In Summer of 2011, we had the exterior of our house painted. The painter had an extremely good reputation and suggested we use Sherwin Williams paint. We took our time to select the color. We put up multiple colors on our house to see how the color changed during different times of the day. There were lots of color combinations to choose from! Ultimately, we selected the Super Paint brand which boasts a limited lifetime guarantee. We are very happy with the paint color we chose and its endurance over the years. So far....so good. The paint looks virtually as good today as it did when the house was freshly painted. A complimentary nod to our painter's skill and obviously, the excellent quality of paint we purchased from Sherwin Williams. We recently purchased a new garage door. I wanted to touch up the garage door frame before the new door was installed. I pulled some of the leftover trim paint from the back of the garage so I could take it to the SW store to be mixed. Sadly, the paint was not sealed properly, air got in and it had dried out. Not to worry.....the wonderful employee behind the desk promised to fix my problem and took good care of me. Since my paint color had been discontinued and updated since 2011, we simply did a color match. He mixed me up a new pint (since I didn't need a whole gallon to do touch ups) of the same Super Paint brand I had originally purchased. It looked like a perfect match and I gasped a sigh of relief. After paying for my purchase, he even offered to walk me out to my car as he carried my paint out the door. Excellent customer service with a smile. We got paint here for our first nursery about 2 years ago, and recently got paint again for our second baby's room. Staff is always friendly and helpful when you ask for help. They don't bug you when you're just browsing, which I really appreciate. Probably not the cheapest place to get paint and supplies, but I'll keep going back for the convenience and good service. read more

I have only been there once few days ago to pick up some paint I ordered the day before. I got there at 8 am and I had to wait for 20 minutes before I can even be helped. There were two customers there that seem to be painters or contractors ahead of me and they were so loud on their cell phone while I was just waiting to pick up my paint and leave. The people that work there seem to be nice but I think they were understaffed and they were dealing with these customers who were loud. I had to wait for 20 minutes to finish 2 minutes task. We all have seen the ads, and heard the jingle, "Ask Sherwin Williams"..... Well as I experienced this weekend you sure as hell better ask Sherwin because by golly he will not offer to help you on his own free will. But don't get your hopes up to high, because if you ask chances are he won't even have an answer. Now I am not asking Sherwin to solve the economic problems of our country or find the cure for Aids. I simply was asking Sherwin the difference between flat, eggshell, and glossy paint.... or which paint out of the 10 million different types would I need to let's say, paint a bedroom for example. Because that is indeed what we asked and we got nothing. Oh and if you are having a hard time figuring out what color you would like to paint something, it might help stopping here because they are out of over half of the paint color chips. So the million colors to chose from just got cut down to a half million. Sherwin was able to offer alot. He was able to offer me alot of graduated frat-esque men who all seemed to have a likening for painting this Saturday which oogled and stared like they never saw two girls in skirts before. So had I wanted lets say Herpes or a one night stand, Sherwin you could have pulled through. But just wanting to paint a bedroom a different color and have some help in the process, the paint specialists were unable to help with. read more

He reminded me they'll shake my cans anytime in the future (no more messing with cleaning my paint stirrer), and checked to make sure my old cans' contents were in good shape for re-use. So there website said they closed at 8:00pm. We walked in at 6:55. The sales associate was not pleased to see us..... why...You might ask? Because there website was wrong and they actually close at 7:00pm. Oops! I need to buy 10 gallons of premium paint and I'm not coming back tomorrow! So I am a little irritated at this point. While the sales associate was not thrilled to see us, she did serve us and I was thankful for that! We got what we needed and went on our way. Customer service here is close to none. The employees here take a really long time to help customers. They always have a really long wait, not enough employees and the ones that do work there are unhappy looking. A little enthusiasm and effort go a long way. read more

Wanted to offer KUDOS to the employees who helped me last week. I called with regard to a DIY project that I wanted to try which was fixing peeling paint on a porch railing. The painter I hired awhile back did not properly prime the new wood before painting and it peeled within months of application. The gentleman I talked with on the phone from S.W and the 2 employees in the store helped me from suggesting what to buy which was stain and also tools needed for the project. This is not in any way in my wheelhouse so I appreciated their help. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this paint store. I've been coming to this place to get some paints for my interior projects since my contractor told me about their high quality paint. The exterior paint my contractor used looks still great (the contractor did a great job too) after 4 years. Their customer service is a top notch. As soon as you step into the store, they immediately welcome you and they are ready to help. If they are busy, they will let you know that they will get back to you as soon as they can. Their staff is very knowledgeable about their products and the painting process. If you go to a large chain store like HD paint department, first, you will be waiting for 10 minutes to talk to a paint guy and wait at least another 15 minutes to get your paint. The HD paint guys are usually unfriendly with your questions. At Sherwin-Williams, I hardly wait to talk to a sales person. My paint is ready in less than 10 minutes. You pay a little more (but they have 30% and 40% off sales quite often), but the quality of the paint is much better and the customer service is awesome. read more

I've had great experiences at other Sherwin Williams locations but not this one. I had some paint color matched by the Redmond store that didn't quite match properly. I happened to be in Kirkland and wanted them to do another color match and dispose of the old incorrect paint. I fully expected to pay for the new paint. I was treated so rudely by the sales kid that I simply walked out. A week later the Redmond store did a new match for free, disposed of the old paint and it turned out perfect. Horrible customer service at this location. We had ordered the paint in-store at about 9 am in the morning. Even though there weren't any other customers in the store at that time, they asked us to come back later in 30 minutes to give them enough time to get the tinting done. Fast forward 2 hours later, we returned to the store to pick up the paint but the store employee hadn't even started working on our order. They weren't apologetic at all and made us wait again. read more

I'm not sure if SW made some changes to this store based on former reviews but my experience here has been great. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable (Meaghan, Mike, etc...) I also used their 40% discount and unlike another reviewer, it does apply to the basic A100 grade. Maybe a recent policy change from SW. I even ordered the paint the day before the sale started and it was ready for me to pick up the next morning. read more

The store was having one of the 40% off sales which they seem to run every other month. We were looking at repainting a portion of our house's exterior this summer so I went and got a paint match. This has been the worst customer service experience I've had in any retailer in my memory. It turns out that the basic A100 paint I wanted was considered "contractor" grade and not covered by the sale. Fine, I asked what the difference between other fancy name varieties like "duration" and "eternal happiness" were. After being told that they were "good, better, and best" I just picked "duration" randomly so I could get on with my errands. I made the paint match request on Sunday morning and was told it would be ready later in the afternoon. I returned in the evening and was told it was not ready yet and would be ready Monday morning and I would be called. I never received a call on Monday and when I called in the evening, I was told it would be ready on Tuesday morning and I would be called. I was never called on Tuesday and when I called in the evening, it was again not ready and I was told it would be ready on Wednesday morning and I would be called. At this point, I had figured out the pattern and gave up and waited until Friday afternoon to call. During this time, I was never called for a pick up. When I called the store to check on Friday, I was put on hold for 5 minutes before being told it was ready. When I went to the store to pick up, there were 2 customers in front of me. I waited for an additional 15 minutes staring at the 2 associates working. No one bothered to acknowledge me standing 15 feet away from them while they watched paint shake and typed on the computer. I was happy to wait but a "hello" or a "we'll be right with you" to acknowledge my existence would have been nice. The only positive part of the experience was that the paint seem to be approximately the right hue and I was given the sales price without having to ask for it. Frankly, I've had better customer service in third world countries and fast food restaurants. read more
