They have a large menu selection which was a little overwhelming at first, serving not only bubble tea but also ice cream, bingsoo, hot snacks like fries and sandwiches, etc. We tried their ube latte and strawberry peach green tea lemonade with less sweetness, which were both good! The lady at the register was really nice giving me flexibility to lessen the ube cream for less sweetness. I did like the lemonade more as it was very refreshing and light. I've been craving a good Thai tea, and Chunky Cup did not disappoint! The Thai tea was incredibly delicious and honestly a little addictive--it hit the spot perfectly. My friend, my daughter and I were excited to try this place for bubble tea. It was a new location in a secluded area in the back. The name fit the Chunky cup. It's a big cup one size fits all for your Boba drink. The cafe was cleaned and organized. You can order on multiple platforms. There was one guy to handle all the drinks and food by himself. When he handed me my drink then the cup was properly sealed. Overall it was an okay experience. The drinks are great. First visit to Chunky Cup! We came for an event that my daughter wanted to go to. I think we were the first customers for the event. The event table was set up to the left and vendors were setting up on the right side of the lobby. Since we were early, we decided to order food and drinks. There were so many choices! Not long after we got there, more people started showing up and the lobby was pretty packed. We got our drinks first and then our food. They all came out pretty quickly and they were all delicious! Popping strawberry is the best in the mango sparkler!! I got the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders were large pieces and the fries were a hefty portion. Everyone was so nice at Chunky Cup. One of the employees gave us one of the small totes (Chunky Cup merch) that was part of the promo today and even though we were early for the promo, they still gave us the tote. Wow, so nice! We were looking for a mid-afternoon snack and Chunky came up nearby. They had some unique drinks, so I went with the Cocofee, my wife had a caramel coffee, and we split the Parmesan fries. Cocofee was really good: not too sweet and on a warm day the coconut slush with the coffee holds up well. The caramel coffee was tasty with a kick. Fries came out hot and it's a pretty decent sized portion. Good size for a snack to split. There aren't a ton of food items on the menu, but I'd like to give some of the others a try. Ube flavors ON POINT! I was only driving through Woodbridge so I wasn't able to try other things but tried their ube brown sugar drink. Really enjoyed the authentic ube flavors in both the cream and the drink itself, probably the best ube flavors among NOVA boba places. Appreciated how the 75% sugar wasn't too sweet. Their boba on the other hand was pretty standard. It was good but maybe a little on the harder side. I did order via phone ahead of time so maybe that might have affected the boba texture. Today, June 16th, at exactly 4:46 pm, I came in with my 9-year-old daughter -- she was really excited to get ice cream from Chunky Cup. Unfortunately, it was raining, and your floor was wet at the entrance, and my daughter's shoes were wet as well. She slipped and fell as soon as we walked in. Two of your employees on shift at that time looked at each other, started laughing, and made fun of my 9-year-old. My daughter felt embarrassed, so I turned back to ask them what was so funny. Instead of laughing, I believe they should have apologized and cleaned up the wet floor to avoid further accidents. I proceeded to the restroom (and believe me, I was really upset), and I noticed they were still laughing. I then asked for the Spanish girl's name, but a girl with black hair -- who appeared to be either Indian or Hispanic -- repeatedly asked me "Why?" and refused to provide me with her first name. This kind of behavior is very unprofessional and mean, especially when directed toward a child who fell. I'm teaching my daughter to be empathetic and kind when someone falls, and it's disheartening for her to see this kind of bullying from the people who are supposed to provide a welcoming and respectful atmosphere. My daughter felt so badly that she didn't even want to come out of the restroom and insisted we just go home. This happened at the chunky cup in Woodbridge Area. read more

I came to chunky cup during their soft opening because I was in the area! My husband sent me their Instagram page last week and I'm happy we came. We were instantly greeted by the workers, and they were extremely sweet and welcoming. They had a variety of drink options and finger food options. We ordered the lychee slush with rainbow jelly and a blue pink drink with boba. For food, we got the mini chunky chicks! The boba came in their chunky cups and it came out really quick. The food didn't take long either. It was small chicken pieces that were battered with a golden crispy texture and had a lot of umami flavor. The chunky chicks came with a sweet chili dip and it paired really well! The chunky chicks were not salty and was packed with the perfect balance of flavors. :) I met the owner (who was asking for feedback from customers). He was one of the most sweetest and warming person! You could tell he genuinely cared about your experience and wants to do anything he can to improve. We were wanting some boba and didn't feel like going too far so we decided to give this place a shot after hearing some decent things about it. This place is located right behind the Dollar Tree on Hoadly, not really anything else around it either so we couldn't see it at first. There is both street parking behind the shop and spots in front of it. We came in on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy, maybe 5-6 people total while we were there. Staff wasn't really too friendly but it could've been a rough/slow day. We ordered a Brown Sugar Ube Milk and Thai Tea both with boba and a Chocolate Lava Toast to share. Only took about 5-10 minutes for everything to come out. The cups are pretty huge and only come in the one size. I got the Brown Sugar Ube Milk at 50% sugar and it was still pretty sweet which was understandable considering everything in it. Still good, decent amount of ube flavor but it is very purple. The Thai Tea was ok, about standard. The boba had a good chew, not mushy which was great. The lava toast was good. Not too sweet, very light chocolate flavor and plenty of boba pearls on it. Almost too many, but I won't complain about it. Overall, it was solid. I'd like to come back and try their other food and maybe their other drinks. I may have come on an off day so I'll give it another shot soon since its one of the only non chain boba spots around here. read more

Don't be a fool like me and park on the street and walk towards the sign off the road that says Chunky Cup... it's the back of the building! LOL there is a parking lot you can turn into.... The area looks like a brand new development and I thought it was basically a townhouse complex, but it's actually business buildings! This place is super cute and right off the road, so it's hard to miss. The staff are also super nice and friendly, and they have lots of options. Best Boba tea I have had in the area. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea, which was delicious, slightly sweet so I will likely get 50% sweetness next time. The customer service at this location is awesome, the gentleman working the cash register is super nice and courteous. $6.30 for a pretty large boba, very reasonable price. Like another reviewer, I too was disappointed with the mini chicken chunks as they were burnt and hard to chew. But what disappointed me even more was the attitude I got from the guy who took my order. I asked if they had oatmilk and he said they only have whole milk. Ok so I still ordered just a strawberry slush and asked if they would have nondairy options in the future and he said "probably not, but you can bring your own and we'll make it" it took everything in me to not respond to him in kind. Like why?! And then just had an attitude after that. Didn't even respond after I said thank you when giving me the food. I always want to support local small businesses but the attitude is unnecessary. Many people are dairy free these days. I guess I'll just go back to Ben Gong and Kung Fu Tea or the one in the mall. The boba is perfectly chewy and soft and i appreciate the fresh brewed tea. The Taro milk tea was great and better than most locations and we usually venture out to Gong Cha or Ben Gong. Finally a bubble tea shop with food choices in Woodbridge! We love bubble tea and we love taiwanese fried chicken so it was exciting to hear this was opening just down the street! And a free bloody lemonade on their Day 1 promo. We are bubble tea regulars and I grew up with bubble tea before it even became a trend lol. With that said, all the drinks were good except for the taro milk tea. Not sure what happened but it tasted like they didn't put enough taro flavoring and very watery. It barely had any flavor. The boba was not our favorite as it should have a slight sweetness. It didn't have any flavor but it would be okay if the drinks were on point. Parmesan fries were fresh and super delicious. I didn't get a chance to order at the time but will definitely be back to try their snacks and desserts! I'm visiting VA (from California) to see my family, my brother searched for a local boba shop near Dumfries and found this location. They serve Vietnamese Iced Coffee which is a great addition to the menu, strong but not bitter. I also ordered their cheese foam drink menu items and they are very delicious, I put 30% sweetness and it's perfect for me. Their spot has one size cups but has a great value for their size.
