The guy said no, it's just been outside a bit and weathered hence the discount. When he brought it home, it did not work at all. He took it back within a week it was purchased and they refused to return or exchange it stating that IT WAS in fact used. The sticker and sign on the mower does NOT say used anywhere. He has all this documentation too. They actually said that this is not their problem. When he asked them if they would even cover the expense to fix it they said no can do. They sold damaged used goods knowing full well they would not accept a return. All my family lives here and they've always shopped here. Will absolutely NOT give them our business anymore. We were happy to make one stop to get all we needed. Our biggest compliment is for the customer service. Billend helped us from start to finish and did so with a smile. While I did not get her name, the lady at checkout was super sweet as well. Great job on staffing your store with helpful, nice people.

I used to shop this store often and it has always been a little more expensive than the big box…read morestores, but since it was local and helpful I bit the bullet. Until today. I had asked for a tote that was on sale and when I brought it to the front was told it wasn't. I brought the add in from my car and the young gentleman walked me back to see if they had the right size as he stated this was a 12 gallon and not the ones listed on sale (15 and 24 gallon m I believe). Mind you we are talking about a $3 discount. No more of the right size. No problem. I'll use my coupon. Nope. The pumpkins you are buying (no marking of sale ANYWHERE on those) come up when rung up with an "s" - so no coupons allowed. Again - not big money here, but the tone and level of condescension that was shown was just appalling. I turned from him and walked out of the store leaving my items at checkout by the front door. Then it got crazy. The older lady PROCEEDED TO FOLLOW ME OUT THE FRONT DOOR and berate me about coupons having restrictions and was I going to buy it or not. I was shocked. Absolutely shocked. I told her to stop yelling at me and talk to the gentleman. I've never seen anything like this at this ACE, but after today I would highly recommend driving the extra distance to Hermitage rather than risk the berating of the angry clerk and condescending gentlemen. The saddest part is - it was all over $3 when I was going to spend $25 Customer service is dead, friends. And they wonder why ACE's in general have trouble staying open.

They also employ local former inmates who are reintegrating into the community, and these guys need all the help they can get, so this is a good aspect of patronizing the store. The building is new and there is plenty of parking. It is conveniently located, although the hours are a touch limited and vary from day to day. The store employees are friendly and accommodating. On one occasion I returned an item to exchange for one that would fit my needs and the manager approved the exchange despite a store policy that would have otherwise prohibited it. This seems like common sense but, well, it's not the thing you can just expect anymore. I did not give the store a five-star rating because the pricing on many of their items is comparable to new and/or higher quality items. I think the store and the brand would be better served by a pricing policy that rewarded patrons rather than offering a 'hit or miss' gambler's philosophy.

Now in Smyrna not the same case, I bought a miter saw, I thought I seen there was a coupon on my phone and when I get to the register the supervisor who was ringing me up scan the coupon I thought i could use and he did, this won't work for this saw he said, but then the manager at the next register mentioned about a coupon to the sup, but he didn't take the time to look, when I got home I noticed there was a coupon for the saw. This will probably be my last time at this store, I visited this store many time and I don't see how I couldn't get the deal that was advertised, no loyalty here at this store, the manager was wonderful not the supervisor.

Tired of being stuck in the house, I decided to trek over to the store and check it out. When I got there, the tool was listed at $24.99. I told the clerk that I had just seen it online for $17.99 and she said if I could find a coupon, that was the price, otherwise it was $24.99. I looked on line for a few minutes but couldn't find the damned thing. I'm not playing stupid games. If you advertise it at one price, you should sell it at that price. In the state of Tennessee, fraud is defined as "An intentional deception or misrepresentation made by a person with the knowledge that the deception could result in some unauthorized benefit to himself or some other person." I can't see how this type of bait and switch would not meet that standard. I bought a rotary tool at Wal-Mart on my way home.
