I can't say if the quality is the best but I will definitely be coming here to get my gas. I got the regular gas compare to premium. Which man oh man. Gas is going up and I can only imagine what's the price is going to look like in a few years! I let my daughter help me pump my gas and she enjoyes those little moments and I'm sure when she gets older she will always remember me for the little precious moments I share with her and staying off my phone and not letting her on the tablet. The only thing I like about Costco is the gas station and the great hours! I can go really early and there is never a line.

This specific location is ALL about timing. It's very convenient because you can get to the gas station directly from the street unlike other Costco gas locations where you have to maneuver around the parking lot. Prices are Costco prices, so it's good value. Time and availability of this location are pretty standard, but it's good enough where you can still get there without having to wait in a long line. Get here at a bad time and you're in for a very long line. This location has a few lanes with 3 pumps and a few with 2 pumps. The 3 pumps are located between the parking and street conversion on the station so it's usually the most packed. If you're trying to get on from the street, it'll be hard to squeeze in. This is the slowest Costco Gas in the world. You guys are unconscious. Some stupid old woman was taking 25 minutes to pump gas and you goofballs didn't even notice, not even when everyone was honking, and your stupid employees just stood there like deer in the headlights when several people started shouting at each other at about 10am on July 9th. He may have to wait in line for a minute, but it's well worth it. When gas is 419 at Arco with a $.35 service fee gas is 379 at Costco with no service fee. That's a big difference and you get 2% back at the end of the year. Just be sure and use the three tank lanes instead of the two tank lanes or you may have to wait a lot longer. Self serve so don't expect service. But if you do need any help, the guys are more than happy to chip in. read more

Its Costco and its gas. They are without fail the cheapest in any given area by design. Also its not like they have restrictions on membership so they tend to be crowded. This one was mid sized and the entrances were not well designed. The Costco's that were designed with the gas station in mind are usually fine the add on ones not so much. read more

Long line but definitely worth it to save money. You get 5% back if you use their visa card, it's a no brainer.

We waited in line for about 10 minutes only for the attendant to block off the lane. We were then cut off by 5+ cars who knew the routine (this is not our usual location). No clear directions on where to go and form a line and attendants are unhelpful. read more

So, I already love Costco, right? I didn't really think I could love them anymore to be honest. But the other day, I ran out of gas as I turned the corner in Costco's parking lot. They didn't have a gas container for me to purchase the gas a few yards away then bring to me car, but what they DID have were 2 incredible gas attendants and one of the cart employees (I believe he was at least) who pushed my car with me steering it the rest of the way to the nearest available pump! They did it making jokes along the way and offered the help after I said I'd just call AAA. It was such a rough way to start the morning, but they were the kindness I needed to change my day around. The prices at this station are great! And even by Costco gas standards. However, that also comes with the tradeoff that the lines at this location are often longer than other Costco gas stations. It's further impacted by the fact that the main entrance to the pumps is a reverse bottleneck. There is just 1 lane in that, after you snake around, opens up to all the pumps. That means if you're actually going to Costco, your ability to get in and out of the main parking lot can be tricky. With that said, if you don't mind waiting a bit, your time will be rewarded with cheap(er) gas. read more

Can't go wrong with Costco gas. You do need to be a member, but otherwise the prices are great. Don't be intimidated by the long lines. They move pretty quickly. It also doesn't matter which pump you you go to or what side your gas tank is on. The pump stretch long enough to reach around/over the car. read more

I stopped by this Costco Gas Station to get gas since it'd around where I go to the touchless car wash. I came around 6:30am on a Sunday to avoid the line and it was the best choice. There weren't a lot of people and when I pulled in, I was able to drive straight to the pump station. The process is simple, put in your costco card then your credit card. Just remember they don't accept AMEX so use any other card. You can't make a left turn if you're coming South from Sepulveda to the gas station directly after the morning so keep that in mind because it's a double line. You can likely get away with it when it's early since there not a lot of cars. read more

I pump gas here from time to time when I am in the area and in need of gas. Like every other Costco gas stations, it gets very busy from to time depending on what time you come here. Just recently, they added some lanes with 3 pumps in one lane. It's the first Costco location I have seen with 3 pumps. Unfortunately, not all lanes have 3 pumps. Van Nuy's Costco Gasoline station had become a heavily-frequented location since I did so much business in the surrounding areas. Along with the numerous rental properties I managed, various clients, events and projects I worked for and on took me all over Southern California, and one of my favorite breweries (Macleod Ale Brewing Co.) barely a mile away, inexpensive gas was a must for all the driving I did. On average, Costco's gas prices were usually about $0.20/gallon cheaper than the going rate everywhere else, and I was always about value. However, this particular location wasn't visible at all off the nearest freeways (e.g. 101, 170, 405) nor was it easy to get to once you exited the freeway. How did this location compare with others within the chain and in the area!? PURCHASE 87 Unleaded Gas ($27.50) - I was at the ¼-tank marker, and this location was in the direction I was heading back home, so why not fill-up for less!? Based on the wait in a long line, you would've thought there was a gas shortage (oh... the person ahead of me had issues with the pump)! Nearly fifteen minutes later, I finally pulled up to a pump and fueled up. After 10.58 gallons of gas at $2.59/gallon, my "Brave Little Toaster" was stuffed and ready to get out of the hot Valley! SERVICE Unless there was something wrong with the pump you were at, the machine was out of receipt paper, or your Costco membership card wasn't working, it was all self-service. There were numerous ways to enter the area which potentially created traffic jams that spilled into the surrounding parking spaces while a couple ways to exit with minimal space to maneuver once you pulled into the gas station area. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day and appeared like fluorescent lighting at night. There were no TVs or background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Personally, Costco Gasoline's Van Nuys location served its purpose with its low prices and proximity to the apartments I managed and clients I had in the area. Again, the distance from the nearest freeways wasn't convenient but easy to find once you arrived. This location appeared to share the same daily extended hours I've seen at others which was great for commuters. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $28.00; no applicable discounts/tips). I've been to a lot of Costco Gas locations but I've never seen one with 3 pumps per lane! Unfortunately it's not all the lanes, just two but it makes pumping gas so much faster! It's a gas station and the prices are about five cents a gallon less than other stations, plus there are cash back incentives depending on what kind of membership you have and what kind of Visa card you're using. I suggest using the Costco Visa for maximum benefit. I can offer you a couple tips though: 1) If you go early on a Sunday morning there is no line at all. If you go on a Sunday afternoon, the line is at least four cars deep. 2) The hoses are long enough to reach all the way to the other side of your car. Be careful if you reach the hose to the opposite side of your car because the hose will leave a black mark on your car and it will not come all the way off...even when using rubbing compound. I've notified other 4 star reviews simply because there is the potential for a longer wait time however I don't think this is a reason a knock them down a star; it's Costco - you know what you are getting into and sometimes I think the wait is longer because people wait for the entire row to clear instead of taking the open spot that's available (I might give my other fellow Costco gas shoppers a 3 star). There are 16 or 24 pumps (4 lanes with 2 pumps and 4-6 lanes with 3 pumps) available and that's a good amount. The hose is long enough that you can fill up from either side of your car. The gas is about 60¢ to $1.20 cheaper per gallon and it's also good quality gas. I wake up early in the morning to avoid the lines and that works for me. I've even gone later in the evening to reduce the wait. However If you are running late for work, this obviously won't be the gas station you stop at to fill up really quickly. read more

Two gas pumps per lane. As all Costco Gas it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Gas prices was a few cents cheaper than all the other gasoline stations. What stood out for me was the hand sanitizer. I usually gas up at Costco in Gilroy or San Jose and I must admit this location has the most pleasant hand sanitizer, very strong floral scent. I know I'm weird but during Covid hand sanitizing is a must in a gas station.
