The food was good, but for the price, it was definitely not worth it. I paid $25 for the Shakshuka, plus a drink, and honestly, I expected more for that price. I understand that costs are high these days, but there's a difference between covering your costs and overcharging customers. The portion and overall value simply weren't there for me. This is exactly why I'm careful about supporting small businesses when the prices don't match what you're getting. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. My fiancé and I went exploring for a new coffee spot to try. We stumbled into Akida Coffeehouse and it smelled amazing! It was a very welcoming environment and just had a very open vibe. We were immediately greeted and our order was taken. We initially got Baklava, Turkish coffee and a pistachio iced latte. All three were amazing. The baklava was hands down the best I've ever had. Akida is so cute and welcoming. The staff is very warm and friendly. The Turkish coffee is strong and delicious, as it should be. I'm obsessed with the honey cake, which is also delicious, and big. They had just put out fresh baklava, which I bought and then ate the next day and it was very good. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, so it was a little quiet, which was nice because we could relax and talk and not feel rushed. Stopped by to pick up something sweet and was surprised that a box of six pieces of baklava cost $22. It felt a bit overpriced for the quantity. We got the Mushroom Soup, which was definitely my least favorite thing. Although it had a good umami flavor, and plenty of mushroom chunks, the consistency was a bit thicker than I liked it. However, I was more than happy with the Spinach Borek, which even my kids gulped down. I also really enjoyed my Turkish Coffee, which was super dark (my kind of coffee). They have a lot of sweet options as well - from turkish delight to ice cream to entire trays of baklavah. What I also particularly liked was the decor. Although they do "to-go" orders, I highly recommend eating there. Your food and drink will be served in really cool dishware by very friendly staff. The service and food at ACH is like a warm hug. What can I say but excellent in every way. We were warmly greeted upon entering. The owner/staff helped me choose a new drink, the pistachio cream latte! Wow! Perfection in a cup. We also tried the honey cake, which was outstanding. They brought our drinks out on a silver platter. I plan to visit often. We had two pistachio cream lattes and my hubby and I shared the honey cake, which was huge! All of the desserts looked amazing so I asked for a recommendation and the honey cake did not disappoint. It's a very cozy and clean place. A nice coffee vibe. Came here for the second time yesterday and I just love the atmosphere. The owners are as sweet as can be and put care into everything they make. This little cup of Turkish coffee was so delicious. While waiting on my car to be serviced nearby I was walking around and saw this cute coffee shop so I stopped in to see what they had to offer. I was not disappointed at all. What a wonderful little shop! The owners are SO kind and friendly, it felt so inviting. I got a latte, my friend got a Turkish coffee, and I also got a double pistachio baklava. All of the baklava looked amazing and wow was it - so much flavor but also not too sweet, and the pastry was nice and flaky. I got a huge slice of layered heaven thinking I'll need to share .. but oh my sweetness the layers were so delightfully melt-in-my-mouth light and airy, I easily finished the whole slice with a wish for more. There was at least one gorgeous gluten-free dessert option. I enjoyed the light pouring through the windows, it feels bright and cheery and clean inside. The coffee seemed authentically made - it was my first taste of Turkish coffee and very different from my usual home brew but I enjoyed the experience as a whole.
