It was that time in my trip that I was in need of getting some gas and I found myself here. Prices seem to be the norm for the area, so I wasn't worried about that. It was kind of dead when I pulled in and was the only car there. That made it fast for me to pull up to a pump and get my gas. Walked inside afterwards to get myself some cigarettes only to find out they do not carry the type I look for. It made for a quick stop inside. This location has a service garage attached to it. Inside there is a little seating area that people can wait for their car if it is in the garage. Nothing else really seemed to stand out from this location. read more

I filled up my car today and the Pumps we're running very slow. The pump finally shut down before I've completely filled up and I went into ask the attendant about it and she said just start over. I asked about getting my discount again and she said no. So I left and finished at the BP next door. Poor customer service. read more

The one reason I go to shell gas stations is because your vacuums and air except credit cards. This vacuum is constantly notexcepting of credit cards. When you attempt to insert your chip it bends your card. Why is this important to me? This is a tax deduction and adds up at the end of the year. First of all its overpriced. Thats the first reason not to go here. Next. I went here for a state inspection for my car. They refused service . The first person that approached me told me that it was ok and that I could bring in my car. The manager (I guess) told me no. Then gave me this bold lie that they did not do inspections when it "rains." The first person that told me I could bring the car looked in amazement to his answer. I have no idea if it was a racial thing but I can see no reason for denial of service. It was not late, there was only one car in the garage, it was not even raining that bad. I was not given any other explanation as to why I could not get my car serviced. I will never go here again. read more

Usually the windshield washer cleaner containers will be found empty. How hard is it to fill these? Sometimes there's trash in there. The outside has oil spilled around the entrance, so be careful where you walk. Gas is usually higher here too than other stations around. Not the best and customer service?! The gas pumps are running very slow and the Giant gas rewards weren't accurate. There needs to be fix to the card readers for chip cards, it tells you to remove your card quickly even though is a chip card. Then the sale gets messed up and you have to start over. When you start the sale over you lose your original amount of gas rewards and are given a lesser amount. I have noticed this problem in more than one of the pump stations at this Shell station. read more

I am posting this review after two great experiences at this Shell Station. My first visit was for a basic oil change. Upon arriving I explained I was on my lunch break and did not have much time. I was in and out in less than 30minutes. They have a nice, neat waiting area with fresh coffee. My second visit was for my State Inspection. Once again completed during my lunch break. I was in and out within 1hour. I will say the Inspection form was filled out incorrectly, as they put the wrong make, model, and year of my car on the form. However I caught it before going to MVA and they quickly corrected the error and apologized for the mistake. I would definitely recommend this Shell Station to other women, who are skeptical about which auto repair shop to use. read more

I first had my company truck repaired at Montgomery Shell last March. The engine of it was really sluggish; it was time for it to be replaced. The mechanic that I initially showed the truck to, did not even checked the "check engine" light to see what was wrong with it. He just said the engine needed to be replaced and quoted 2200.00$. I took my truck to Montgomery village shell for a second opinion, and the Owner/manager (Hovik) spent more than 1.5 hours checking my truck engine. Based on his findings, he recommended repairing my truck engine, not replacing it, for $1500.00. Repairing my existing engine was a better option for me since the other mechanic (from another shop) was suggesting to replace my engine with a used engine with no guarantee. My truck's emgine is running like new since then. Then, Hovik suggested to have a maintenance plan for my company vehicles. He had already earned my trust, so I went for it. One of my trucks' rear axle broke in September. Thankfully, my technician and nobody else got hurt because of it. However, my truck was a mess. I have full insurance coverage on the truck and was hoping the insurance company will total the truck and pay me for it. To my surprise, they told me it was wear and tear, therefore they would not reimburse me. I contacted Hovik at Montgomery Shell, who emailed me a copy of my maintenance records. I forwarded it to my insurance rep, who let me know in about a week they will be paying me for the accident because of "my truck being well taken care of". Recently brought my Dodge Caliber over for a starting issue expecting to get charged a lot for the repair. Compared to other shops in the vicinity; this shop was very reasonable and above all, honest. I noticed the shop manager there and I asked him a few questions, he was very busy, but he stopped what he was doing and answered my questions and addressed some of my concerns. If I could give 0 stars, I would! Seriously, the worst customer service I have ever received. When I called at 9:30 a.m. to ask about a state inspection, they said it would take 2 hours, and that I could drop it off any time before 5. Dropped it off 5 minutes later and was told it would take 4 hours. (I had to tell the receptionist 3 times my purpose for being there!) After talking to them about the discrepancy in time estimates, they said they would do their best. I said that would be fine and asked them to call me. NO PHONE CALL at all, ALL DAY. Not my home phone, not my cell phone, no email. I had no idea if they had looked at it or not, so I tried to call them 2-3 times, and nobody picked up the phone. Finally went the next morning to pick up my car, and found out that they had indeed done the inspection and it had failed. I cannot believe they didn't call to tell me it failed and/or to ask if I wanted it repaired. I am never ever coming back here. It is worth paying someone else for a re-inspection!
