Do not get a car wash here! I've been getting them here for years and today was the last straw. I've been watching the machinery fall apart for all that time with little in the way of repair, mostly the drier. Today the washer failed to deliver any soap at all, just plain water. I went in to ask for a refund or a credit for a future wash and the cashier hands me a full page form to fill out. I don't think so. They could have either printed me a wash code for later, or get to read their reviews and get a rejected charge as well as a lost customer. The later is what they picked, and if the think I'm going to spend a bunch of time on a form because they can't keep soap in their machine they're sniffing the fumes of their product. This is the Shell off the Northbound ramp. It's next door to Chevron and right across the street from the Westfield North County Mall. The station is dated compared to the recently upgraded Chevron next door. To be honest, the new digital touch displays are cool next door but I'd rather get the best price. The price is not always in sync with Chevron, a few times there have been wild prices differences in favor of Shell. You have to price check. Tip - Check out the secret back entrance off Sunset. This is the preferential approach when heading down Bear Valley because you can go up the shell back road and see if Shell or Chevron next door has the better price. read more

This Shell gas station provides easy access on and off the freeway from the Southbound ramp, after all isn't this one of the most important things for a gas station, one with easy access? The gas prices near the freeway are not always the best, but this location is never the worst. I am giving it four stars, as I have NEVER seen a broken pump at this station and the receipt machine has always delivered a paper receipt when it should (should you need a paper receipt these days). Working equipment is a solid expectation, there are many gas stations to choose from, when the pumps stop working! I have been inside a couple times, once to pick up a snack and another to purchase a lottery ticket for a group of people on the big day, my only recommendation is do not purchase your lottery ticket here. He told me to "go somewhere else" after I requested a certain amount to fill up however maybe I may have been rude towards him. It's not hard to see as you come off the freeway heading north, it'll be on the right. It's a very clean gas station with a public restroom. The car wash works well, it even scrubs the wheels. The people working there are very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and always willing to help you find your way. The beer there is extremely cold and fairly priced along with energy drinks that are usually on some kind of 2fer sale. It's a good place to stop and get ice if your heading up the mountains, or a nice cigar and a sixer if your gonna hit some golf balls next door. read more

I usually get gas here whenever I need to get gas because it's close to the freeway, right off the via rancho parkway exit. I usually get gas here or at the chevron next to it depending on which has station is cheaper. Today it was the same so I went to shell. The location is really good. Since there are other gas stations in the area it's never really busy or full. I like how they have the windshield wiper and towels to clean my car. This gas station is conveniently located off the freeway when you exit via rancho parkway from the 15 freeway. It is across north county fair and next to chevron. I believe Shell has more gas pumps compared to chevron. Shell and Chevron typically have the same prices but I've found that Shell will usually be 2 cents cheaper and Chevron will eventually have the same price. I don't stop inside their convenient store bc I typically pay with my credit card. Gas stations in Escondido are super expensive, even the cheap janky gas stations. This Shell is usually cheaper and it's good quality. This is my go to gas station along with the Shell gas station close by going towards 15 south on ramp. read more

Gas tax increase of 12 cents/gallon goes into effect tomorrow Nov 1st but the owner of this station decided to increase his prices, at the pump, by 15 cent/gallon already today yet still kept the old lower price at the sign. This is conveniently located right off of the 15 freeway. The prices are fair and their car wash is awesome! You can drive right in pay at the little machine-you dont have to get out of your car which is the whole point of the convenience of a drive thru car wash. Bought a $9 car wash but in the time it took to pump my gas, I stupidly forgot about it and neglected to get my receipt because it was taking forever- computer was super slow. I pulled out and made an illegal u-turn at the light to get back quickly. Sebastian was behind the counter and attempted to look up my receipt but someone had just filled up there after me and he told me I was out of luck. What!! After trying to calmly discuss and getting nowhere, I told him I had all day and wasn't going anywhere until I got my car wash. By the time he figured it out there was a large line and he was lecturing me, saying if I knew how hard this was I wouldn't ask him to do it. I visited this location on 08/06/2016 approximately 1:00 pm. I was running late for a client meeting and I wanted to wash my White 370, first impression are important to me. The vehicle wasn't really dirty but paid for their $10 wash. I sat threw the entire process and the entire front clip was untouched. I politely walked inside spoke with a bearded attendant, olive colored skin and explained the situation and requested to go threw a second time. This individual refused, and told me "I need to prewash the car before coming to wash the car" . I asked him if he was serious, "yep, and he laughed" I posted on Facebook "Escondido Friends" and found that this a regular thing for this individual. A mom with two kids in a caravan paid, the service failed and then he refused to provide her with a garden hose to wash the soap from the windows. *** Really?!?!?!
