Best boba tea spot in Manassas. I've been here a couple of times and am always satisfied with the drinks. The boba is always soft and they don't put too much ice! The service is always nice, too. If you have a sweet tooth (like me ) I recommend the Tiger Boba. It has a sweet syrup in the drink. The shop is sooo cute, too! The couch is quite comfortable.

As such, this should be the same quality of food you'd expect at any of the Champ's Chicken locations. I've never had it before, so this was an adventure for me... The fuel cost at the location was high for the area. When I visited, it was $3.19, while a station just down the road was $3.03. The food I ordered from Champs Chicken was the 4 pc fried fish (catfish) special, for $15. For $15 I had expected it would come as a meal, but nope - it was 4 pieces of fish in a box. The fish tasted alright, but was extremely salty, which is a shock to me because I am one of those family members which everyone else knows for dumping salting on nearly everything, and is the first one to reach for the salt shaker when eating out anywhere... This fish had the traditional crispy crunchy breadcrumb batter, with a nice flaky hot interior. The food was pretty good, but probably not worth the $15 - Maybe $9.99-11.99, since it came with no drink and no sides. The food was ready pretty fast. The staff were friendly and polite. Since this is essentially a franchise restaurant inside another location, what they have you do is this: They write down your order, they give you the ticket, you walk over to the gas station clerk counter, you hand them the ticket, they ring you up and mark it paid, you take the ticket back over to the Champs counter and hand it back when you get your food. An interesting way to do it for sure, but I can see why they do it like that.

They host multiple events throughout the month for community members to participate. It's a feel-good spot all around. During our visit we enjoyed lattes, egg bites, and a strawberry Danish. My toddler liked the food and didn't want to leave the play area when it was time to go. Highly recommend a visit!

I just didn't feel inclined to go in. A coffee buddy said she wanted to take me to a coffee shop she really liked and it turned out to be Vita Nova Creations & Coffee Company. Now I am kicking myself because I it took me so long to enjoy a cortado from here. The baristas were very friendly. The young lady who helped me was not familiar with cortados, but she was willing to give it a try. She did great. The espresso to milk ratio was perfect. The milk was super hot, but a little time walking around the shop before sipping fixed that. What a shop!! From jewelry, to clothing, to paint, and stationary; this shop seems to have it all. On top of all the amazingly creative merchandise there is plenty of seating. I am very glad I finally visited this shop! Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

While the…read morecafe itself is small and cute, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The Service: When we walked in, we stood at the host stand for a while without being acknowledged. Eventually, we just walked up to the cashier. Since it was our first time, we were clearly a bit lost, but there was no "hello" or "welcome" the cashier just handed us menus and told us to order at the counter. The lack of communication made the atmosphere feel a bit unwelcoming. The Price & Value: The bad part of the experience was the checkout process. The lowest tip option on the screen was 25%, with the highest being 32%. For a place where you order at the counter and receive minimal service, that felt very steep. I ordered the Barrio Breakfast and an horchata, though I was confused as to why I was charged for a more expensive "iced horchata latte" instead. My boyfriend got a bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread and a bottled Coke. Our total came out to nearly $60. The Food: To be fair, the food was actually very tasty and we had no complaints about the quality. However, in this economy, it's hard to justify the price for what is essentially a meal you could make at home for a fraction of the cost. Overall: It's worth trying once if you're curious, but because of the high prices and the awkward service, I don't think we'll be regulars. I only took a photo of my horchata since I forgot to take a photo of the meal.

Incredibly, all 3 of the 2022 runner-up were in Virginia as I live in Anne Arundel County, MD, but that's just how it worked out with Jirani Coffee House being the furthest from my home at a staggering 53 miles away. It was one of those strange Saturdays where I ended up further and further from my home throughout the day. There was something expensive I was shopping for (bed) where I wanted to test in person as opposed to buying online without knowing. It was in a bedding store in the Tysons area, which I ended up buying from them in the end. Then, there was an astronomy Meetup out at the Air & Space Museum out in Chantilly, so I was like I'm already out in Tysons, and in the 11 years living in the DMV, I need to visit this location of Air & Space. The astronomy Meetup was canceled due to overcast weather, which I didn't realize until after I got there, but I enjoyed the museum until closing time. I weighed options and saw a coffee & comedy Meetup even further from my home in Manassas, which I decided to do since the astronomy event was canceled, and I had already driven all that way. Experience at Jirani: This was a cute coffee house in historic downtown Manassas. The iced chai was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Then, the comedy at nearby ART Factory was great too as was the museum which had some free wine & hors d'oeuvres. If I'm ever in Manassas, I'd definitely try to get back to Jirani!

He audibly scoffed, rolled his eyes and said "you want it blendeeeed?" I said yes please. He then proceeded to mumble under his breath "great now I gotta clean that." I visited on Sunday, March 22 during a soccer tournament with my son and his friend for a quick bite. Before ordering, I specifically asked our server, Antonio, how long the food would take. He told us 5-10 minutes. We waited patiently for about 20 minutes before I went to check on our order, only to be told that the kitchen hadn't even started it. He said we will refund tomorrow, and that he didn't have the authority and that it would be processed "tomorrow." He didn't take my name, number, or any information so it was unclear how that would even happen. On top of that, his attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making it feel like I was inconveniencing him just for asking about an order and how will he keep track on who he's refunding while we had already been waiting! This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing especially with kids waiting. Lack of communication, poor service, and no follow-up make this feel like a complete rip-off.

In addition, the drinks that we ordered were just not good at all: +the Toasted Marshmallow Latte - prepared with 2 shots of espresso, choice of milk, and a housemade toasted marshmallow syrup; this tasted like watered down coffee with no 'toasted marshmallow' taste; coffee could have been prepared strong, and we did ask for 'extra hot', but received it regular temperature +Witch's Potion - an apple cider with chai, topped with a dash of cinnamon; probably one of the worst ciders we've had - wasn't really sure the mixture with the chai, but this just seemed like it was an improperly steeped tea that did not have any flavor The staff were friendly, and there seemed to be local patrons who come here on a regular basis.
