So we were at Cambria mimosas and we asked Luis our server where we could get some last minute souvenirs. He told us to go to the Shell gas station. I was very hesitant at first because the gas price there was $5.80 a gallon. Yikes! However, the price of souvenirs inside is economical. It's not your typical gas station. They have everything and anything. I actually found some cute shot glasses for $2.99 and a magnet for $1.99. They also had hoodies, t-shirts, magnets, and even more. Thanks Shell gas station. You didn't disappoint!

Indeed the 'cleanest restrooms'! We were coming from Hearst Castle in San Simeon to Paso Robles and Cambria was the nearest gas station in between. It's a gift shop, gas station, car wash and everything in one. This off the main street so gas is more. You can drive further into town to save a few cents but I bet the restroom won't be as clean.

They have every kind of snack under the sun. If you don't find a snack you like then you don't like snacks. They have bathrooms cleaner than your mothers. The crew working there are the best. Thanks Shell gas station for the fond memories.

    Car wash too.. clean restrooms

This shell in Cambria is one of the final gas stops for those going up highway one. Yep the gas is a bit more expensive, however I am thankful that they are here in the Village of Cambria. The Shop / Mini Mart is filled with tourist goodies and all the regular snacks and drinks, so stock up! And the best part - clean restrooms. Be sure to top off before heading north.

Friendly and well stocked. Lots of souvenirs and gifts for tourists. Pricey but that's true anywhere in Cambria.

Very great service! Got gas, carwash and a nice young lady filled both of my propane tanks. Great souvenirs, snacks and stuff.

Ironically, since I have a hybrid, I could have made it to the much cheaper Shell right at the beginning of A-town on the 41. The other economic Shell is right on Hwy #1 & Foothill in SLO....which is my go to gas place in the entire area. Anyway, it cost me $58 for a full tank of mid-tier gas for my Toyota Camry Hybrid....so I think I overpaid about $8. Since my wife needed to use the restroom and I needed to clean the windows, it was not a total loss. At least the window cleaning solution was nice & soapy and clean. It worked great to cut thru a bunch of dirt & bird yuck. As someone else commented, it does seem that the pumps do go slow, but that leaves you ample time to wash the windows. Of course, they likely jack up the price for nervous nellies like me, who are bound for Atascadero on the rather isolated 41. As the sun set, the landscape was quite lovely. In the past we never made it much past the wonderful Avocado Farm stand that is just up the road about a mile or two. They have amazingly good Avocados for reasonable prices that usually beats what is offered at most local Farmers Markets. Just before the gas station we checked out the Morro Bay Farmers Market which had no Avocados, nor much in the way of Veges.. In any case, after getting gas here, we had a lovely trip on the 41 and them did some bargain hunting in A-town, and then went down the 101 to eat at Ox & Anchor, in SLO-town, to celebrate the new Chinese Lunar Year!
