Came by for a fill up the other day and it was a quick and easy experience. As this was the cheapest Top Tier gas on this side of town, every pump was full upon arrival. Arco now takes credit card with pricing clearly posted by the curb. There was foam hand sanitizer that was available to use along with paper towels and squeegee with water. The fuel pump worked flawlessly and even was enabled for NFC cards. The fuel pump island also had receipt paper after the transaction! Gas station was clean too! Used to love this place due to the convenient location. But few days ago, I had gas here, added full tank, paid more than $50, after five days of only driving to work ( about 7,8 miles a day). Half tank was gone (which should let me drive 192 miles)!!!!!went to the dealership to check if there is a leakage or mechanical problems, nothing is wrong!!!! Filled gas again at Shell, it never happened, everything back to normal!!! Low quality fuel!!!!!!! read more

ARCO - Gas Stations Near Me - San Jose, California

Reasonably priced gas (for Bay Area) they had window washing tools, water and paper towels. It was a very busy station on a busy corner. It is a small tight station and very few customers are wearing masks! I don't want to ding their ratings because of customers! The business can't force people to do the right thing. You cannot enter the store w/o a mask... Signs everywhere asking people to mask up and stay safe! BOO to all the people at the gas station not wearing masks! Zero stars for you! read more

One star is actually too good for this place! Zero stars is more accurate! The man behind the register is SOOOOOOOO RUDE!!!! He was on the phone the entire transaction and extremely unprofessional. This ARCO is the one gas station that I go to every time I'm in Bay Area. It has the best value and most convenience. It opens truly 24/7. However, it's kind of small in the pumping bays. There are only 8 pumps. No diesel, sorry truckers. The path is really hard to maneuver at pumps #1 and #3, watch out for the wall next to Happy House. The crumbled wall is a clear sign of accidents. The technology is great. Go to one of the 2 kiosks and interact with the machine. It takes cash and cards. You pay extra for cards. Very long time ago (like few decades), it used to give discount for using debit. I'm just saying. There's a convenient store called AM PM. That's a different feeling. The attendants didn't like me taking photos. So? How can I come back if I can't remember it has the cheapest sodas and most coffee variety? read more

Friend needed gas for his car so we stopped by. It's next to Happi House on the corner of Saratoga Ave & Kiely Blvd, not too far from Ramen Halu. Heading back home: Hwy 280 is on the Left - pass the sign. Arco gas is usually pretty cheap and doesn't take credit Cards. Only CASH or Debit Cards. Prices on Sun 5/17/09: $2.43 - unleaded $2.55 - unleaded plus $2.65 - unleaded premium He only put $20 in. They had a squeegee. read more

They're all kinda the same, so at the end of the day it's just a matter of cleanliness, friendiness, and convenience. This location is cleaner than most... the people are nicer than many... and it's two blocks from my apartment. Gotta give at least four stars for that. read more

My list of complaints: 1) One way only fill up so you have to drive around and follow the damn arrow 2) Credit card charges a 0.35 fee 3) Cash machine takes forever to suck your money in 4) Cashier wouldn't let me pee so I had to pee in a cup in my car. This place is terrible when it comes to forms of payment, and charging you to pay. To use a debit card it's $35 cents. For me it's $35 cents plus $50 because my bank charges me. So $85 cents just to get gas at a gas station with my card, crazy. They won't do credit either. read more

I never thought I would ever write a review (good or bad) on a gas station, but I got a pretty bad experience this week-end (did not last long, as I left): no only I get annoyed when gas stations do not take credit cards (I don't even mind to pay a fee), but the station was infested with little bugs/flies that came all over us and inside the car. It had to do with the (lack of) cleanness of the place, as, right on the the road, the Chevron station was not affected. read more

They are the best. I love this gas station. The staff is cool, and they always have the place very well lit and I always feel safe here. I love close so I'm always getting gas here (really the only gas station I'll go to unless I'm out of town). They are also open late which is a huge plus! read more

The store has been recently renovated and is super clean! They also removed a lot of the shrubs along the side which allows for two way traffic now! Can't beat the prices and the service! During a recent visit I found a delicious mango flavored aloe vera drink! Will be back for more! read more

So I really dislike leaving negative Yelp reviews, but I just had a very bad and embarrassing moment here. I go to this station frequently to get gas because it's cheaper than the surrounding stations, hence why I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. I went inside the AM/PM to get lotto tickets as well as gas. I went up to the middle-aged woman and asked, "May I please have $30 on #6 and 3 lotto quick picks?" She looked at my card and said "I need to see ID." Me: "It's a debit." Her: "I still need it." So I went back out to my car and had to wait in line again. Full disclosure: I had my wallet stolen the week before so I had an expired ID and a temporary paper license. She saw that the ID was expired and I already had the DMV-issued license ready to show her but she refused to even look at it. Her: "No, we don't accept that." Me: "It has my name and my photograph to compare to the card. It's the law that you have to accept the government issued license." Her: "No. We don't accept those." Me: "So it's the law, but you don't accept it??" Her: "Yes!" At this point people around were looking and it was a upsetting situation to be in. So, out of frustration I said, "Fine, then I'll just call the police and have them deal with it." Then I walked out and just used the outside kiosk to pay for my gas with my perfectly legitimate debit card and pin code. Obviously I wouldn't call the police and waste their time with this, but she was acting moronic. I'm 27 and I've never been asked to show my ID for a debit card before, only credit cards. In fact the man before me used a debit card and wasn't asked for an ID. Maybe it's a lotto ticket rule and I understand them wanting to check for security purposes, but I have my PIN number and a photo ID with my photograph and same name that is on the debit card. It shouldn't matter that it was expired if I have the proper documentation of the temporary license. She just chose to not serve me for some unknown reason and was too stubborn to admit that she was wrong and this deserves repercussions. I'll be contacting their headquarters about this. read more
