I go in for art supplies but they also have paint and home decorating areas in store. The art supply area has many types of paper and brushes and a wide selection of different types of paint. I use leather paint and they carry Jacquard, however I do wish they would carry Angeles. They have all types of papers in an array of sizes and materials, and every kind of paint brush you could want, so head on in! There are only a few parking spots on days that it's busy, however that's only happened to me a few times. Overall, great store. Great products. Great staff. But since most of my house was painted years ago, I sometimes have to do minor updates. Or paint a repaired wall without repainting the entire room. Or just touch up some weird chip. I am a cheapskate (time and money) painter and I will not repaint an entire room without very good cause. I try to keep some of all my previous paints in stock at home but occasionally I find a "spoiled" or dried up old can so I take the label over and have a new small can made up. Which is what I did today. This usually works well. They match their old product base as closely as possible which is usually, but not always, good enough. Sometimes the wait to be served is lengthy as many commercial painters come in for large orders of paint and the store usually has a minimal number of staff available. I have never found a day or time that I could count on. It is very unpredictable. Today was no exception so I waited and waitted. The woman at the counter was very helpful and polite though.

I headed straight for the tool section, where Jude helped me track down the exact drill bits I needed. Both Jude and Nathan were excellent--helpful, patient, and friendly. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! But sometimes you need alternative choices on merchandise, or quick in and out convenience if you are in this shopping center for some of their local treasures like Sweet Cow or Lucky's or Neptune or Kim & Jakes or Pharmaca and you think of something else and this store will save you a separate trip. I saw something on their outdoor display area when I was leaving Lucky's and went in to check it out. It was what I had thought about to solve a yard problem, it was on sale and worked out well. The owner was there, he's had the store for about 10 years he said and I thought it was greatly improved since it's days in the 80s and 90s as Rad Hardware.

The team at Xtreme Painting Plus did an excellent job. We contacted them fairly last minute with a…read morejob for refinishing all of our old wood trim, baseboards, and window sills, plus painting a few rooms. The job took a couple days longer than expected but such is life when you're working with a lot of sq ft and simultaneously just had the floors refinished. The team was *incredibly thorough* with protecting the floors, walls, and other areas that weren't being painted. All of their prep work was top notch. The trim and baseboards came out gorgeous. And the rooms we had painted look incredible. It was a little more expensive than a couple other quotes, but I am very happy and feel like it was money well spent for very professional work. Attached photos are just two rooms, the green room they painted and did the baseboards. But they did work in 8-12 rooms in our house depending on how you count and every single one turned out great.
