I took a sample of my actual ceiling into the Plainfield store for a paint match in hopes of not having to repaint my entire downstairs after a small repair in my kitchen.1. Salesperson tried to mix up a gallon of paint after I explicitly told him I only needed a small amount. 2. Salesperson told me I would pay as much for a quart as a gallon. (Not true, I paid $16.00) 3. Salesperson applied paint directly to my sample, held it a least 4 feet away to show that it "matched" when I told him to give it to me, it obviously did NOT match. He then added more tint, smeared more paint on my sample rendering it useless to match for color. I am going to try this on my repair but am preparing myself that I will be spending part of my spring painting 1200 sq. ft. of ceiling. NOT how I had planned on spending my precious free time. I have patronized both the Avon and Brownsburg stores with no incidents to the negative, service at both of those stores have always been very professional and I would recommend either one of them.

Our first project was a bathroom cabinet under the sink. We looked at other places for good cabinet paint and they had minimal options and colors. Sherwin-Williams has more colors than I could have imagined! He suggested the Emerald Urethane Trim enamel and we got it in the color called Slate Tile. He also suggested a specific kind of rollers because we weren't going to be spraying them and the rollers did a wonderful job making everything look like a professional had sprayed it. Our next project he helped us get the right paint for is kitchen cabinets which we haven't begun yet but we know it will be great because of how well the bathroom went.

I have been driving past this Lowes location for years and didn't really know of its existence…read morebecause I have a Lowes in Mooresville much closer to me that I shop at regularly. But my Lowes doesn't sell compactor trash bags for some reason and I have been going to the Bloomington store because it avoids traffic with practically all interstate travel for me. This Lowes does carry trash bags for my trash compactor and I saved a trip elsewhere because I came to Avon to shop at Best Buy and eat lunch. We also took a look at the outside garden department but only about half the stock was out because it's still early in the planting season. I used the check out in the garden area and got quick service. I found a garden tool I didn't know I needed until I saw it in the lane.

5 stars. He took me…read moreon a date to pick strawberries!!! How sweet! (Pun intended!) The fields were very wet/muddy, so I was glad he told me to wear shoes I didn't mind getting dirty. The hay ride over to the fields was slow and easy. The driver even offered to snap a picture for us. We picked just short of a full bucket. It came to about $20. They spoil fast, so have a plan! Don't just pop them in the fridge. Then, we went inside the store and grabbed a cantaloupe and some hard cider. The strawberry hard cider was perfection. It was like drinking a fresh strawberry. One of the best ciders I've had - top 3, easy! He said the cantaloupe was great, too! I grabbed a few stickers for my scrapbook and a magnet for his fridge at the little store in the porch. And oh!... don't miss the cider donuts! The plain are best. The icing was waaaay too sweet for me, Overall a fantastic outing! We will do it again!
