It is very sad that this place takes advantage of people when they're desperate. I just left my office and my tire was low so I pulled into Sinclair gas on West Alameda in Burbank. They charge two dollars to put air in your tire and since I didn't have any cash, they charged me an extra $.75 to use my debit card. It's very sad with gas prices the way they are that they nickel and dime someone in desperate need. I will never go to this gas station again! Well- this is probably one of the more interesting reviews I've yet to post - but was seriously disappointed Sunday evening to go out of my way to get to this gas station... which normally is quite reliable and a pleasure to "gas up" at. Sinclair of course is the fuel company that over the years has featured model dinosaurs - particularly the giant one out in Palm Springs - as a symbol of where gasoline originally came from... And it tends to be clean, good customer service, and generally a pleasure to stop at. However... was disappointed to arrive to a completely darkened station at 7 pm tonight. I literally double parked on the street for a moment trying to figure out if the pumps were open as they looked so - but the entire station was PITCH BLACK at 7 o'clock at night! I tentatively pulled in front of one of the pumps, feeling somewhat unsafe given that there were no other cars, and given it was nighttime in LA. (gotta play it safe if driving alone!) Fortunately, just as I was examining the pump to see if it looked like it would accept a credit card, another few cars pulled up. But we were all tentatively maneuvering in the dark, and one person said out loud with frustration, "what the hell?!! Y'all too cheap to turn on lights for customers now??" To which I laughed and said "yeah - feels unsafe - I can't even read where to put my credit card!" Two cars kind of pulled in, then decided against purchasing gas given the fact that it was so dark. Eventually we ended up turning on the flashlights on our phone to pump gas - as if we were doing it in a power outage. And I couldn't help being frustrated that this gas station was "open for business" and HAPPY to take our money ... yet SO freaking CHEAP they couldn't turn on the lights so that we could safely pump gas we're paying for at night! The store was closed, which was fine, but the pumps were open - yet they literally had zero lights on EXCEPT IN THE LOCKED GARAGE... Including the sign that is supposed to show gas prices - which I'm pretty sure is breaching legalities. Anyway, you can see the pictures for yourself... Given that ownership is so stingy that they won't turn on lights, my recommendation would go two blocks down to the Chevron station where you can enjoy the safety of lights, the comfort of safety, and not risk being mugged or tripping and injuring yourself trying to pump gas at 7 pm. WOULD PASS and go get gas 2 blocks down at CHEVRON or SHELL- Their lights are on and the mini markets were open. read more

Came by for a fill up the other day and it was a quick and easy experience! Located a few blocks away from the freeway, signage was plentiful! Sinclair is Top Tier Gas. The gas pumps were in good working order with contactless payment options, payment at the island, and a receipt, all without leaving the island! Pricing is the lowest in the area by far! read more

I had a complex smog repair situation on my late model Tacoma and they helped me out and fixed everything perfectly. They went out of their way to help me and I really appreciate it. When you feel like someone it trying to pull a fast one cuz the day is slow and gas is hella expensive...This is the first time this happened to me and why I thought it was odd, I went to fill up gas here. I pressed the 87 gas and 89 light was lit, I stopped the gas and told the attendant, he said I got $13 gas I told him it was 13 cent and tried it again and the 91 light went on, called the attendant again, he came out and pressed 87 gas the 91 gas light up and finally the 87. I'm glad to see more of these Sinclair Gas Stations popping up all over Los Angeles. It is a 100 year old company that is family owned business. Their gas prices are inexpensive compared to most major gas brands. They have a Dino Mart with food water etc. This store has a lot of collectibles hats, T Shirts, dinosaurs with the Sinclair logo on them. read more

Having been born and grown up on the East Coast it's been great to see one of my favorite childhood memories of the Green Dinosaur and even BETTER that Sinclair is partnering with Independent, Family owned stations that are more connected to the local Community! I go here frequently when I am on this side of town and coming back from trips in San Diego or Vegas. On Gas Buddy I thought I saw a mistake about their store hours and so I called the Manager to find out if it was true, that they are open 24 hours. I commended his staff being very personable, friendly and helpful. He shared with me some of his experiences with after hours break-ins and theft and decided to leave more lights on at night and as he cannot shut off the pumps at closing - hence, the 24 hour availability which I love I feel like I'm in on their little Secret (albeit Gas Buddy shows the 24 hours that very few pay attention to) - Open 24 hours (pumps only) you just pull up, use your debit or credit card, Fill-up and you're on your way. The lighting is lower than regular evening hours but I would still deem "safe" and I am picky but I do not recommend for women to go after hours by themselves. Also, the QUALITY of the gas is great, compares with Mobil & Chevron and surpasses Costco, Arco, Shell, 76, etc. We get 3-7 miles more per gallon with our Priuses than these other brands. While the station is a little too small for more than 6 cars at a time, it IS a quick little nostalgic experience adjacent to another quick little experience 150 yards away from the Disney Offices where the Seven Dwarfs hold up the Top Floor of the Disney building which is visible if you look carefully. Another little secret that I feel like I'm a part of, and now you can too! :-) read more

Small and cramped pump array but this place has the cheapest gas in the area. Don't expect too much but you will save money compared to other stations in the area. This place is about a buck cheaper than some of the more expensive spots. Check it out but be patient because you can't squeeze in many cars at the pumps so there'll be a wait. read more
