We were told to pay in cash at the end of the job. Why would I make this up? We were planning on using a credit card for the reward perks and he said cash only For him to say "how do I know these are my mistakes" is just GASLIGHTING. My relator TOOK HIM OFF their preferred vendor list after seeing THIS HORRIBLE PAINT JOB.

If your cabinets are scratched, dented, you will end up with scratched and dented cabinets, WITH NEW PAINT! He DOES NOT CARE about quality. All he cares about is whipping through your job and on to the next. There's more! I bought brand new MDF cabinet doors for my bathroom with rough edges. Do you think he smoothed out the edges prior to painting? Look at the photo!!! Again, He DOES NOT CARE about a quality job! He must have looked at them and thought "this is really crappy... Oh well". The trim in my kitchen: The ENTIRE KITCHEN has wood-stained trim that I installed 10 years ago... He PAINTED THEM!!!!! What? Now *I* have to rip them out and purchase NEW TRIM and replace them, because the Lone Painter can't make an intelligent association on whether to paint, or NOT paint the cabinet floor trim. Seriously, LOOK AT THE PHOTOS! So, if you want a FAST job, and don't care about quality... Maybe you're flipping a 4-plex for the next renter... Sure, call the Lone Painter... But If you want your cabinet doors to be "restored"... Forget it, find a reputable contractor.

First of all I went in to buy only one part and should have only taken 5 minutes or less. But instead I ended up wasting 30 minutes of my time and ended up walking out due to the lack of knowledge and underpromised helped. First of all, I only need a faucet part. I ended up looking at the parts and couldn't find anyone in the area to help me. I noticed after 5 minutes that other people were doing the same thing. Finally a lady ended up walking out of the area to find help and ended up finding Keith. Keith ended up helping her and took about 5 minutes. So after patiently waiting now 10 minutes, I asked Keith when he was done with the nice lady if he could help me out for a minute. He ended up telling me that he would call somebody over here on the certain aisle to help me out. After patiently waiting 15 minutes with no one even remotely stopping by. I ended up walking up to Katt to see if she could help me. Waited another 5 minutes and no ONE. Holy crap still terrible service. Ended up running into Donald who seemed to be a manager, who was on the phone and I asked very strongly since I haven't been helped at all to get help. He stated that he would send somebody over to help me. I said very strongly that, that response didn't help out 25 minutes ago. Finally the one shining light. LAUREN. Lauren had no experience in plumbing but her brother was a plumber. She text him and called him for answers. We ended up sending pictures to her brother and still her brother wasn't there so he couldn't answer any of the questions with confidence. I sincerely thanked Lauren even though I wasn't able to be professionally helped. I ended up walking out of the store and went to Ace Hardware where I was helped within minutes of walking in. Found my part and was happy. Even though Lauren didn't help me! SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO COMPLETELY TRY AND HELP ME. The others were absolutely terrible. Donald on the phone on the sales floor in a camo vest and not helping at all (Dismissed me like I was nothing). Keith who lied about sending anybody to come and help me, especially if he was just done helping somebody else out. Plus I patiently waited the entire time while Keith was helping out the nice lady. Katt was honest and said she didn't know anything about Plumbing and would send somebody. Honestly LAUREN who went over and beyond to help, but still couldn't. I can 100% appreciate the help. Sometimes times are tough but seriously don't say you are going to help and not come through. I wasted so much of my time while I had groceries in the car thawing out. I'm seriously mad about how the LOWES organization treated me. I'm pretty much done spending money there unless I seriously have too. I wanted to give negative stars because of the lack of service. But I'm giving two stars only because of Lauren who went out of her way to call and text her brother to try and help and solve my problem. For someone as young as she was, I'm impressed by the genuine impression of Lauren.

I would give it a 0 if they would allow me to. Yes I read the reviews, shame on me for going with…read morethem anyway. Let's start with the staff in Tacoma Lowes. Making an appt waiting for ordering cabinets stood around for an hour and no one showed up nor did anyone try to help us. They all sat at one desk and talked and looked at their phones. Went to Port Orchard. Real nice staff, Ordered Full kitchen remodel in MARCH. This is June, broken cabinet delivered, had to reorder and it took an extra 6 WEEKS! Just installed! HALF ASS. Missing shelves, Drilled holes into my beautiful cabinets, ruined 4 drawers, Warped doors, Gaps between the wall and the cabinet. They Decided once cabinets were in that the molding wont work. Someone measured WRONG! Waiting for new drawers and missing shelves! Reimbursed me for installation of the crown molding, not for the crown molding it self that was purchased that is now sitting in my garage and I have to dump it! Cant give me my $814.00 on my credit card is giving it to me As STORE CREDIT. Now im stuck with them to spend another chunk of money so really they didn't reimburse me at all. Yes going to the BBB. This is a terrible big box store, screwing ppl right to left and not giving a S---T! I have pictures would love to share. Sorry I didn't go with local company but couldn't find any that was open for more than 3 years and they wanted my $18,000 up front. Thought that was too risky. Shame on me again

I have to give Seattle Paint & Drywall a very mixed review. Some things were great; some things…read morewere not. Patrick, the estimator (and owner, I think?), was hands-down the best person that we talked with. We wanted some non-standard work done, and most of the other folks we talked to sounded like they had no interest in doing something non-standard, so we were really impressed with Patrick's enthusiasm. He sent us a few quotes, including different options for the work that we wanted done. The final quote seemed pretty reasonable. They told us that the whole job should take about a week. So we scheduled our movers for the Monday after. Sadly, things only got worse from here. The painters arrived on Monday. When we showed up, we decided that the ceilings didn't need to be sanded and refinished after all, but that we did want to paint the trim. The lead painter called up his boss, and I got a call from an administrative assistant, who asked me to give a verbal approval for the price change. I was kind of surprised at how big the price difference was; the extra amount for painting the trim was five times as much as the savings from not sanding and refinishing the entire ceiling, which seemed hard to believe. But we had already signed the contract, so there wasn't much else we could do. On Friday, we stopped by to see how things we were going. We were dismayed to find the place in total disarray. They were barely halfway through with the paint job, and there were painting supplies (and stray paint) everywhere. The place had started out relatively clean, and now it was a total mess. In addition, some of the painting work was pretty shoddy. Instead of following the technique that we had requested, they had basically just brushed paint haphazardly on the wall. We told them that the state of the walls was unacceptable, and they said that they'd redo it. We also reminded them that the movers were coming on Monday, and they promised to have the place cleaned up so that we could move in. Monday came around, and the place looked a little better; there was at least enough free space for us to fit all our boxes and furniture. But it was still pretty messy, and because the paint job wasn't even close to done, we couldn't really unpack most of our boxes, nor could we put most of our furniture in place. At least, thankfully, the bedroom was mostly done, so I could set up our bed. Aside from that, for the next couple of days, we were basically living in a construction zone. In addition, when we were moving in, we ran into a new neighbor. She mentioned how the hallway carpets had just been cleaned, and the painters were getting paint and dirt all over everything. Needless to say, this isn't the first impression that we wanted to give our neighbors! On Wednesday (I think), the painters finally finished up, packed up their stuff, and left. Unfortunately, they also left a huge mess. And, as we gradually found out over the next couple of days, there were also tons of things that hadn't been finished properly, or that had been done really poorly. Undersides of cabinet shelves hadn't been painted at all; they still hadn't gotten the special technique right on the walls; there were big areas that clearly still needed a second coat; and they even broke our paper towel dispenser. We called up Patrick, and the painters were back, this time with a supervisor. The supervisor walked through the condo with us, and made a huge list of all the things that they needed to get done, including "clean the damn floor" (his words). By the end of the day, the paint job finally looked finished, but we still needed to wait another 24 hours for everything to dry before we could really set everything up. About a month went by, and we didn't hear anything from them. Eventually, we received the bill. It was yet another disappointment and surprise. First, even though we had "downgraded" the quality of the paint (the bid was for Rodda, the paint we got was Valspar), it turned out that the Valspar was much more expensive, because they paid retail. So we had an extra charge for that. Second, there were $1,500 worth of hourly charges for additional work. The hours were way overstated (and we eventually got the charges reduced), but even so, it seemed excessive for what they accomplished. The moral of the story, for us? First, never sign a contract that includes hourly billing. Second, never sign a contract that doesn't clearly separate materials from labor. Third, find out other people's experience of what happens when you ask for a contract change. Fourth, don't assume that a good estimator always has good people working for him. In the end, we're reasonably satisfied with the work that was done, but we're definitely not happy with how much work it took to get here, and how much money we had to spend. We'll definitely be looking elsewhere the next time we need painting and drywall work.
