at Jefferson that my old paint was out of compliance with California code and at some point all of it would need to be replaced. While I only needed two colors, I asked what I should do with the cans of old paint because I was only saving them to use as a color match. Well at Jefferson not only was my paint matched perfectly, they took the time to make color swatches on some foam board I brought and wrote the paint code numbers on the back then took the old paint for recycling and this was at a busy store with professional painters and contractors waiting for their paint. I asked if they would do this for the remaining cans of paint I had and they said sure. I went to get the paint but with traffic, I was closer to the Pico store so I caIlex and asked if they would do the same thing. "No we don't do that" was what she said. I explained that the Jefferson store did it as a courtesy, but she just repeated that they didn't do that. So I asked if they recycle paint and she said yes so since I was a block away and already had a color swatch of a large can, I went there to recycle it. The girl saying no to me was chatting on her phone when I arrived and the store was completely empty. So I dropped of my can in the recycling area and she told her cell phone person to hang on, not can I call you back I have a customer, just to wait. Well I am a customer and as such deserve the attention of the clerk especially when I AM THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE! Don't waste your time shopping at a store that thinks customers are an inconvenience. Go where the pros go. Make the drive down to the Jefferson store and you can be sure you will get the service and the product you need. read more

Bought a can of paint which was badly bent up by the employee when putting the lid on. Training issue? She could not put paint into a better can saying that it was the last can that size. read more

This review isn't about the paint- my moms an interior designer and says it's top notch- it's about the employee that was working tonight, Eddie. Me and my family are moving, but before we do we need to paint our daughters room at the new house and we haven't even picked out a color hey. I came to the store to get some samples today at 4:50 PM. After Eddie let me know how the sample process works, I mentioned that the store was going to close in 10 minutes and would come back in the morning because I still needed to look and pick 10 or so colors to be made into samples. Eddie said to not worry about it and to take as long as I need so that I can leave today with samples. I left with all the samples I needed and he also answered all my questions. For a young guy to have that level of service without seeming burdened on a Saturday instead of wanting to clock out as quick as possible is super impressive. Service like that is hard to come by these days. No matter what, we will paint our house w Sherwin paint because of Eddie. read more

Great customer service! The manager was very knowledgeable and helpful with the paint recommendations!

I received such great customer service here. At first, they had a hard time matching a paint swatch, so Daniel gave me the sample and said that if it didn't match, I didn't have to pay for it. It didn't match. But the second time, a perfect match. Great customer service, plenty of places to park. And Daniel went out of his way to make sure I used the coupon which was available for my purchase. read more

i want to write a review about the topanga canyon/woodland hills location but i can't find its yelp page. i went to sherwin williams cause i thought it would be a step above lowes. i got a gallon of top of the line paint in the color bluebloods. the paint ran out so my wife went to get another gallon. their machine went down so the guy hand mixed the paint. (never hand mix the paint) my wife not knowing that you should never do this gave the paint to the painter. it completely ruined my paint job. now i have to pay the painter to completely paint over it again and all crappy shirwin williams offered was to replace the paint. what about the $140 i have to pay again? never buy from a place that doesn't know that hand mixed paint will never match computer mixed paint. shirwin williams i will never go to again. don't waste time like i did , just go to lowes. read more

Time to paint the house, went to Home Depot and was greatly discouraged. Long lines, staff that were definitely not experts assuming you could find one. Went to the small, Sherwin Williams store in Santa Monica, assuming they would have less selection and higher prices but willing to bite the bullet. Totally wrong on both counts. The staff is knowledgeable about painting and about their products. The prices are competitive and get lower the more you buy. But here's the thing: you get GREAT SERVICE. Over the course of a week, I bought THIRTEEN color samples, all mixed while I waited and all within a matter of a few minutes. Try that at Home Depot or OSH or any of the other big retailers. Go ahead, try. read more
