Very clean. Henry is phenomenal. My pedicure always lasts. Easy to get appointments in advance.

Nail tech used nippers on her nails and then on me. Totally unsanitary. The nail tools are not sterilized. They are put back in the same bag and stuck back in the container they were retrieved from. Not sanitized. Towels were stained. read more

I live minutes away from Sheldon Nails for the past several years. I would love nothing more than to be able to run up there for a mani/pedi. For the first couple years I went there, it was OK but I loved the convenience. Every time I've gone, my manicure shellac has bubbles, my pedicure nails are crooked. It's always my last resort when I'm in a hurry and desperate. And Sheldon Nails never disappoints in giving the worst mani/pedi ever read more

Went to have nails removed, charged 15 dollars to pop off all my nails rather than soak them off. Caused my nails to bleed and overcharged for horrible service. read more

It started out okay - I walked in and was greeted right away and seated in a pedicure chair. There were four other people getting pedicures and a few getting manicures so I had to wait maybe 15 minutes... Not too bad. The massage chairs are nice, there's an Xfinity hotspot, a TV, and stacks of magazines, so plenty of entertainment options while you wait... I definitely thought I was getting a massage-less pedicure and was composing a very negative review in my head, but it turns out they just do it after they paint your toes, which is weird but fine, so I have no real complaints! It was even a really great massage - when she brought out the hot stones I was pretty psyched...I'll be back! read more

THE WORST NAIL SALON. I have never had a good experience here..I gave this place 5 tries over the years because I live walking distance away. Awful. Very rude upon entering every time, the quality of the services are poor, and the prices are never consistent. The polish job I receive here I could personally do better with my left hand (you guessed it, I'm right handed). I will not give this salon business again. read more

Paid for a FULL SET shellac , was told price was 40$, later on ended up paying $45 because the person who greeted me 'gave me the wrong price' -No prices listed anywhere, so it's obvious that they make their prices as they go & also tend to overprice their services; Which would be okay if the value of their services were satisfactory; the man who did my nails rushed through He left on the grown out leftover acrylic nails from MY last set , there were only 3-4 of them left in total. He then cut them down to a length I did not want; he filled right over them & attempted to reshape them back to coffin. He disregarded anything I said the whole time he was rushing so carelessly through my set that he even cut my pinky finger up Long story short , don't go here; it's just not worth it. read more

I went in for a pedicure with my three grown children. They tell us it will be 10 minutes. Then they seat us and have us put our feet in the water. After sitting there for 30+ minutes, I dried my feet off with the towel so that I could leave. Then they said they would take me next. But there were other people that were ahead of me and I didn't want to cut in front of them. My kids stayed. Then, the owner did my daughters shellac manicure. She asked him for three coats of polish and he refused. When she pressed him on it, he did finally put on three coats. When she accidentally bumped one nail, he got very mad at her. The customer service here is terrible! I Do not recommend this salon for any services. read more

This place SUCKS. I asked for dip power with an extended tip. The guy picks the wrong color and starts putting it on my nails. I tell him that it looks too dark, and another guy comes in and finds the actual color that I wanted. He said that they can only put a gel coat of the color I liked ON TOP OF THE DIP POWDER. My nails are uneven, as you can see they are not all the same length, they are splotchy, have indents/lines. Just absolutely terrible. And for $60. Do not come here. read more

My nails have never looked better!!!! Louisiana Texas Georgia Michigan....Plenty nail salons over the years but no one compares to Kathy!!!

Been going here for years and it's usually good. But there is one technician that I get every so often and he is terrible. Just not good, goes too fast and the worst part is that he DOESN'T WEAR GLOVES! Why doesn't the owner notice how disgusting this is and make some rules. Please read this review and take action if you own this business. read more

Terrible experience!! I usually go to Northville Nail Boutique but was in the area so decided to give this place a try. As other reviewers have noted, pedicure chairs REALLY need to be replaced. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Gel manicure started chipping the next day. It's been only 5 days and I have three entire nails where the polish just peeled completely off in one piece and two other nails with chips. Pedicure has one chip so far. I was also there two hours and I didn't have to wait at all. I've never had a mani/pedi take that long before, and for how incredibly long it took, I assumed they did a good job. I was wrong! Do not waste your money here. Go downtown to Northville Nail Boutique where they always do a good job! Also FYI, a pedi/gel mani will cost you $65 plus tip, will take two hours, and will apparently start chipping the very next day. Update: DO NOT let this place use the electric file to take off gel nail polish!! It's been a few months since I went for the original mani/pedi, and my toenails are all extremely thin from allowing them to use the electric file instead of soaking the gel off my toes. You can see where my regular nails are growing back and where the much thinner part is up top. It's going to take MONTHS for my nails to look normal again. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! read more

First time getting a full Pink/White French set in years. This is the best I ever have had. Danny did the set and he was quick and precise with his work - it is a very clean environment and he's a good conversationalist too. Today is 3 full weeks since getting them done and they still look fantastic, even though I have traveled and packed for a move during this period. My nails have grown a considerable amount during the time so I do need to go in for fills. The most amazing thing is I have ZERO lifts with the nails growing out and that has NEVER happened before. I believe it is because of the amazing job Danny did in putting them on. Scheduling fills this week and looking forward to my return. I also had a shellac pedicure which I don't normally do. I have to say the polish job wasn't the best and normally comes out better when I do it myself. However, after 3 weeks all of the polish is still intact and still looks fine. Just wish the girl who did the pedicure would have done more work on my toe cuticles to get better results. I'll mention when I go back in and will give a pedicure another try when these grow out some more. read more

Nails and feet are worse after having a mani/pedi here due to improper nail filing/buffing with object for acrylics on natural nails, dropping the foot pumice on the dirty floor and then sticking it in the basin my feet were in. Unsafe and non-hygienic practices which I am assuming are not in line with the SOM and LARA. Since she doesn't understand English, I'm assuming she is not licensed with @LARA or @The State of Michigan. I paid for the "premiere" and am literally paying for damaged nail beds for the last 3 weeks. read more

I was in the area and looked for a eyebrow waxing and manicure place on a spur of the moment. This place came up on my yelp search. I called asking if they do walk-ins and they were fine. When I got there, there was just one other customer, but with a couple of men just sitting around there (guessing family of the place operators) in addition to the nail techs. It felt a bit awkward at first, but one of the ladies greeted me and asked me what I wanted. I picked out my nail colors and the technician got to work immediately. There wasn't much speaking as her English clearly wasn't the best but she got the point across. It all works well though, ad she did a beautiful job on m nails and eyebrows. I had shellac nails on so the polish had to be removed first. She did a great job with trimming, filing, cuticles and the polish too. While my nails were drying she did my eyebrows in the salon room in the back. Overall, my bill came to $31, a pretty good price for the quality work. The only down side is what felt like a slightly awkward atmosphere being one of the only customers there. I would come here again if I'm in the area. read more

Something you need to know about me is that I inherited my Dad's eyebrows and without waxing at least every two weeks I would look like a relative of Chewbacca. That being said I am VERY picky about where I get my eyebrows done. I have been going every 2 weeks since puberty so I know my stuff when it comes to brow waxing. I love this place! I recently moved to the Northville area and was having trouble finding a convieniant quality place to get this done and I finally found what I was looking for in Sheldon Nails - I never have to wait more than 5 minutes even though I just walk in, they do a quick and good job with it, the wax has never burned me, they do it in a small private room and best of all..... it is 10 dollars! That is the best price around for a brow wax. In terms of nail care ... I have not had a manicure here yet but am a huge fan of their pedicures. I often find pedicures are lacking in some way or other - either the massage is great but the nail care isn't as good or vice versa - but here it is the best of both worlds. It is clean, the foot tubs are nice, they have great massage chairs compared to other places, and with the standard pedicure they do a HOT STONE massage. That's all I need to know. I like this place, it is by no means some fancy pants spa but it is one of my personal favorite little nail places around if you live in the Northville/Plymouth area! read more

My mom and I have been going to this salon every other a week for several years. They are the best. They take such great care of us! The salon was revamped during covid and it looks great! They use sterilized tools, pedicure tub covers and keep the place clean. The owners and technicians are kind and friendly. The pedicure chairs are super comfortable. The regular pedicure comes with a hot stone massage. They have a huge selection of matching regular and shellac OPI polishes. Pricing is good for the quality of service they provide. I always leave with perfect nails! read more

1st time not bad, it was hygienic and polish lasted long. Even though place was full the shop was dingy with beat up chairs. It really did not reflect this neighborhood. 2nd time the place was empty and no one spoke English. The translator was annoyed when he had to convey to pedicurist to trim my nails shorter. He also told the guy I wanted a nail polish change which was not the case. Pedicurist barely let me soak my feet, hurt my big toe and did an avg job with the foot massage. This will be my last visit. This place is only surviving because of all the residential homes around it where busy moms are looking for a convenient place to get their nails done. This mom is done with less than avg places and will be on the hunt for something a little classier that may be further away. Any entrepreneur looking to start a salon should seriously look in this area...lots of customers putting up with less than average service and I am sure they wouldn't mind paying a little more. read more

My experience was a bit puzzling. Cindy was giving me a shellac color change while another customer was waiting for a pedicure. Right in the middle of my service she turned me over to an older gentleman who came in from the outside and she serviced the pedicure. He rushed me through the shellac process with shortened time under the light. He was quietly rude. After 2 days the nail color began to peel off. I could not go back for correction because by that time I was out of the country. When I did go back I voiced my concerns and received and no explanation or apology. Puzzling. read more

Okay, so they are amazing there! It is by no means an extra fancy spa, but, they get the job done with quality! My mom has been going there for about 6 years now. She takes me along with her some of the times. They just recently (about half a year ago) updated their pedicure/massage chairs which used to get a lot of complaints because they were worn and old. The new ones are really nice. The foot tubs have color and if you kindly ask, they will increase or decrease the temperature. They have tons of those bags that have new nail tools for each person. For their pedicures. they add hot stones and the towels (some of the time i didn't get either, but if you request it they will do it!). Also, they have a bunch of different lux options. There are 2 rows of massage chairs, 4 or 5 on each side, facing each other. And there are 2 tvs in the pedicure area. Now, with COVID, they have the hanging protective shield, require you to wear masks, check your temp and give you hand sanitizer right when you walk in! During quarantine, one of the employees (his name is David, I think?), redecorated the whole area, and all the paintings were made by him! Give him props for that! I just recently got my acrylics there, for the first time! I showed them the design/color/etc. I wanted and they pretty much got it 100% right! The only thing that I would say is off, is the color, either they didn't have it, or something, but you can tell there is a difference. I'm not really complaining though, multiple people have complimented it! If you want to bring your kid for a mani/pedi, don't worry, they are a lot more gentle and don't use all the same tools as they use for adults. Also, bring guys over!! My brother has come twice and he loves it, he gets a pedicure (no polish lol) and he has so much fun! Guys need foot/hand care too, you know! Oh, and especially athletes, a pedicure is nice every month, it helps, trust me! All in all, they are super sweet, have great service, and pretty good quality work! If you have any questions, I should be able to answer them! read more

I just had a work event I hosted with some Real Estate agents and I called ahead and requested to reserve the pedicure area and they were more than accommodating. They let us bring in some food and drinks and were eager to host us. I have been here on numerous occasions and I have to say the hot stones they rub on your legs during a pedicure is a really really nice touch. The owner and workers are just wonderful and I would definitely recommend. Super clean and nicely decorated too! read more

I frequent this salon because it's close by and they are really good overall with service, quality, and cleanliness. I normally get a mani/pedi sometimes shellac. Their color selection is great with OPI & Essie being their primary brands. I have gotten majority of their nail techs and I find that the guys do the best job. Bonus for the pedi is the hot stone massage that some other yelp-ers mentioned. Some of the girls do more nail art (like flowers or crystals) but I don't normally get those extras. I've also gotten my brows waxed here and they are very clean and professional. No one is really a talker, not much English which is fine because I don't like to chat either. Great salon for the price. My cousin from out of town has also gone with me and she is amazed at the prices and service compared to where she is from down South. read more

Never walking in this place again. SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME. I requested pink and white and the guy in the front tried to explain the difference in prices and I kept telling him I wanted the pink and white. He treated me like I couldn't afford it. I was in sweats, mind you. Then pawns me off to a guy behind him that has no idea what he's doing. I find myself sitting there for 3 hours with the men going back and forth trying to fix it-while he's admitting it's messed up. Later, as they're coming out, you can tell the mess up has affected the whole look. Then he proceeds to tell me, next time you come in, I will give you a discount. I told him I was never coming again. I felt like I was being discriminated against. While I looked like I was not up to par on their standards, I will have it be known that while I pursue my law degree...I have authority to tie this place up with so much litigation regarding unsanitary practices. read more
