I did not want to offend her so I told her that it was not her hands but the money (most cashiers do not sanitize every time they deal with money). Then I handed her a 20 dollar bill, and she snickered at me, as if she had caught me in action or something. Little does she know I sanitize after handling cash; it's just something I do as a matter of hygiene. So, needless to say this woman is very unprofessional and disrespectful. Rather than being of service to her customers, she is making fun of them, not even knowing their situation. So please owner, if you are reading this, do something about your customer service. So far so good for me. I was running on fumes so I really needed gas. This gas station does not have a convenience store attached. At least, not a traditional type of one. The Denny's across the street is possible one of the least enjoyable in the area, so this intersection of businesses (mainly on the corners) leaves a lot to be desired. Gas is pretty high everywhere in Southern California, but a little less here, being one of the only gas stations on the block. Recommend other Shell locations, over just filling up at the pump.

I was buying a protein bar ($4) & $15 worth of scratchers and asked for just $10 in cash back. The employee pr oceeds to show me a $20 bill and says he can't give me $10 he only has $20 so I ask for the $20 and he points at the clock and says it's 9:20pm I can't do scratchers. I take my scratcher and he can't even scan the barcode on the protein bar so I tell him to forget it all. I walk back in to see him helping the next person with a hand full of winning scratchers. I know between 5pm and 7pm is a big time to avoid and the morning 8am to 10am if you avoid these times you are fine but still I never encountered this in my life I am 55 and so disappointed in this situation. I'm not very familiar with this area. Less than a quarter tank left. Won't make it to my usual…read morego-to gas station. What's a girl to do?!? This is the closest gas station, so why not? I figured I just need enough fuel to get home (which also happens to be near my preferred gas station.) I love that they have the contactless payment option (more especially now during a pandemic) so I opted for that. My issue was it didn't ask me for my PIN, which, of course, meant I couldn't even start the whole pumping transaction. I thought maybe I messed up, so I ran the whole process again but yielded the same result. I decided to move to another pump and VOILA! $25 worth of gas later, I was out. BUT THEN! (And this happened almost immediately), I get an alert from my bank saying there may have been a fraudulent transaction on my account stating I spent $100.35 at that gas station. (WHAT?!?!) Needless to say, I declined the charge. SHADY! I rarely come around this 'hood, but if I do and had fuel needs, I doubt I'd come back here.
