However, the attendant had the dirtiest look on his face and was not welcoming. The station was strangely quiet and the he was staring at all the customers with a mean look. The "tourist" merchandise was very Walmart good ol' boy meets Duck Dynasty, it didn't seem to match the environment or vibes of Morro Bay. It was overpriced, kinda cheap, and frankly not worth a purchase. Gas was decent (for Morro Bay) and the restroom was exceptionally clean. We only bought gas and a drink so we didn't request special services.

Ironically, since I have a hybrid, I could have made it to the much cheaper Shell right at the beginning of A-town on the 41. The other economic Shell is right on Hwy #1 & Foothill in SLO....which is my go to gas place in the entire area. Anyway, it cost me $58 for a full tank of mid-tier gas for my Toyota Camry Hybrid....so I think I overpaid about $8. Since my wife needed to use the restroom and I needed to clean the windows, it was not a total loss. At least the window cleaning solution was nice & soapy and clean. It worked great to cut thru a bunch of dirt & bird yuck. As someone else commented, it does seem that the pumps do go slow, but that leaves you ample time to wash the windows. Of course, they likely jack up the price for nervous nellies like me, who are bound for Atascadero on the rather isolated 41. As the sun set, the landscape was quite lovely. In the past we never made it much past the wonderful Avocado Farm stand that is just up the road about a mile or two. They have amazingly good Avocados for reasonable prices that usually beats what is offered at most local Farmers Markets. Just before the gas station we checked out the Morro Bay Farmers Market which had no Avocados, nor much in the way of Veges.. In any case, after getting gas here, we had a lovely trip on the 41 and them did some bargain hunting in A-town, and then went down the 101 to eat at Ox & Anchor, in SLO-town, to celebrate the new Chinese Lunar Year!

He wasn't as convinced. I then met with Victoria, she couldn't be nicer. She insisted I leave my dog while I grabbed a bite around the block. Anyway, to get to the point; I walked back and my truck was neatly parked out front of the shop. Walked inside, Victoria said "It's all done". I was very pleased and it passed with no repairs needed and has over 222,000 miles on the engine. FYI: Just because a vehicle is older, doesn't mean it's history. The tow truck driver abandoned his car in a random business parking lot because he "couldn't find the auto body shop." Instead of showing any patience or care, he rushed the car off the flatbed, hitting a curb and a bush, and began to drive off before the owner arrived. This was witnessed by multiple people. The owner showed up just before the tow truck driver left the parking lot, the owner was honking and following behind, but the driver ignored him completely. Multiple witnesses called the driver because he wouldn't answer the owners calls. The witnesses asked the driver to correct the situation, the driver refused to return, yelled at and the hung up on callers. What I and many others witnessed tonight was not just unprofessional, it was heartless and unsafe, leaving a young, distressed driver stranded in a parking lot in the dark. Avoid this company if you expect even basic care or responsibility. California Bureau of Automotive repair is next on the list to notify. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Such a scammy slimey POS tow truck driver.

I'm a female driving a brand new car. I have low air pressure on one of the tired and I'm not…read moreexactly confident about putting air in. But I power up and see that it won't accept credit cards. So I dig up 5 quarters, Which it says it needs. And then nothing happens. I go inside and the guy behind the counter tells me about some button I need to push. I press the button and water comes pouring out and the air seems to work. I put it in the tire and I could feel air coming out everywhere so I'm pretty the tire is not getting air: Tye air pressure is getting lower. I'm pretty sure it's my fault. A man comes to help me and does the same and says it's not you, the seal is damaged and the air is not going in the tire. So I go inside to tell them and ask for my 5 quarters back. They say they can't give it to me which is fine. There's a lady in a mask that seems to have more authority And she tells me it doesn't always work on the new cars. Plus there's no way it's 5 quarters because it's at least $2.50 (clearly not true) And then she says to me, it's just 5 quarters. And I say you should put a sign up so people know not to throw quarters in when it's broken. For me it's not the money (but quarters are hard to come by.) They never did put a sign up. The guy behind the counter obviously had no authority and so he was fine. But the lady was really rude. I went across the street to the Chevron station and everything worked perfectly and it was only a dollar (glad I still had quarters). I really don't like the way I was treated. Thank you to the man who came and helped me and let me know it was broken. I probably need to take an auto shop class. Never going back.
