Sheetz Manager Response Recently l posted about purchasing some "Salted Cashews" which has been hard for me to find. The cashews were NOT salted. I received a response from the manager, with a number listed for me to call to discuss my purchase... I have not responded because, WHAT is there to discuss?? And talking with me won't change anything. What she should have done was 'sample one of the bags'...if NOT salty, then she got a bogus order...if it WAS salty, then MAYBE I just got a bad one. I came in here tonight for gas because as I was driving by I noticed that they had the lowest price for gas in this area. It seemed like that had a pretty cool restaurant inside, so I went in to take a look. I saw that their potato chips were slightly overpriced compared with the common convenience store that is located right next door. They do have a great deal in Red Bull, which is not always easy to find. I decided to purchase that, and the line to pay took forever. Lordy lordy, how I love Sheetz. Every time I see one (and those occasions are few and far between since the closest ones to me are still pretty far) I'm immediately transported back to my JMU days, where my roommates and I would make late-night Sheetz runs and indulge ourselves in hot dogs and mac 'n' cheese and jumbo-sized coffees and those milkshakes that you get to make yourself with the little machine... Ahhh, memories. Anyway, so when I was heading out to Ikea and realized there was a Sheetz a mere few miles from Potomac Mills, I immediately knew where I was headed. They've added a crapton of new items to their MTO menu, including ridiculously-amazing sounding things like Fried Mac 'n' Cheese Bites, which I kind of regret not trying. It's not exactly gourmet cuisine, but considering the fact that when you really think about it, Sheetz is a GAS STATION, it really tops the charts. Now, if only they could find an acre's worth of land to build one on somewhere inside the beltway. :) read more

Honestly, this place irritates the sh!t out of me. My boyfriend loves their food to-go menu, so we tend to suck it up and wait for our food(10-20 minutes - nothing convenient about it). The workers tend to be grumpy also, but who can blame them when Sheetz is such a busy place and usually they are overworked due to a staffing shortage/scheduling shortage. I don't have much to say nice about service, actually anything at all. The only compliment I can give this place is continuing to provide competitive gasoline prices. Oh, and when making a personalized drink/coffee - they have the option of soy milk(Wawa doesn't). Pretty much, the food is good; the wait is absolutely terrible. This has to be the worst managed Sheetz ever. The biggest problem is the MTO food. During my last trip, I orderd two pretzels. After 25 minutes, the cook informed me they were out of one type. When I said I wanted my money back, she just walked away. When I confronted her again about it, she dismissively told me to get it from the register. Unfortunately, since they only had one person running the register, there was a line ten customers deep. Another time, I waited 20 minutes for a drink because the cooks were arguing over who would make it, all the while seeing people who ordered after me served first. Long waits are the rule for this Sheetz, not the exception. The store is also often messy and unstocked, and on many occasions they are out of thing like large cups at the fountain drink area. The gas pumps even have problems with stations being broken a lot of times. Basically, this Sheetz always seems understaffed. Again, these are all managment issues. Avoid James Lindsey! I came into this store location to purchase tobacco as I normally do with my U.S Government issued photo ID, specifically my passport card which allows you to enter International Land such as Canada, Mexico, & the Caribbean independently. However, the manager James Lindsey refused to sell me tobacco because according to him the policy recently changed this week where the passport card must also be presented along with the passport book to purchase tobacco. So I went home to grab a second form of ID and when I get back another employee was puzzled as to why he couldn't type in my birthday when I initially went in with Government ID. This is a location I visit all the time as a frequent customer and I've never had this issue. As someone with dual citizenship I've even used my foreign government issued photo ID with no problem. If this is a policy that was recently updated in the past week and is now being enforced across the country then I can understand but if this is a local store policy implemented simply when the manager doesn't want to do his job or is incompetent then this is really a problem. It's frustrating, embarrassing, and time consuming being turned down as if I had no ID whatsoever and refuse to assist me further or take my business. Furthermore, if the borders of other countries do not turn me down with my passport card alone then why am I being turned down two blocks from where I live? James Lindsey couldn't even offer me an apology for turning me down with a U.S Government issued photo ID. He has an obligation to be aware of the proper company wide policy so that everyone on his team remains consistent and enforce these policies to avoid this issue from reoccurring and not wasting my time again in the future nor anyone else's! I have escalated this matter and will update. It seems Mr. James Lindsey doesn't own a Passport Book or Passport Card himself to understand even TSA accepts either as official government photo ID. The team has such friendly staff but they have Managment who is inconsistent and unaware of acceptable forms of ID. Just a lack of knowledge led to this terrible customer service experience and loss of valuable time to address this matter. Avoid James at all costs, will save you the headache! read more

I went to sheetz. parked at the gas pump, went inside, purchased 2 items, went back to my car. bled my coolant system (electronic water pump. accessory mode, hold the accelerator down for 30 seconds and the system will start to bleed) this process takes approximately 12 minute. No popping the hood or anything. So im sitting in my car. The process had just finished. And a sheetz worker by the name of Milly. Walked outside and walked up to my car and told me not to loiter at the gas pump. I had been there no more than 20 minute. Another car was there when i got there and there when i left with a person sitting inside i never saw them get out. I feel very disrespected to the point that i wanted to write a review about it. Dont go to this sheetz location! the workers are full of bs. They are playing security gaurd to no threat instead of doing the job they applied for. On top of that. Believe it or not the food is really good here and they have much more expansive menu than most other fast food restaurants and they taste better. From Pizza to wings to custom sandwiches and subs they have it all. Prices are reasonable and cheaper than 7-11. Try it and judge for yourself. You may be surprised. Food is also very consistent. Where do I even begin? I drive a diesel truck and I'm limited on gas station that have diesel in this area. I only come to this sheets when I'm in a pinch or passing by and I regret it almost every time. Today, only one of the four diesel pumps were working. I waited in line for 10 minutes and decided to leave. The only reason I will go there in the future is for the free air compressor. Get your shit together sheets, this is nothing new. I stopped here because Sheetz has always been my favorite place to stop for gas and food in PA and WV. Well...my my my how things have changed the further down south you go. This location is completely understaffed. Only had 3 people working - 2 cooking and 1 at the cash register. I went in and figured I wanted some food as well as pay for my gas (if you have the little key card Sheetz card, you have to go inside to pay). Anyway, I ordered the fish sandwich and onion rings. I stood in the long line that was at least 10 people deep (which by the way, some of the customers are extremely rude. I finally figured out that the line was curving the other way, so I was trying to get to the end of the line and this guy tried to cut me off, thinking I was getting in front of him. Really man, it's not that serious.) When I got to the front of the line and gave the woman my receipt for the food, she said that they were out of fish. Like really? How many people ordered fish today? I was highly upset. Being pregnant I want the weirdest things, and there really isn't a substitution. I come here a lot. They often have a lot of customers. The lines at the registers tend to move pretty quickly, but sometimes they take a long while when making the food. The food is pretty decent, but don't expect gourmet foods. It's decent food for a gas station. They are usually clean for the most part, but for some reason the floor is almost always wet by the ATM. This is by-far the WORST Sheetz I've ever been to. I'm standing here right now at 5am waiting (yet again) for a Breakfast Burrito to be made. The "Made To Order" menu is AWESOME, but it takes the mouth breathers over 20 minutes to make ANYTHING off of that same menu. One time I waited over half an hour to get my order. The final "straw" was the fact that I went to get coffee for my extended stay, and all 8 of their coffee pots were empty. When I confronted the woman behind the counter, all I got was "I axed someone to makes it and day mussta foeget...Sheeeet." (Grammar purposely misspelled in order to mimic her exact words). As I've stated in other posts - These are the parasites infecting our workforce and teaching our youth what quality customer service has become. Sheetz has/had the potential to be an awesome, new approach to gas stations. Along with WaWa, these chains offer much more than just a place to fill-up. I went to Sheets after reading a article claiming that Sheets and (I think) Wawa are new competition against places like McDonald's and Burger King. The article said that the food is good tasting, so I thought I would give their food a try. I would like to say now that that article was wrong! The food here was repulsive! I had ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap and was greatly disappointed with what I got. When I got it, the foil that covered the wrap looked like the wrap was wrapped properly, but I was wrong again. When I opened it, everything inside the wrap flowed out. It was no use trying to put the wrap back together because the tortilla wrapper looked like it was murdered. There was mostly big chunks of dry lettuce and tortilla wrapper in this "Chicken Caesar Wrap". The "Wrap", itself, lacked in Caesar dressing, cheese, and chicken. In addition to that, the chicken wasn't even worth eating. I won't even bother coming here again, because my family's meals were just as bad. I suggest anyone who thinks of eating here to not go here and just go to the restaurants near the mall or in Lake Ridge. read more

Each time I have gone there over the past few months close to half (if not more) of the pumps are out of service and I have to wait in line on one of the few that are working. Decent gas prices, sandwiches and food are good, but expensive. It can be really hit and miss on whether breads are baked right or overdone, and sometimes we even get hard hotdog buns. Fried foods are excellent here(I don't even like fried food much). Mozzarella, mac & cheese, onion rings, and fries are always done perfectly. Their hot dogs(I think they're Kunzler are the best around. Chili(I think is Castlebury's) is also my favorite hot dog chili. Sandwiches and burgers aren't cheap though. We spend as much here as we do at Fuddruckers. Truly though, it's all about the donuts & other goodies. Look, most places aren't frying stuff that much anymore. They still have great donuts and the FRITTERS! Apple fritters, and seasonally, they have blueberry or even cherry! They have these rolls that are carrot cake with cream cheese, and lemon ones too! As far as convenience stores/gas stations go, this place is pretty awesome, but it isn't inexpensive and it's almost always busy. read more
