This is one of the few gas stations that also has a wide drink selection and hot food. If I am kinda hungry, I know I can get a quick bite in addition to filling up my gas tank. They also have a good drink selection from canned drinks to bottled drinks to fountain drinks. They often have deals on food and drinks. Staff cool to talk to often too. read more

I usually just pay at pump and go ok my merry way. Today my car like really needed a wash - I probably should have run through twice! So i went in to grab a snack. OMG - they gave so many Mexican pastries! I was not paying attention, saw a chocolate donut & grabbed it. Then, I saw it - a churro donut! Then a concha, then a chocolate concha! I need to go back! Inside the store was super clean and they workers were very nice. read more

This is definitely one of the better ARCO locations because it has a lot of gas pumps and a huge selection of snacks and drinks as well. I love how you can use your phone to tap on the pump to get gas and the pumps fill your tank very fast as well. The staff is very nice and they are always smiling and moving the lines quickly because this Arco location is always busy. I also love that it has a car wash and also the store is very clean as well. I can see the staff is always keeping the store clean and restocking the shelves all the time. I would drive out of my way just to pump gas at this particular ARCO location just for all of the reasons I mentioned. read more

Avoid the car wash. It wont wash your hood. And the employees only response it that the car wash acts screwy. I ran it through twice. How about fixing it or putting an out of service sign? Wasted my time and money. The gas station is clean, if you dont mind that the employees dont remove beggar and homeless and people who block pumps unless you give them money for gas. read more

Always somehow closed when I head over here and never a single staff member doing anything when available.

Gas was fine. Gas is gas and there was no line. But I got a car was and it didn't work my car did not get dried. So I had to go back to cashier and she talked to manager and they don't give refund so I had to run it again with a lower level car was. Went thru again and it didn't dry my car again. I don't know if it was defective or what. But I went back in and they said it's my fault. Not great customer service so I asked for towels so I can dry it myself. Such bad service. Will get gas but not car wash read more

Here at Arco on capitol expressway and Quimby be prepared to wait because there is always a long line. Prices seem reasonable but you would expect them to be cheap when you see the long lines. I you could only come in one way and if you come in the wrong way but attend it will surely let you know. A+ is that it's conveniently located right off of capital expressway. read more

Used to be a good car wash when they first opened, however it has gone downhill. Price went up and they cut the wash time as well as the undercarriage spray when entering the car wash. Do better! read more

When I come home to visit my parents in the Evergreen area, this is where I usually get my gas. Pros: -Cheap Gas -Easily Accessible-Right off Capitol Expressway and Quimby Road -Close to Eastridge Mall/Grocery store/bank-Do all your errands in one place! -Auto Service center-I've always gotten honest service here when I need an oil change-about $20-25 bucks and done really quickly! -Free Air & Water (some gas stations don't have them!) Cons: -Cash only (or use Debit for a fee) -Long lines -Hoses don't stretch very long. You can't pull it to the other side. -Lots of a$$holes and d*cks. Always trying to pull in the wrong way and cutting you off. -Very sketchy late at night Pro-Tip: Enter from the back side coming from Eastridge and you won't risk getting stuck on the busy main street trying to get into the station. read more

Cheapest gas in the entire area! Be prepared to pay via cash as paying with card charges you a fee for it's usage. The cheap prices here attract a crowd, so be prepared to wait. Used this gas when I was renting out a car temporarily and found the gas to burn quickly shortly after filling, you get what you pay for right? read more

I only go here to get my car service. They are very nice and helpful. They do stuff quick here unless you have to keep your car there until they call you. They are fairly price when doing a service on your car. I got my oil change for only $25. I will definitely come back. read more

No cash back at night. They should have a sign or something. I requested cash back and only after I was charged she told me they can't.

This review is for my oil changes. When I am in town, this is the only place I go to get my oil changes. THE ONLY PLACE!!! Service is extremely quick and cheap!! And probably the mechanics know me well since I have been going there for years, so I never have to wait!!! Lucky me!!! I also stand there and watch them changed, so I know what's coming out and what's going in!! read more

I liked that they updated the stations to have the t.v's over the last ten years or so since I've moved away from the area. This place is as busy as ever but it looks like they still keep the same great prices. Which is awesome for me. I do wish however, that Arco would do away with the fee's on ATM's but I guess that's how they make the big bucks. (booo) If I'm ever on the east side and in need of gas, this is the place to go "fosho" read more

My Ratings: Price - 5 Stars Location - 4 Stars Service - 4 Stars Speed - 2 Stars My Opinion/Story: I agree with other people's reviews. Cheapest gas in the area, quite comparable to Costco gas, open all the time (except when they're renovating), and provide something to watch while waiting for your tank to fill up. But takes only ATM or Cash, long lines unless you come at an odd time, and the hose is short so it's hard to reach from the opposite end. Other than that, I really can't complain since I get my gas cheaper here plus the lines are quite organize than other locations. read more

Three stars for the price! The cashiers are ok but the owner is a crab sometimes! The other guys in the car bays are nice in spite of their boss. Just a warning.... The lines are really long in the morning and on the weekend party nights! read more

ARCO - Gas - Gas Stations Near Me - San Jose, California

This is my go-to spot for gas. I've been coming here since I started driving at the tender age of 18! This location is unbeatable! Super convenient and close to everything. There's Eastridge Mall and off a busy street, Capitol Expressway. It's apart of my transition to adulthood, as getting gas and starting to drive is an 'adult' responsibility. I come here at all times of the day and night, sometimes at the wee hours of 3 - 4 AM just to pump gas. The people who work here are very nice and friendly. They let you get air and water for free, you just need to let the cashier know, otherwise you'll get stuck with paying for it (25 cents). I normally see the same people who run this gas station, an older Asian man and a couple of Asian women. I've also had to use their auto shop, because of a nail (twice). Gas prices are always reasonable here, and I come here mostly for the convenience. Great people, cash or debit only, quick and easy. read more

Be careful with a lady working day shift at this gas station, make sure she count your money in front of you before going to the pump.

Pros: Usually the cheapest Gas in the area. Open 24/7. LCD, something to look at other than the gas/price meter. Cons: Hose is shorter than most, do not try to fill up if your tank is on the opposite side as the hose. The wait is long unless your gas tank is on the right. Does not take Credit Card. Takes ATM, but will charge you a fee. Note: Line are long so it's best to usually come in from the back. read more

The female employee who answered my call around 10 AM today was very curt and incompetent. I merely asked for a smog check quote, and she was unable to transfer me to the correct person, even hanging up on me. I used to think that oil changes can be done anywhere, but a few experiences here have definitely changed my mind! A couple years ago, I went in to get my oil changed and asked them to check out a noise my car was making. One of the gentleman told me what was going on, but he told me that before i did any other work, my tires were almost bald (such a clueless girl, know nothing about these things) and should be a priority. They don't even sell tires here, but they recommended that I go take care of that before I took care of anything else. Since then, I have been faithfully coming here. I know that they will be honest and efficient. Highly recommended!! read more

I used to come here for the gas, but I'm a 76 user =P......so my review is for the service station. I go here to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Great service and cheap price! $35 for oil change and tires rotated! But of course this may change due to what type of car you have or requesting a pricier oil. My husband's Benz was like $100 something, since it takes top notch products. Sometimes you would have to wait to get serviced since they can get pretty busy, I would say 10-20 minute wait....unless you are lucky and they just finished with someone than they will help you. read more

We've been taking all the cars in our family here for years. Steve is a super honest guy. It has gotten to the point I just drop off the cars and have him call me when it is done. Alway a fair price and never worrying about him trying to sell me on unneeded work as with many mechanics do these days. For maintenance and repairs I highly recommend Steve at Evergreen Arco. read more

This place told me my truck was too big for the pump to reach over my bed. Mind you I FILL Up here every 3-4 days and pump gas the same way. They refused to turn the pump on and said I needed to get back in line. Plus it was crazy packed on a Friday, 4pm. Very stupid. read more

My mom recommended me to get an oil change here because it is cheap. I've been here before and the first time they only charged me around 30 bucks. This time around, they charged my 55 bucks because my car uses a higher grade oil. I don't really know much about cars and I don't understand what made it different from the last time I went?? Whaddevz. The service was good because it took them about 15 mins to change the oil, and pump the tires. I would come here again because it is literally less than 5 minutes from home, and I'm lazy. read more

Steve and Lee are great guys. Honest and fair priced. I get all my auto needs done by them!

Very disappointed today. My moms car battery died while she was pumping gas there today. They gave her a jump only for it to die again. She asked a couple of the workers if the would push her to the parking lot next door so she could get out of the way of other customers. They were reluctant to do it then they finally pushed her car just enough to get her out of the gas station and left her blocking an isle in the parking lot next to them. As they walked away my mom saw them laughing. I will never go to this place again. read more

I just got gas from this arco 5 min ago and I put $20 on my tank and when I start my car I swear it's only give me $10 worth of gas in my tank. First the machine to purchase the gas wasn't work properly and then when I put gas in my tank it makes Gargle noise like I'm only pump air instead of gas!!! I don't like getting ripped off when I worked very hard for my money. Watch out people don't pump gas in this arco on quimby road San Jose. read more

I have a 2014 Honda Odyssey with gas tank filling up on the left side. It seems that this Arco gas station is the only place that gives me a hard time filling my gas on the left sided pumps. Costco.... No problem, 76.... No problem, Chevron.... No problem, Shell.... No problem, Rotten Robbie's.... No problem. Just this place. I don't get it. I've even filled my gas there before on the left side with no problem. Don't know what there problem is. But not all of there employees know all the rules OR some have a bad taste in there mouths and they take it out on everyone. What ever. Just wanted you to know. read more

I've been going here for years, today I had the guy come and tell me i couldn't back up to have the hose face my gas intake.
