I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to the Sherwin-Williams store on Bellevue Bel Road. While I typically expect a certain standard of professionalism, my experience was unfortunately far below par. Upon entering the store, I encountered a bald staff member who was, to put it mildly, incredibly rude and unhelpful. Their demeanor was dismissive and unwelcoming, making what should have been a straightforward shopping trip feel like an imposition. I found their attitude to be completely unacceptable and not at all reflective of the customer service one would expect from a reputable company like Sherwin-Williams. This individual's lack of courtesy significantly soured my entire visit and made it difficult to get the assistance I needed. Good customer service is paramount, and this interaction left me feeling undervalued and frustrated. I sincerely hope that management addresses this issue, as such behavior can severely impact a customer's perception of the brand and their willingness to return. The moment I walked in, 2 saleswoman greeted me, and asked how they can be of assistance. I had already looked on Yelp to see which Sherwin Williams had positive reviews. This one was recommended. I agree. Last year, I went to the Factoria store, no one greeted me, nor did anyone help me at all. After 15-20 minutes, I asked for help, no response. After 15-20 minutes, I walked out. They didn't acknowledge me. Way to go management! So the NE 20th store, I'm highlighting MARCO IRISH for helping me find the colors I chose, explained the quality of the exterior paint brands, and went more & beyond with her knowledge, and expertise in options of sheen, as well as mixed the trim paint, which required additional color to comprise the green hue I wanted to highlight the trim effect. She checked the best price, durability, including the current-35%. Marco also made sure my order will be available for my painter to pick up. I give her 200% for her efforts, accommodations. SHERWIN WILLIAM Company need to take note of this salesperson. I will definitely recommend her to my contacts. read more

I do not usually shop for paint. But yesterday, I stopped in at Sherwin-Williams Paint at SternCo shopping center in Bellevue. I bought a can of "hunter green" spray paint that absolutely HAD to be nonmetallic. The can cost me $5.79 plus tax, which I felt was reasonable. I could have gone to a big bargain store and possibly got the paint cheaper. But I would have had to hunt for an employee who could help me out. And then when s/he can, an employee at a bargain store is not likely to know s/his product very well. Whereas, at Sherwin-Williams, Eric was able to assure me that a can of spray paint that does not mention whether or not it is metallic paint, is in fact NON-metallic paint. Whereas, at a bargain store, an employee would probably just look at the can and say "Well, it does not mention "metallic", so I would guess it is nonmetallic". Also, I did not have to "hunt" for Eric to help me find my hunter green paint, as this is a much smaller store that specializes in paint. Nor did I have to hunt for the paint either as the store is small enough for me to easily find it.They do however only appear to have one small shelf area with spray paint. Even Eric acknowledged that a certain unnamed competition big bargain store across the street would have a much bigger selection. But for my application, it was worth paying a little more for the paint for the assurance that it was nonmetallic, as metallic paint would ruin my $300+ external cellular antenna's ability to receive and amplify a weak cell signal (according to the manufacturer). BTW, Sherwin-Williams does have metallic paint as well, including in spray cans. Don't get me wrong. Though it appears that they specialize mainly in brush-on paint, more than spray paint. In any case, I can see myself coming in here again if and when I need to buy paint, including (perhaps actually "especially") spray paint as I do not enjoy brush-on painting. read more

After inquiring with 3 Sherman Williams paint stores, Patrick was the only one who followed through with letting me know that my paint was in and had it ready for me to pick up later that day. I went in to purchase some latex paint the young man asked me what I was using it for I told him my cabinets he sold me a paint he said is what I needed. when I poured out the paint it was like glue. When I went to return it both he who claimed to be the manager and another person after I insisted on speaking to his boss both said they do not take back custom paint. I explained that I had asked for latex and the one above the manager said we don't sell latex paint . I replied you should've told me that in the first place and I would've gone somewhere else. I left the Unusable Paint, took the loss, and left. I will never shop at the store again. read more

I really want to give accolades to one of the associates who helped me the other day! Due to the samples being out (and honestly this is actually probably the appropriate amount for quite a few of my projects), I was getting 8 different colors in quarts. Not only did the two associates help get me a discount since they knew initially I was looking for samples and this would be much more expensive, they also helped facilitate the pickup of the eighth color at the store down the street since I was getting so much and they wouldn't have the full stock. While contacting the other store, the associate who I THINK may have been named Bell/Belle? in any case, only they/them pronouns were used for me over the phone. I'm not sure if this was just this associate's practice for all customers, but it made me feel so safe and seen! I am a nonbinary trans person, and when I don't actively TRY to "look androgynous" (which that day I did not), I usually am not correctly gendered by strangers. This experience TOTALLY made my day and this kind of employee behavior is what makes me feel loyalty and trust with brands! I certainly won't be visiting any other paint stores unless I really HAVE to, the staff here were so considerate and fantastic at juggling my huge order with the multiple other customer inquiries they were receiving! Still haven't bought any paint from this store, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the store was clean and well organized. Parking is limited and kind of hard to get into to and the store is small, but still a new place to pick up some quality paint. read more

Sherwin is always our Store to go for painting but I was poorly served when I went to this Bellevue store last (5/8/2018, pm)... there were two people and the younger rep was not able to help and relied on the other person w/ more experience who noticeably did not want to help me and treated the other customers very differently compared to how I was treated... I waited for my turn to be served but he then he decides to make calls before helping me and when he finally decided to "help me", I asked for 3 samples but got two instead. Then I had to wait for him to finish helping other people so I could ask him about the 3rd sample. Although he was not disrespectful he seemed uncomfortable dealing with me (like it was a drag) and then told me to mix the paint myself to get the 3rd one. read more

This turned out to be a great place to buy paint for my DIY project. The staff at this location are consistently courteous, helpful and friendly. I visited them several times to complete my apartment painting project. I always found parking was available along the street or in front. I used their Emerald brand paint which was easy to work with and looks awesome but its a little pricey if not on sale. I recommend signing up for their email to be notified of their 30% or 40% off sale. They also matched my custom colors perfectly. I highly recommend this location for their customer friendly, professional service. They stand behind their products and treat you like they truly appreciate your business. I was checking out of a rental house and the owner insisted I paint over some surface scratches from a couch. The wall was an olive-green brown and she did not have the paint, nor know the color. I had a chip half the size of my 5th finger as I walked in 15 minutes before closing to ask for a paint match. My sample was too small for the computer match, but Cole asked to see it. He showed me 2 options and I picked one. I was so impressed !!!! Not only did he find the match, but he was calm and pleasant. Needless to say it was a bright spot in my day.
