Chuck Doesn't Care Towing" is more accurate than their real name. A young driver had just been in a car accident and was visibly upset. The tow truck driver abandoned his car in a random business parking lot because he "couldn't find the auto body shop." Instead of showing any patience or care, he rushed the car off the flatbed, hitting a curb and a bush, and began to drive off before the owner arrived. This was witnessed by multiple people. The owner showed up just before the tow truck driver left the parking lot, the owner was honking and following behind, but the driver ignored him completely. Multiple witnesses called the driver because he wouldn't answer the owners calls. The witnesses asked the driver to correct the situation, the driver refused to return, yelled at and the hung up on callers. What I and many others witnessed tonight was not just unprofessional, it was heartless and unsafe, leaving a young, distressed driver stranded in a parking lot in the dark. Avoid this company if you expect even basic care or responsibility. California Bureau of Automotive repair is next on the list to notify. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Our EV car stopped working and we required a tow. Joe came to help us first. He was very knowledgeable about working with hybrid cars. He asked if we wanted to ride to the dealership in San Luis Obispo with our car and since we did, he contacted the flat bed driver to help us. Daryn came with his flat bed and explained everything he was doing to get our car on the flat bed. We had an exciting ride in his rig and made it to the dealership in record time. Our truck was towed there and we had tools missing and a amo the police even had a picture of those items before it was towed and the police went there to question them and they said there cameras don't work. Yes, they do pump up tires Foria! Yes, they do take tips. And the service was extremely fabulous. Therefore, totally worth a tip. Forget those gas stations in town. They all suck! Don't stick your coins in any of those air tire pump or upper machines cause they don't work. Stop messing around and come here and fix your tires up right. Looks like a really well duck run shop. I'm traveling through as a tourist and I planning on bookmarking this in my yelp and putting it under a good repair shops, so that when I come through again, I know what to do. Time for me to see these shiesters and Officer in court. California law says they have to hold a vehicle for 30 days before they can sell it if the impound and storage fees are not paid. I tried to get my son to be responsible and raise the money himself to get his truck back. It took him 12 days to get the money and he went and paid these thieves 1200 dollars to get his truck. After paying them they informed him that they already sold his truck to Timos after 9 days so we went to Timos to get the truck only to find out the truck had been stripped of the brand new tires and custom rims and tore the dash out to get the stereo and speaker system read more

Advised price up front (half hour minimum, $90) At a Morro Bay rental house, I backed onto what looked like a solid grass area that turned out to be soft sand and the car was immobilized. Checked Yelp and found Chuck's had great ratings, so called them. They were busy and it took them about a half hour longer than planned to arrive, which wasn't a problem as we had coffee and weren't in a hurry. They have been parked at my neighbors house for 30 minutes, doors open and engine on... no one to be seen... he came back out and sat in truck even longer with the engine on...there is no need to sit idle and pump exhaust into the world, shut your truck off when you're not driving it, cmon. These guys are lifesavers! My husband and I were on our way home to Los Angeles from a hiking trip at Point Lobos and while we were on the freeway and our steering stopped working properly. We saw an AutoZone in Morro Bay and pulled out there only to pop the hood and find out our power steering belt had cracked and come off completely. So dangerous! We bought the belt and couldn't get it on. Chris just happened to be in the parking lot and came over to see what was going on, then Jesse came over to help him. They figured out another part needed replacing too, and then Chris and Jesse just jacked up the car and replaced the parts for us! I couldn't believe it. Their arms were covered in grease and oil; Chris even reopened a previous cut he had and started bleeding, but they didn't stop until our parts were replaced and they made sure our car was safe enough to get us to LA. I can't stress enough how much of a life saver these guys were for us. It was late, all the repair shops were closed and if they hadn't happened upon us we would've been forced to spend money for a motel to stay the night, plus pay for parts AND labor to get the car working the next day. Not to mention we had a tenant coming that we had to let in at 4 in the morning and we would've had to tell her that we wouldn't be there. I would highly recommend Chuck's towing, and if we are ever in the area again and need help, they will be the first one's we call! read more

After a while I called the dispatch, he was also rude to me and told me that they had canceled my AAA call but that I could pay them for a tow. Fantastic service! I needed a new battery since my car would not start, and after calling AAA, they sent out Chuck's Towing. They had told me to expect a 1-2 hour wait, but within 20 minutes James came out, quickly assessed the problem with my car, and gave me two other options besides allowing them to get me a new battery and installing it. He had to drive back to the shop and get a new battery, but within 15 minutes he was back and like magic my car was up and running again. Very professional and very fast service.
