Stopped by this Shell gas station today around 4:10pm and was greeted by a very nice lady by the name of Sidney. She was very pleasant with a pretty smile. I needed to get $30 worth of gas, 2 Gatorades, 2/$5, and one of my neighbors wanted for me to get her a Capri cigaret. It was $20.00 for the pack of 24 inside. I put the cigarette back since last time when I bought it for her, she never paid me. So she can buy her own cigarets. It has a mini market, an air hose, buckets full of water and soap to clean your windshield and your other windows (which I used), and an Ice machine outside. The gas station was very clean along with the store. Everything was nicely stocked and full. All the pumps were working fine, and the pump that I used was #6. I don't understand why all the bad, negative reviews? If you don't fill up your tank, how are you guys going to get around? That's what I don't understand.It even has a 7-Eleven nearby.. That's all for now until I am in the area again. Shell is one of my favorite gas stations next to Arco and Mobil.. All gas prices are expensive, but if you have a car and need to get around, then you need to put some fuel in your tank. Thank you all...... read more

Expensive compared to other stations in the area. Purchased a supreme car wash with my gas (to help bring down the price, and I needed it). Wash stopped and dryers turned on, my car was covered in soap. The attendant inside told me to take the window squeegee to get the soap off. Definitely shouldn't have been his answer. read more

Something odd here. Every time im in I hit receipt on the gas machine and it always says go inside. So then I go inside and they always say oh it needs to be reset. It'll be ten minutes. Every time? We go to Shell because of the Ralph's Reward program. Like this location because it has a lot of pumps and is a big space. We saved 70cents a gallon and filled up all the way. Good quality gas. We've been customers for years. Not critical for me because this location is close to our home, but they do not provide a restroom for customers. I think they should. read more

Quality gas and service at the south west corner of Magnolia and Van Nuys Blvd. We don't usually always fill up here as the Valerio nearby is a slightly more fair price, but do utilize the store for those quick grab and go favs #stayhydrated #snackattack They're always well stocked and the clerks on duty are plenty personable. One of the more spacious gas stations with lots of room for getting in and out easy when you do fuel up. Very easy and accessible no matter if entering from Magnolia or Van Nuys. Shell is always quality over deal in a pinch and I you have those Ralph's fuel points then this is definitely where you want your gas. The air and water pump work well here as well for those car care must. Usually prefer Shell and this location... More so when the price is right! read more

I have refueled in here for about 8 years. Recently I noticed that my car runs much less but I neglected it, believing that they are making a mistake in the mixture and would correct it soon. I have formulated a spread sheet which shows me my Highlander and RAV4 have an decrease of mileage from 17 to 14, and 27 to 23, which means: 21% less for Highlander and 17% less for RAV4. They are actually selling the gas (91 and 87 Octane) 21% and 17% more expensive than what we see on the bills. They have gradually sold the "Gas Station Reputation" instead of "GAS." read more

We only stopped in for a quick fill up and to use the bathroom. Didn't go inside. Paid at the pump. For the most part, the islands were clean. Minimal graffiti. But we were harassed by a homeless man both at the pump and at the outside restroom. Bathrooms were typical gas station bathrooms. Not the worst but certainly not the best. Kind of bummed that the car wash no longer offers any type of rewards any longer. In fact, for about 10 years I o my went to this station so I could do all of my transactions at the pump, never having to go inside to wait or interact with anyone. About a year ago, the pump was out of paper, thus forcing me to go inside and that's when I found out about the Buy 5 Get 1 Free, which is an okay deal. I always get the $13 wash and despite this, they offer the 6th as the $10 wash. Then I was told that they would honor my earned free one but that the program was over. So early Sunday, I went for a car wash but also filled half a tank so I didn't have to go inside and when my $50 transaction went through (91 Octane plus $13 wash), I pulled around to hit the wash and it there was an orange traffic cone blocking the entrance, so again I was forced to go inside and the employees were not aware that the drive thru wash was closed. So the head guy and I walk around and then he tells me that the dryers were out and that he had called for service. Anyhow, went again yesterday and still no dice, so I look up the phone number on Google and it is incorrect! I had seen that the car wash was now being branded under another company but so far not pleased with the change. read more

My experience here is only from the outside as I've never gone inside the convenience store: There are plenty of pumps. I use my Ralph's rewards card for a little discount which is really cool. I often go to the car wash and like any wash in SoCal, there's going to be a line. So make the time of you come. It's not a perfect car wash, but it's a quick fix for under $9. Unlike other chains, the dryer bothers me the most since it doesn't move around your car; instead, you have to drive your car out under it in a minute and half which I don't find to be effective. My side windows, particularly on the drivers side, don't get dried properly. There's a saying, you get what you pay for and with this car wash, it rings true, even if it's convenient! read more

I posed a negative review and received a response from "Shell" saying that they would forward the review to the station and that I would be hearing from them to remedy the situation. To no surprise, I never heard back. I have not been back to that station since I posted my original review. Also, I have told at least a dozen people and they too have stopped going to that station for gas and/or car washes. Also posted on NextDoor and FB and got a good response. So all in all, they have probably lost at least 150 people as customers. They are hardly the only station to choose from and as convenient as they are location wise, I will never go back there. The car wash is CASH ONLY and only $1 and $5 bills are accepted. They don't tell you this until you are completely through the car line and right up at the car wash. I waited in the car line for 30 minutes behind 4 cars only to finally get up to the car wash and learn this. If you're not going accept credit cards like every living human in 2020 assumes you will, there is absolutely no excuse for this bizarre and horribly inconvenient and archaic business choice of yours not to be POSTED CLEARLY at the BEGINNING of the line so as not to waste customers' time. I ran in this morning on my way to work around 4:30 am, gave my money & asked for gas. I ran back out and started pumping.... An attendant came out and asked me to repeat how much I gave, and I told him $15 on 4. I panicked thinking I didn't give enough only to find I gave too much. He handed over a $5 bill. Paid $9 for car wash. Not worth it. Bird crap on my car and I was hoping their most expensive car wash option would take it out. It only took out the top. The car wash worked so hard it even bent my side mirror so I thought my car would be clean but I was wrong. I've never had a car wash machine actually bent my side mirror. It was kind of scary. You're better off pouring soap on your car when it rains and just drive on the freeway. You'll get the same results. There are other car wash around the area that does hand wash for $10-$15 only. The customer service at this location is absolutely horrendous!!! I got a car wash last week and as my car was drying as I drove out, the attendant motioned for the car behind me to begin their car wash which resulted in my clean car getting soap suds all over the rear part of it. While I was a little irritated, I had a bunch of shit I had to do & just didn't have the time to wait for another 45 minutes to go through the wash again. So, I drove off & made a mental note to not use that car wash again. Fast forward to this evening when I stopped to get gas and went to pay for my gas to find an employee (Roni) rudely arguing with a customer over the same exact thing. He simply wanted either a refund or another wash to rinse off all of the soap suds left on his truck which Roni refused to give him (or offer any type of resolution to the issue at hand). I was completely blown away by how this customer was being treated & when I pitched in to say that I encountered the same problem last week, he started arguing with me as well. I have worked in customer service for a good portion of my life and have always been taught that "the customer is always right" (even when they aren't)....it's just bad business to argue with a paying customer. I never once in the history of my employment have worked at a place or had a manager who would support me arguing with a customer. Why??? Because it's bad business and it's just not professional. With this situation, there were a million ways that this could have been handled other than how it was & based off of other yelp reviews, clearly Shell (or at least the manager at this location) doesn't give a fuck about their customers or providing any type of customer service. So what ended up happening? I continued to watch this argument unfold over the course of about five minutes. The end result was the customer driving off in a truck covered in soap suds & me getting stuck with the backlash of the situation & Roni's shitty attitude. I bought a lighter because I was in desperate need of a cigarette after witnessing such an event and proceeded to drive down the street to get gas at a different gas station. I will NEVER give this Shell my business again and would advise anyone reading this to do the same. Total loser working here. I pull up to put air in my tires and ask very kindly for the man the turn on the air. There's 2 customers waiting in line and he proceeds to tell me I need stand in line and then once he's finished with customers I'm allowed to "ask him" to push the damn button. WHO DOES THAT?! You mean to tell me you can't multitask and push a damn button so we both can go our separate ways?? Even the guy in line was laughing saying it's okay for the worker to push the damn button. If you're ever in the mood of burning money, make sure to do a deluxe car wash here. After paying $8 for a "deluxe" wash, I told the attendant that it seems that your car wash is out of soap. He response was that you can't see the soap unless you pay more. Save yourself $8 and spray your car with a water hose. Contact Shell and lodge a complaint about this Shell station if you've had a bad experience! I am! And contact your credit card company! ----- I've been getting gas here for over seven years, and occasionally used the car wash. Until today I have not had the misfortune of dealing with the staff inside the convenience store - I still haven't gone in, but my bf did today. Filled up on gas, purchased a deluxe car wash (2nd tier out of 4 wash tiers), went through the car wash and the car wash stops at the end before drying the car at all. Just breaks down and becomes nonfunctional and the attendant by the car wash's exit apologizes and tells me to go inside and get a refund. I pull around the corner and my bf offers to go inside and talk to the person manning the store or manager - it's a saturday, nowhere to park, and busy so I stay in my car and he gets out. He comes back five minutes later, tells me that they refused to refund the car wash, and all they offered was a $1 refund - and the woman started arguing with him and getting agitated when he asked to talk to the manager, so he left. Fifteen seconds after he gets in the car the person he talked to, who was manning the inside of the store, a woman named Annie, runs up to my car (she has followed him outside) and starts ranting at ME, about how "she should have known I was an east coaster" (I have an out of state license plate) and then starts yelling some more. We both get out, talk to her, she's over at *another couple* outside (helping them fix yet another broken machine by another pump) and she's STILL yelling at me (I'm threatening to call Shell, the manager, and anyone else I can think of, and noting that she has awesome customer service skills). First, she started screaming at *me* when I hadn't even talked to her before, second, what the hell does 'east coaster' have to do with anything?, third, the car wash was nonfunctional and the attendant sent me in to get a refund and fourth, the workers here have some serial mental instability issues :/ Avoid! Worst gas station ever. I tried to get a car wash but the machine ate my money. When I tried to ring for help nobody came out so I had to go inside after waiting for the car in front of me to finish and lose my place in line. I told the employee about what happened and he told me there was nothing he could do. NIGHTMARE! Today I opted for their $7 car wash and the wash was 3 minutes long. My car was just as dirty coming out as it was going in. When I complained to the guy about it he started yelling at me. Two other customers got involved defending my honor as they saw the owner cursing at me. The owner had the audacity to tell the men they were favoring me because I am woman. Instead of putting up a sign at every pump that the car wash is not working they take your money and hope that you'll notice it not working, come back later, or don't come back at all. Which means they've taken/stolen your money. I stop in about every month and it never fails. There is always someone working who is upset about life and just not giving a flying kite about you. It is like they want their business to fail! I visited this location around 1130pm last night and tried to use my Shell rewards card before paying (the card which discounts your gas 3cents per gallon). The keypad was not allowing me to enter it, only payment or a Ralph's Reward card. I visited the cashier, a tired looking older man with white hair, to ask about it and was bluntly told "We don't take those". I questioned. "You are a Shell gas station that...doesn't take Shell rewards cards?" He responds. "No. We don't take those." I point at the signage literally next to his head promoting the card and question again "You advertise the card...but you won't take it?" He angrily says "No." I say "That makes absolutely no sense." He snorts, "Fine. Whatever. I'll try." He turns to the cash register. "How much do you want to put on here?" I explain that no, I'm not trying to pay with the fuel card, I will pay with my debit card. That I am merely trying to apply the card so I can get the discount. He is very annoyed with me now, saying "No, you pay now, how much you want I put on this card". I realize at this point that he simply won't understand what I'm trying to accomplish, so I ask for my card back and tell him "Forget it. I'll just go somewhere else." I take my card and begin to walk away as I hear the cashier's voice once more, this time shouting at me. He said, and I quote, "Fuck your mother, you fucking asshole." I turn around and say "excuse me?" He angrily stares at me for a moment, then throws his hands in the air and yells "fuck you" I say "Are you serious? Really?" Do not go here. I don't like writing bad reviews, and I rarely do it. But these guys are the worst and should be avoided. There are near my house so I've gassed up there off and on for 5 years. For the first year I even used their garage for auto repairs, until I got some secondary quotes and realized they were royally ripping me off. But still, they seemed like a convenient place for a fill and a wash right around the corner. BUT today I was in the car wash line and I was having some difficulties with the control panel near the wash. There's an intercom, which I keeping pressing for a full minute to no avail. Now, there were 7 cars lined up behind me. So I'm in line and I CALL the mini mart office on my phone asking for help. They tell me to come into the mart, this while the drivers behind me are getting irate. I enter the shop and the guy behind the counter STARTS YELLING AT ME! With other customers in the shop! Somehow he's pissed at me. Okay now I'm pissed back. He yells he doesn't need customers like me. Customers like me? The ones who've been coming for 5 years? What kind DOES he need? This is LA. We went to this gas station to use their vacuum. Unfortunately, after the machine ate our $2.00, we found out that the vacuum is not working. There is no out of order sign and the cashier refuse to give back our $2.00. According to him they do not own the machine. I do not care about the $2.00, but at least show some willingness to help or apologize. People managing and working at this location here are low life and very unprofessional. read more

My Jeep was given a nice dent and had paint scraped on the drivers side from this car wash. When I called to tell the staff inside,they said there was nothing they could do. I have been a customer at this station for 30 years buying gas and car washes, today I stopped in for gas and a car wash and I noticed my car was still dirty when finished. I went inside to tell the attendant and his comment to me was " if you don't like the car wash don't come back". I told him I have been a customer here for 30 years and this is my first complaint. He said "I don't know if that's true" you don't have to come here if you don't like the car wash. I said so you would rather lose a long term customer than resolve the problem. He repeated" if you don't like car wash don't come here". I asked for a manager, he said' he not here'. I asked for the managers name and phone number, he went outside to look at my car, and said car wash won't remove that. So I wiped the dirt off with my hand and told if the car wash won't remove that you have a serious problem I'm not going to pay $10.00 to leave here with a dirty car. I did raise my voice at this point because I felt like I was talking to a wall, he said if you're going to yell at me leave. I told him I wanted to run my car through again and he reluctantly agreed. The attendants name is Dipu and needs some serious re-training in customer service, if he had any to start with. He gave me the code to run my car through again and reiterated "don't come here if you don't like car wash. I told I am going to call the manager and complain about him, the gas station isn't the problem the problem is his lack of dealing with customer service. I've read all the 20+ negative reviews for this station and cannot understand why someone isn't concerned enough to correct the problem. I think this is a family run business and they're not afraid of losing their jobs. For me I will not go back until they correct the rude customer service. Let's be honest. I am not sure if all of these negative experiences effects business at this gas station. I had 20 minutes to kill before my sons dentist appointment. I thought we would top off the tank and get a car wash. My son is seven, he loves driving through the car wash. Unfortunately, topping off the tank and the car wash did not happen. As a business owner with 400 employees, customer service continues to paramount to our success. I cannot remember the last time my gas and car wash came with an insult. RONI, is a joke.
