Inside this gas station, you'll find a better craft beer selection than most bottle shops I've been to. They have beer from almost every local brewery, and a very good selection from breweries outside of Southern California. There is also a Mexican food mini-restaurant inside the gas station. WOW!!!! What a RIP OFF !!!! First off it states on the sign what your gas price is if you get a car wash so I went inside to pay for my gas and a carwash , I was told I had to pay full price for the gas then go get a ticket for the wash and bring that in and she would give me the carwash gas price when I paid for the wash. So I got my gas. I went over and told the guy that I was going to sell my truck so I wanted a wash with tire treatment , a leather treatment and the carpets cleaned . He quoted me 130 bucks and he gave me a 10off coupon so I took my ticket inside and paid 120 when I asked about the gas discount I was told that I had the 10 off coupon so I did NOT get the gas discount. And that the gas discount would of only been 1.50 anyway , to me that was not the point . So I left and came back 3 hours later and the first thing that I saw was the rear bumper didn't even look like it had been touched , the guy ran over and got a towel and started cleaning it , as I looked over the truck, the only thing I can say is that the carpet looked good , there was dirt and dried bugs still all over the truck and the door jams were at best a hit and miss and Armorall was put on top of the dirt . As I complained and pointed out all the dirt and missed areas I was told that I should have told them I wanted the door jams wiped down that they only do what is written on the window and offered to rewash it. I told him I thought I was paying for a normal car wash not a SPIT wash he said Yeah you wanted us to concentrate on the interior so we don't do as good a job on the outside . I don't know about you but every time I have paid for a car wash I have never had to tell them to wipe down the door jams or that I want all the dirt off . Other than the carpets being washed I could of gotten a better job done somewhere else for around 30 bucks with the gas discount.!!!! read more

This is likely the cheapest, most convenient gas station you'll find on this stretch of the I-15. I always stop here to top off when when heading out of San Diego on long road trips (e.g. Las Vegas, Big Bear, Mammoth), and again to fill up when coming home. Don't mistake it for the first Shell station you see when getting off of the freeway. That one is always several cents more expensive. I don't understand how that one stays in business. This Shell always have their windshield wiper "thingies" filled, and the squeegees are in good shape. They fill them with window cleaner instead of just water. I can't vouch for the convenience store or the service (I'm a pay at the pump kind of guy), but that's not why I go to gas stations. I go for gas. read more

Have dealt with this Shell Service Car Wash & gas station since I moved from Wichita, KS and have always had the BEST of service from every way, whether car wash (which they are absolute the BEST), to the fuel, to purchasing anything inside. Service with a smile & they get to know who you are & that brings me back. read more

This review is based solely on their beer selection. Most liquor stores don't have the selection of quality beers this Shell station offers. Choice brewers from San Diego county and Southern California fill the cooler. However, the surprise find was Lord Hobo's Boom Sauce (all the way from Woburn, MA). read more

Here is an absolute rip off! Bought a $60 car wash and wanted a $5 lottery card.....went to pay with my debit card and they wanted an extra dollar for a $5 lottery card.....because it's a debit card was the response, this is price gouging at its best. read more

I go to this station all the time for my car wash and detail. This week I went filled my tank went to car wash asked for Danny. Was informed he,s not there anymore. Told one of the owners Omar that Danny had promised me wash and hand wax for $35.00. omara said no problem and told me Danny bought his own carwash in San Diego, and that Danny is his cousin and best salesman. Went back Wednesday with my other vehicle same thing except this time the guys on. The carwash told me, no way was I getting a wax for $35.00. He told me they Never sell them at that price. I told him I had already made a deal with Danny and Omara. They said, yeah well it's a cultural thing and that's why Danny got fired for selling details like that. I informed them what Omara told me that Danny bought his own business, response.........oh wow..... Long story short went inside but Omara was gone, told Kat what was going on she said just tell them you need a ticket for a wax and I will charge you $35. Went back outside for a ticket, the idiot now writes wax $50.00 circles it and u lines it twice then tells me, it's because of people like me that they had to raise their prices. I watched the guy wipe wax on the car which is dark blue it's an Element. 14 minutes later he calls me over to the car saying it,s ready. I ask him if he was going to wax the top of the vehicle which he says he did. I told him I watched and he never touched the top, than he says do you want it waxed.......dahhhhhhhhhh no I pay for half a wax. I looked at the hood and all you saw was streaks all over it and the plastic parts of the car had never been touched. I had them redo these areas while doing it one guys says to another,.....customer is problema......well if you wouldn't have been so lazy I wouldn't have said anything. This station has lost my business and I also bring a friends vehicles there also, so that's four vehicles a week. I hate LAZY LAZY people. You lost me......... read more

I have taken my vehicles here to get washed quite a few times and have usually been pretty satisfied with the quality of work. Took my truck in to get washed today. The greeter was really friendly and helpful. Got my truck washed and loved the quality. I don't think I've ever seen my truck this clean before. So I felt pretty good up to this point until the man showing me the truck basically told me "you need to tip the two workers because they took care of your truck" ( I thought I was already paying them to take care of my truck). Now these workers really did earn a tip and a half but to tell a customer they need to walk over and tip the employees is in my opinion completely unprofessional and rude. I understand those car wash guys work very hard an do a great job but to put a customer in that awkward position by demanding a tip is wrong. Not everyone has cash on them and after paying that much money for a car wash.(they are very expensive) not everyone can afford to tip. It was a very unexpected thing for me and will make other customers feel very uncomfortable. Which is not good business practice at all. It's disappointing to have to leave a review like this because they do a really good job but this just didn't seem right to me. Plus I feel like they are a little on the overpriced side. read more

I spend about $10,000.00 a year on gas and most of it is purchased in this station until today. The attendant talked me into a $45.00 wash, wax, shine, vacuum and the works. I asked how long it would take and told them I had 30 minutes and then had to be on my way. Oh, he said--no problem and will have it ready for you. That should have been my first hint that it wasn't going to be okay. When my car came out 45 minutes later it still had debris in it, the carpet was still dirty, dirt on the outside, shine was only half done and many spots on the tires missed and they didn't even bother to put the air freshener I requested. I asked the attendant for a refund and he said wasn't able to do anything so I went inside and they passed me off to another fellow. He looked at it and still wouldn't consider a refund. All he wanted to know was if the wax was okay. It is a brand new truck so the paint shines pristine. I asked him if my money went into his bank account as promised and of course he avoided answering. He would not consider a refund, I did not have time to stay any longer (of course they want you to come back and they will give you a discount on the next wash he said) He walked away and I left. Little does he know that he walked away from a $10K account for his tiny greed of $42.50. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A SMART BUSINESS MAN. DON'T WAST YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO BE TREATED RUDELY INSIDE, TREATED LIKE YOU ARE DOING THEM A FAVOR AND NOT A VALUED CLIENT. THEY HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 100 OTHER GAS STATIONS AROUND WHO WILL KINDLY APPRECIATE YOUR PATRONAGE. read more
