Went to pump gas at the gas station. I put in my rewards code and used a credit card to pay. Waited 5 minutes and it kept saying "please wait". I went inside and told the worker to cancel it. He said okay it's canceled. So I left and went home. I just got a email to my rewards with a receipt saying I pumped gas for $55. Basically after I left someone came and was able to pump and it charged me. What a scam. read more

I had a terrible experience at this Shell Station. I've actually never been much of a fan of Shell Gas Stations in the past, and this Shell Station was no different. First, I went inside this Shell Station to prepay for gas with cash, and the person working the cash register made me wait for about 10 minutes while he finished laughing and making chitchat with a friend of his who was in the store that day. After I paid for gas, I came back into the store to use my debit card to get more gas, after I was told at the pump that my card was declined. The owner then proceeded to look at me smugly, then he put on a huge plastic face shield, and then he proceeded to tell me that he refused to try my debit card again because he said it was denied at the pump. One of the reasons debit cards get denied at the pump, is because you have to have like $50 or $75 in accessible funds in order to get approval at the pump. I realized my card has less than $50 in funds available, and so I went inside to pay with me debit card, only to be treated extremely rudely and turned away disrespectfully. I believe there is a reason why this Shell Gas Station has terrible reviews. read more

Every single time I go to the Shell station to put gas buy me a drink. There's always the cashier lady her name is Sandra she makes me wait I don't know if she does it for every other customer but every single time I come into the store I always have to wait until she's ready to cash me out. Sometimes she will leave the store unattended I have to go find her in the parking lot and wait for her to come back into the store. I don't really think this is a good experience you should have to experience. And I mean she does this to me every time I have to wait until she becomes available to help me. read more

So I literally just bough this from there today and I didn't look at the expiration date like I normally do on my girls drink. But once I got to a park, I notice stuff in my drink and then I proceed to look at the date after and it was dated back to best sold by July 21/2019. I rarely come here and sometimes regret it. The cashier is always nice taking my money but if I need help forget it. In the past I had stubs punched for the free car wash but they were a stickler about not adding the stubs together. Okay, fine. By the time I got one filled the program changed. Never got a free car wash and had to join the new loyalty program a while back. Today I put in my phone number. It didn't take. She said it was my fault I pressed the wrong button and I canceled my number. I asked she cancel the car wash and start over. She refused saying, "No it was your fault." I told her, okay, I wanted my money back, she refused and reiterated the former statement over and over. She is right, I'm the dummy for coming here. I stopped here on the way to a wedding and was in and out in a jiffy. The only reason why I chose this station over others is because this was the only one on this corner area that didn't have the Cash Prices vs Credit Card pricing posted. This seems to be the norm from Kettleman City up to NorCal. It was everywhere! I applaud Shell for not going to the dark side. The only reason why I couldn't give them an extra star was because I (meaning my husband) went to clean the windows and the water was filthy! This place has the worst customer service ever. The car wash doesn't work most of the time and there was a time when the wash stopped when it was adding soap. I went in and the cashier had a really bad attitude and said it was my fault. I went the next time and she was giving me an attitude saying that if there's a problem she won't refund, when I simply asked to purchase a wash. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager and owner. (I highly doubt it) I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. I never have a problem with any other car wash I go to. Beware of this place, the person working there has no ethics and she treats Shell's customers badly. read more

This is the worst gas station. Their pumps always have an issue, there is never a time where all pumps are working, at least 1 is always down. The air station is broken nearly half of the time. My recent issue was the car wash. 3 cars including mine attempted to get a wash but it wouldn't work. I requested a refund but the clerk said she couldn't, then I asked if I could have the same money's worth in gas instead but all I was offered was to return another day when the manager was there to get a refund. The purpose of these quick gas station car washes are for convenience, and nothing about my latest visit was convenient. I spoke with the manager over the cell phone of the attendant and was told to come in later, but after her attitude and lack of an easy on the spot solution, I do not want to give my money to this establishment. They kept my money, refused to refund me, so I will be contacting Shell directly, and will no longer return to this location. read more

GAS! GAS! GAS! Let's just say, I have the card from Lucky's to use here to save some cents per gallon, which is mediocre. The service here is okay depending on who it is. Last time I used my card here, and the hose wasn't long enough for my car, so the only way I had to do was to turn my car around and re-park it. I told the cashier if it's possible if I could use the card again, because I had to re-park my car due to the hose, she was annoyed of course, and said the next time I do that again, she won't do it for me or anyone else. I was just here for the carwash. All the cycles of the wash and all of the brushes seemed to be in good working order. The back of the lot is shaded and gives you a good spot to park and dry off your car or truck like I prefer to do. read more

Should be zero stars. I can see why this place has so many bad reviews. I don't believe they could care less about the reviews. People need gas, so they will always be making money. But the car wash. You have got to be kidding. Went there early morning, and paid for the works. Blower didn't blow any water off of the vehicle, and rinse didn't get any of the soap off. It was still dark, and I couldn't see how actually bad this was until the sun came up. The soap dried to my car. I had to go somewhere else to get it buffed out. The worst part: I tried to call, and the number was disconnected. I had to go through Shell to get anything done. This was also a joke. I had to call Shell over, and over again. They didn't care either. They kept giving me reference numbers to my so-called case. So stupid. I had to become a real jerk to get them to take this seriously. Finally after over a month, I get a call from someone from this station. Full of excuses, and after arguing with me, he says he'll give me a refund. What was really funny is that he says he will have to give it to me out of his pocket if I really wanted it. I don't care where it comes from. This stupid f*cking place just got remodeled and still got annoying lousy customer service. I came for the car wash and gas, while I was getting my car wash, the wash got jam which leaves my car stuck so there was a fat ass line and I had to exit with my car that had soap still all over it, demanded my money back and for them to water my car at least. Instead, they gave me some bullshit bout no money back but can refund my car wash. Really? I have to wait in the f*cking long ass line again while my car dries up in soap? Terrible. 1/4/13 I went back & spoke with the manager today & she was very cordial. She gave me back the difference & she called someone to come fix the pump while I was standing there. Her demeanor was professional & completely different than the cashier who "helped" me last night. I upgraded my review to 3 stars instead of 5 because I had to return the next day to speak with a manager for my refund when it should've been given right away. How many more people were ripped off during that 24 hours on their price of gas & their car wash? read more

I have come here several times and it's always meh but today was awful. I came to get gas and a car wash. The carwash DID NOT have cones out and sometimes there's a sign taped to each pump but nothing today, so I paid for a carwash...then the pump says I have to go inside to get the receipt with a code on it. Once I get inside to the clerk, there is a small hand written sign saying the carwash was broken. I asked the clerk if I could get a refund. No. I have to come back another day, maybe it will be fixed tomorrow. So now I have to hold onto the receipt and hope that they fix it soon. And it was weird experience with the clerks. I was talking to one clerk and then the girl clerk next to him kept answering in English after he said something to her. I think he understood me but didn't speak English well enough to answer me directly. They were pleasant enough people but it was a frustrating experience I'd rather avoid again. The last time I came by to use the self vacuum outside the car wash, it was broken. I guess if you come for gas, great. Just don't try the car wash. read more

There are never any paper in the pumps for a receipt. I had to walk inside every time to encounter rude attendants when asked for a receipt. This is one of the worst gas stations I had visited. read more

Went out of my way for gas and car wash. Most of the pumps were inoperable. Spoke to cashier who directed me to working pump when i tried to prepay and get a car wash. He said I could use my credit card. I scanned card and selected car wash. After filling, I noticed there was no car wash. Went back inside (third trip inside). Got the receipt and bought a car wash. In line at wash I noticed that in addition to waiting 40 minutes to get gas, they also charged me full price for gas and car wash. Back inside again to talk to cashier, he said he couldn't credit me for the gas price difference because I bought the car wash after I got gas. Terrible service. Waited in line for over 35 minutes for a car wash, only to get up to the machine for it to say that the credit/debit swipe wasn't working and I needed to go inside to get a code. Yeah right!! I pass by this place everyday on my commute to and from work, and typically fill up with premium shell :-). Recently they serviced the underground tanks and have since been advertising a discount if gas is purchased. Since the place was shut down for weeks and had construction going on I figured they had also finally fixed the car wash that was constantly out of service in the past. So today I filled up and purchased an express wash, I drove up to the car wash and watched the machine do it's thing. I usually find these automated car wash machines entertaining, but in this case, it was just plain sad! The brushes didn't even scrub my car completely, and seemed to be way off from what they should be doing(washing the car). I pulled out and looked at the car, as I expected it was still dirty. I went to the attendant(Named Candy) for help with the issue, and told her what had happened. I simply told her my car was still dirty(machine had completely missed my roof and the back of my car!), and would like another wash or a refund. She then said to me "what did you expect for seven dollars?", a carwash of course! She then said"it's not the same as the $8 or $9 wash". I then asked her, if I pay the $8 or $9 dollars, would the machine wash my car properly? She then responded "I don't know..." and added, I'd have to speak with a manager tomorrow for a refund. Since the line was building up, I just gave up and cut my losses! I can't believe the horrible customer service this place has, and after reading some of the other reviews I'm now completely convinced this place does not care for it's customers at all! I'm never spending my hard earned money here every again, and definitely not recommending it.
