Deliciousness - 4/5 Happiness - 5/5 Come visit this charming Turkish coffee-house, especially if you have a sweet tooth. We stopped here for a quick coffee and bite to eat. We got the Mushroom Soup, which was definitely my least favorite thing. Although it had a good umami flavor, and plenty of mushroom chunks, the consistency was a bit thicker than I liked it. However, I was more than happy with the Spinach Borek, which even my kids gulped down. I also really enjoyed my Turkish Coffee, which was super dark (my kind of coffee). They have a lot of sweet options as well - from turkish delight to ice cream to entire trays of baklavah. What I also particularly liked was the decor. Although they do "to-go" orders, I highly recommend eating there. Your food and drink will be served in really cool dishware by very friendly staff. They're also happy to answer any questions about the menu that you may have.

The service and food at ACH is like a warm hug. What can I say but excellent in every way. We were warmly greeted upon entering. The owner/staff helped me choose a new drink, the pistachio cream latte! Wow! Perfection in a cup. We also tried the honey cake, which was outstanding. They brought our drinks out on a silver platter. I plan to visit often. We had two pistachio cream lattes and my hubby and I shared the honey cake, which was huge! All of the desserts looked amazing so I asked for a recommendation and the honey cake did not disappoint. It's a very cozy and clean place. A nice coffee vibe. It's bright inside, which I like and the thoughtful touches throughout are icing on the cake. Please do yourself a favor and support this local business.

Great little coffeehouse! The Turkish tea was so good but pricey at 2.98 for a small cupful. The spinach borek was pretty small and plain tasting but decent. Shashuka was flavorful but again kinda pricey. The best part of our visit was the honey cake! Best piece of cake I've had in a while. It was light and not overly sweet. Must try it!

Stopped by Akida Coffeehouse and I was pleasantly surprised by how moist and delicious their honey cake is. It is decadent. It is layered with cream and cake and super soft, moist, and not overly sweet. I also tried the mini cheese borek. I'm looking forward to trying the coffee or tea on my next visit. Inside would be a great spot to work and have some pastries. They have WiFi and you'd never run out of something tasty to try. The service was so friendly. The ladies were helpful and helped me make my selections.

I happened to be in the Woodbridge area and discovered this Turkish cafe tucked away in a shopping center. They've got lots of delicious-looking baklava and other pastries that I'd like to sample. I went for the Turkish coffee, but should have gotten it black for the full coffee flavor. Very good! It's a small cafe, with a pleasant atmosphere and the feeling of entering the old world. The barista helped me make my selection with a smile.

Came here for the second time yesterday and I just love the atmosphere. The owners are as sweet as can be and put care into everything they make. This little cup of Turkish coffee was so delicious. The baklava was absolutely perfect. Turkish coffee is served with a little piece of Turkish delight which was the best compliment to this cup. Next time I go I will go in the morning for Turkish breakfast. This place is such a wonderful addition to the area

While waiting on my car to be serviced nearby I was walking around and saw this cute coffee shop so I stopped in to see what they had to offer. I was not disappointed at all. I ordered a caramel iced latte and it was delicious. The best $8 latte I've ever had. The service was great and the ladies working were so nice and patient as I figured out what I wanted. They also have delicious looking pastries and fresh Turkish desserts. I'll definitely e back to try out their desserts.

What a wonderful little shop! The owners are SO kind and friendly, it felt so inviting. I got a latte, my friend got a Turkish coffee, and I also got a double pistachio baklava. All of the baklava looked amazing and wow was it - so much flavor but also not too sweet, and the pastry was nice and flaky. The latte was really balanced and delicious, and the Turkish coffee was fantastic - not bitter at all and very flavorful. It's a really cute little shop and worth driving off the beaten path to go there!

Akida coffeehouse is my #1 favorite coffee place, the mood is always so cozy in there it feels like you're visiting your family every time you walk in. The second you walk in you're greeted by warm smiles. it is a family owned cafe and these people work their butts off the make it the best cafe place and they're doing great! Their pastries are very good and homemade, their coffee is phenomenal. They even have tea parties for their customers! I understand it can be a bit pricey sometimes, however the hard work and love they pour into their pastries/coffee makes it all worth it. Please go and enjoy their cafe!

Coffee Shop No. 464 Akida Coffeehouse Woodbridge, VA January 30, 2025 I was so excited to hear a new coffee shop opened near me. I jokingly tell people that I live in a coffee desert; meaning there are no good local coffee shops near me. Well, I can finally stop using that line. Akido Coffeehouse opened near me and they are everything I want in a coffee shop. The owners are fantastic. They are kind, friendly, and welcoming. They welcomed every person who walked through their door and engaged with the customers after drinks/food were served. I ordered their Turkish coffee and freshly baked baklava; which was baked by one of the owners. The Turkish coffee was perfect; robust strong flavor, thick consistency, and aromatic. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Suggested the Turkish delight, already half way gone. Delicious.

We also tried the crab cake sandwich and French onion soup (also yummy). The ambiance is wonderful with French music playing and a darling patio. This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it. It was much more akin to pudding, and there wasn't a deep enough chocolate flavor to contrast with the whipped cream. There's no better place I've found in Occoquan to eat, drink, and be merry. I highly recommend you stop here when you visit.

I ordered a vegetarian crepe, and my friend got an Oreo crepe. Both were decent, but honestly pretty underwhelming. The flavors were fine, just not memorable, and definitely not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I also tried a vanilla chai latte, which was the same story--good, but nothing special. The biggest downside for me was the value. I ended up spending around $17, and it just didn't feel worth it. Between the portion size and the overall taste, it felt like something I could've easily made at home for a fraction of the price. Service was okay. The woman working there had a more straightforward, no-frills personality--not particularly warm or welcoming, but not rude either. Just very to-the-point. The space itself is also pretty small, with limited seating. It's probably best suited for quick stops or takeout rather than sitting and hanging out for a while. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't give me a strong reason to come back. If you're nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once--but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

From the greeting by one of the owners of this fine dining oasis to his two subsequent table visits; to the perky, unpretentious, attentive server; to the decor and abundant floral arrays; and to the variety and imagination of the many menu choices, we validated that quality. The Coconut Poached Halibut and the Pan Seared Scallops we ordered arrived in a timely fashion after we enjoyed the excellent bread course, followed by a surprise gift the restaurant offered, as well as our two salads. The Watermelon & Arugala salad and the Strawberry Burrata salad were fresh, outside the norm, delicious and presented artistically. The main courses themselves were truly memorable. We agreed that we couldn't have made better choices. Saucing was outstanding. Finally, the desserts. What a finish to a delectable meal! Chai Creme Brulee and Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake were our choices. They were simply scrumptious. We will remember The Bourbon and Fig for the next occasion. We were lucky to find a real gem where people can relax and be unhurried. The atmosphere, the meal, the service and, again, the quality convey an attention to excellence.
