Came in to buy bright neon paint to paint my dogs room (my dog is colorblind by the way) so the bright colors make him see a rittle bit better especially during the night time. This girl named Nikita helped me out, i showed her a color I wanted to paint match and she nailed it perfectly. I was blown away by the color match so I decided to bring her food from Casper's hadog shack near by as a thank you & also went to grab a bubble milk tea at milk tea lab. This past weekend we painted the exterior of our house! 2 weeks ago we purchased 5 gallons and did one side of our house. We decided to finish this weekend and there was a promotion so we returned for another 10 gallons. The paint here isn't cheap by any means but boy it's good paint! It covers really well! It is well worth it! Now for the loss of a star. When I went back to get the paint to finish I did what I believe to be the intelligent thing to do and had him look at my account so I could double check I was purchasing the exact same everything. It was the other half of my house, after all, I need it to be the same. He did. But as I was leaving and he was putting paint in the truck, this kid said to me "sometimes you just have to make a decision". WTF! I am guessing this guy has never spent his own money on painting his house. 1500$ in paint and this guy thinks I should 'wing it'? I left it alone at the moment because I had nothing kind to say. My receipt says his name was Angel. We will continue to buy Sherman Williams paint, and I will continue to expect them to check my past purchases. There is another location not far away. read more

I've spent more time than I'd like to admit at this store. When we bought a house, we had grand plans of painting all the rooms with funky accent walls and doing a general revamp of the not ideal paint we found in the bedrooms. The only hitch in our plan was we had no idea how to paint a wall, much less an entire room or three. The employees at this Sherwin-Williams have been a godsend for us - that's really not an exaggeration. We've asked so many detailed questions and asked for advice and they've always been incredibly friendly and helpful! The employees get 10 stars in my book. The color selection of the paint is pretty wide too - we never had issues finding the colors that we wanted. The only downside is the paint supplies tend to be more expensive than a big box store, but they seem to have frequent sales which substantially lower the cost of paint and supplies. Check their website to time your visit well! We'll definitely be back as we continue our painting journey. read more

We couldn't be happier with the service at this store. We have never bought Sherwin Williams before but it was rated highly, at least for interior paint. It was so much nicer than buying paint at a big box store. Every time we came in we were greeted and attended to. Thank goodness that Ashley strongly urged us to try sample colors instead of buying one or two gallons of what we thought we wanted. We were wrong and she saved us a lot of grief. We were grateful that Sherwin Williams could make us our favorite Kelly Moore color. That turned out to be the perfect color for one room. The next day after looking at paint swatches for an hour, Trevor offered to help, showed us a picture of a room he had painted and found us the perfect color for the second room. Finally, I spoke to Spencer on another day who made up a quart of the Kelly Moore color (we needed a bit more) and had it all ready to be picked up a short time later. It is a wonderful store due to the good quality paint and very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable staff. read more

I had a dried out can of San Pedro Eggshell finish paint from Kelly Moore that I bought back in 2008. Their Satin finish matched the Eggshell finish from Kelly Moore PRECISELY. I was able to get a quart for touch-ups inside the house, and the touchup matched the paint job perfectly with even the right sheen, even though Sherwin-Williams said the sheen might not be a perfect match. Now I have enough to touch up minor scratches, nail holes, and so forth for the next ten years. While I was in there, they signed me up for their discount program so that I got 10% off the purchase. Yes, the prices of paint have gone up astronomically in the past 10 years, but even so I walked away with EXACTLY what I wanted and the ability to save a little cash in the process. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to ask a quick question about wood staining and the only person with that knowledge is the manager Angel. I'm the only person in the store and there are three people working the location. Angel says they he can't come out because he's doing inventory. I have one question that literally takes one minute to answer. He has at least two other people at the store that can help him with inventory and no customers inside. As a General Contractor, I have a lot of experience ordering from many different paint stores, I have not had this bad of a customer service experience in a paint store ever. read more

Long overdue review. My hubby & I recently finished the colossal project of painting the outside of our house. This was not a fun project but it needed to be done. It seriously cut into my summer weekend fun time! Thankfully the staff at Sherwin-Williams made one part of this project a bit easier...choosing & purchasing our paint. We had been back & forth to Lowe's countless times & the staff in the paint department was hit or miss. Plus, their exterior paint just wasn't high quality. So we tried Sherwin-Williams and were immediately impressed with the staff. They really know their stuff! They were able to answer all our questions & gave us some great recommendations. We left there the first day with 3 different paint samples & came back later that day to purchase our paint. The only disappointment here is their exterior primer paint. It is too watery & does not cover well, probably because it is an interior/exterior primer. Otherwise their exterior paint is high quality & we thankfully only needed to do one coat of color on the house. The prices at Sherwin-Williams are higher than what you would find at Lowe's but they seem to have sales every few weeks (30-40% off) so I rarely paid full price for my paint. The staff was nice enough to let me know if a sale was coming up so I could hold off on any large purchases. Great customer service! Looks like the next project is painting the inside of the house, so I will be back to buy my paint here! read more

I went in there today (1/30), for some brushes all was well. Only comment I have is the awkward silence while shopping. Staff was sweet and greeted me when walking in, in but while I was shopping it was like if I can hear everyone's breathing even from the outside. I purchased paint in July during one the 40% Off super sales. Our project is very large, as we are pretty much painting an entire single-story house (minus bathrooms), including ceilings, so I wanted to take advantage of the savings and buy most of the paint in one go. This store seems to be an extremely busy location, with many customers, even in the last 30-60 minutes before closing. Unfortunately with my work schedule and the traffic along Contra Costa Blvd, I would end up getting into the store with less than an hour to do my shopping. This meant that I had to make more than a single trip in order to pick up swatches/test paint, and then later place my order. On my first visit, the employees were extremely helpful. It wasn't that busy yet, so two gentlemen helped me select paint swatches. I was going for a neutral or cool gray, and was not familiar with the different paint lines offered. On my second visit a few days later, we decided to purchase several gallons (over 10 gallons) of Cashmere paint, a few gallons of primer, and a few gallons of Eminence ceiling paint -- however, we were informed that the store did not have as many gallons of Cashmere as we needed in stock. They sold me what they could, and the single employee there informed us and the other 5 or so people that they were closing up soon, so he would have to take our orders down on a paper purchase order. Since my stock would be coming from another store, they told me to wait until the end of the week for a call. I was also told they would honor the sale price. While I was here this visit, I had also purchased some painter's tape and when I got home, realized that they had not given the tape to me. I ended up having to drive back the next day to pick up the tape which was left behind. A few days later, I never received a call about my order. So, I called back, and I spoke to a woman who could not even find my order. She was very helpful and placed a second order for me and said it would take about two days, but to call back if I don't get a call. By the weekend, I still had not received a call. So again, I called back, and they could not locate my order. They did however see that there was a request in the system for several gallons of Cashmere paint that had just been delivered from another store, and assumed this was my order. I came in to purchase & pick it up. At the time, I had a hand injury, so the assistant store manager was very helpful and helped me load everything into the car. He also made sure that I received the discounts which they promised to honor the previous week. A few days after this, I received a call from the nice woman I spoke to on the phone, and she told me my order had just come in. I was a little confused, as I had already picked up my order, and the store employees couldn't even locate my order on paper or in the system. Overall, I made more trips to this location than I had intended to. The assistant store manager and some of the employees who assisted me were very kind and helpful, and overall they made right by fulfilling the order and ensuring I received the correct pricing. However, they seemed disorganized when it came to tracking orders, and they seem to be severely understaffed during their closing hour/on the weekends/during sales, as a single employee is NOT enough to cover a line of 5+ customers with only 20 minutes remaining before close. read more

Absolutely worthless people that cannot and will not help you. The worst customer service i have ever received. These people are so stuck in the corporate mind and are to scared to "break rules" by price matching or coming up with creative solutions for their customers so they just fall back on policy instead of helping. Like always Sherwin barley staffs there stores with 1 or 2 employees that don't care and don't know the product or anything about painting really. This is what happens when 90% of the work force is part time. DO yourself a huge favor and go to the Kellymoore that's down the block, they care about customers and repeat business. After waiting 10 minutes for one of the representatives to finally be available, he led us to the selection of 5 different paint qualities. We chose Super Paint because it is supposed to cover with 1 coat. It was considered "middle of the road" - not the most premium and not the cheapest. He said it would take a while to mix it because he had to dig it out of a new shipment. On a Saturday afternoon, you don't have a single gallon on hand ready to mix? Really? I suggested that we'd take a higher quality paint (on hand behind him) at the lower price since that would be quicker. He didn't agree to it. No, we'd have to wait for him to dig out a gallon of Super Paint. We left to pick up lunch and came back. He did find a way to use a $10 coupon which brought the price down to $42/gallon. I've used Behr, Benjamin Moore and Kelly Moore paint. I'm not impressed with Sherwin Williams paint. We had just picked it up from the store, so I assumed it was just vigorously shaken. I shook it a little before using it, but I guess it needed more. The top portion was super thin and spattered when rolled. The bottom part of the can later was thicker, but still didn't seem to cover well. Overall, coverage was lousy. Even after 3 coats, the very old light blue original color was still showing. read more

As a stager and decorator, I've always been partial to Benjamin Moore. However, after a couple nice workshops sponsored by Sherwin Williams, I've decided to give them more of a chance. This shop is the best, everyone who works there is super nice, efficient, and helpful, but especially Stephanie, an assistant manager. She's young, eager, a recent college grad, and you'd never know she didn't major in art or design. She's got a great eye for color., she can match anything (Farrow and Ball colors!) and she's fast, smart, and helpful. I'm also happy with the quality and colors of Sherwin Williams paint (they have a great professional color box) but it's the calm, easy, mood of this store that will keep me coming back. read more

Very nice staff! I live right next this place and we wanted to paint our living room so we took a nice stroll over there got some samples and figured out our color. Once we got home and opened up the can it looked a little different than what we wanted so I went back there to see if they could help. I was expecting to have to ditch it and buy a new can since they had already mixed it for us. To my surprise the woman said they can try to adjust it so she asked what direction I wanted to go with the color (lighter or darker) she did several adjustments to get the perfect color we wanted. She was very helpful and friendly! When we want to paint again I will definitely be going back there! read more

The color selection is well layed out and there were lights available with adjustments knobs so as to simulate different lights. There were no other customers in the store so service was at a premium level. There are also color groups for us that can't match black shoes with a black belt. We left with a bevy of color samples and small colorful handouts with their preferred color groups. Very nice people and we enjoyed the visit. Have not selected which colors we are going to paint yet. read more

We had a painter use our Kelly Moore color at Sherwin-Williams to paint our house in a high grade exterior paint two years ago. He did not tell us which Sherwin Williams he went to. We took our color to the closest one to our home and they were able to match it EXACTLY even though they were not sure it would be a perfect match. It tones for touch up with existing paint. This is a typical Sherwin Williams Paint Store. The size is not very large, but parking is ample. Customer service at this store is hit or miss. I've mostly gotten good, knowledgeable people, but once, I felt a bit talked down to. Sherwin Williams probably has the best color selection and the best examples on how to match them, although any paint store will match any color you want. Price is on the higher side and I'm not sure if the quality you get justifies that price. Now, I never buy paint from Sherwin Williams unless I have coupon so that at least it is a bit more reasonable. Selection of supplies is adequate and price is on par with big box stores. They don't offer you stir sticks or can openers unless you ask (or get a bunch at the big box store). Overall, the Sherwin Williams experience is average. read more

I was going to have the painters come on 4/1 and paint my son's bedroom and found the best color of blue from SW on a HOUZZ website. I went to get a sample made and Spencer did a fabulous job getting the sample color to match the sample I selected, but wanted try the sample on the wall first to make sure the color looked good in the dark room. It looked great and went back the next day to get 2 gallons. I asked for the best paint and they said, " They only had ONE can of Emerald " and went with the next lower grade. However, when they went to check to make sure the paint would match the sample they could not match the paint even after checking to make sure the numbers were correctly input into the system. Still no match after a second try. I had painters coming the next day, and running out of time so I went down the road to my favorite place to get paint and BM matched the SW PERFECTLY on the Aura Eggshell paint they had fully stocked. I am not sure if the calibration machine is working properly at this SW site in Pleasant Hill, but make sure you give yourself a day or two to get sample to place on wall to make sure it matches. I really wanted to go with SW because it was their color, but gave my business to BM because they matched it PERFECTLY. I do want to be fair to SW because customer service is excellent, esp. Spencer, and I even asked why did it get matched the day before and not with a higher quality paint? They said because it was a sample paint and different type of paint texture. read more

I will not be going back to Sherwin Williams again. I came here because I am a novice painter and decided to take on a bedroom. I explained I have never painted before and that I could use some help with color. So I explained what I was looking for, and recieved pretty much no help, minus directing me to the colors (which is right when you walk in). After trying to get more help by asking quite a few questions, I was pointed in the direction of sample colors...great! I tried it on my wall (after priming). The color is what I was expecting, so I went back to purchase the color. After explaining (again) this was my first time painting, I asked how much paint I would need. My husband, who went with me this time, suggested two cans and the sales person suggested three....we went back & forth. Now sorry for being dense, buy being a novice I took the sales person's suggestion. Which i should never have done. Not only did I blow my budget by going to this place (about double the price of other paints I looked at), but I didn't get the help I thought I was paying for. To add to paying top dollar for this paint, lack of customer service, only using 2 cans, now the color was totally off!! When I showed the sample paint to friends and then showed them the sample on top of the can....they were purple & gray. Not gray & gray. Now I have a purple room....interesting. I called and asked if I could return the last can of paint because...well, I won't use it again as I repainted with another brand. But of course you can't, I should have know that too. Oh well, chalk it up to experience. Long story long, go elsewhere and save money too. read more
