He was walking out the front door so he did not see me. They have shelves if you've been inside you know where the candy is stacked up I'm pretty petite so I'm pretty sure that he could not see me. I was on the phone for five minutes that called disconnected and that person had time to call me back and by the time that Shaun decided to waddle back into the store coughing at me, I told him I've been waiting, and that I even went out and looked because I thought he might be in the restroom and he coughed at me and said I had only been waiting for five minutes. Which whatever I were customer service as well I get that we have our bad day sometimes. I wanted to get rid of some change so I had a dollar in quarters and I asked if I could pay with the dollar and change and put the rest on my card. He acted like this was the most inconvenient thing in the world for him, even though I had already separated all the money for him so I said never mind. I will just put it on the card. He took the card from me and ran it himself which I thought was an invasion of my personal space. I was just appalled at the rudeness not even not one. I'm sorry whether it had been two minutes five minutes 10 minutes 30 minutes. It doesn't matter. I feel in customer service. You should always apologize within reason. And he acknowledge that I had been waiting for at least five minutes. I doubt that this review will even get read by the owner or that they care but also when I asked her the receipt, he scarfed at me and laughed. I don't understand what was so funny about that. I don't know if he thought I was trying to make a life harder for him or something, which I wasn't. I just like to keep copies of my financials. Since retiring in October 2025, Monday has becoming my "Costco Day." With the price of gas…read moreridiculous, I've started filling up my Dodge RAM at Costco. The gas service area is quite massive and very clean. I have yet to see it crowded, but there are green/red lights to signify the status of the pumps. Lots of room to navigate, even large vehicles to get to a pump. It's one way in and one way out. Hard to talk price, their gas price is on average a few cents cheaper than what I can find in Paso Robles. Doesn't really make it worth my while to drive 30 miles to save a few cents, so I couple this stop with my Monday shopping. If you are a member of Costco, I would recommend the pumps in SLO. It's freeway accessible and affordable when you start looking at other gas stations off LOVR.

I am personally awful at carwashes unless I was the car myself (garden hose technique). So, on a recent afternoon, we took a tour through the small carwash at the Madonna Road Shell Station. I was waiting for him to pay, admiring the trees planted around the car wash, and how clean the station was, and watching people pump gas. I found myself actually looking forward to the car wash. Sure enough, after giving our code, we proceeded through a modest but effective wash. I liked that there were no rails to ride on, no attendant, and the car sat still in the wash instead of the hurkey jerky automated version. There was plenty of water, and soap, and spinners, and more water and wax, and more water, then a good blow dry on the way out! And all for a budget friendly $10.00!

Trust me, I've tried, and EVERY time I'm in a convenience store I'm always on the prowl for a Suzy, but rarely find one. Tonight we popped in for a couple of hot chocolates and, lo and behold, what did I see?? Oh, baby! I'm no fool, so I bought the whole box (too bad there were only three in there) to tide me over and enjoy over the next couple of weeks 'cause I know it'll be a long, dry season before I find them again. Speaking of hot chocolate, we'd given up on the hot cocoa at In 'n Out (which used to be great, but for the last eight times in a row(!!) tasted like barely-flavored hot water, yuck). The kids turned us onto the hot chocolate here at Am/Pm, which has a nice variety to choose from or to mix-and-match: basic hot chocolate with Hershey's syrup; hot chocolate with English toffee; and Mexican hot chocolate. (I like an 80/20 ratio of the basic and Mexican, and my hubby likes his just the reverse of that.) A nice option when you want a little something late at night but don't necessarily want to (or know you shouldn't) eat. But... of course tonight I'll just have to make an exception, 'cause I hear little Suzy calling my name now. Oh, yeah.... Everything looks fine but no gas and the register on the pump never resets. I'm using a debit card and accepted the fee. I look at everything then I realize that one of the safety tapes on the touch pad is missing. Looks like it's been tampered with. I go inside to to inform the attendant but no one is there. I search and hear a voice from the back. "Can o help you?" I tell him that one of his pumps isn't working l. He tries to cut me off and states "they all work, they all work". Then he ask which pump and I left him #4. He cuts me off again while typing on his register and waves for me to leave and says "try it again, try it again!" I say whatever and leave. I can hear him yelling "they all work, they all work!" And I yell back "except for #4!" I leave and go across the street to get gas. I also cancelled and ordered a new debit card. DONT TAKE ANY CHANCES HERE!!! Don't go to ARCO!!!!
