We had to wait for the special orders to be made, but then he installs them expertly, and as always offered to adjust the seats in a couple weeks once they have settled in. Came by the Store three times. No one was there. The phone number on Yelp is not correct. The store next-door told me they leave a message for him to call me. No calls. Finally, I got a call on my fourth try. He says he'll be there on Thursday, at 3:45, but can I call him and remind him. I say no, can he remember to be at his store as he committed. He says, OK OK I'll be there. Needless to say, he wasn't there. He didn't respond to his phone. clearly he doesn't want to do business. Go somewhere else. Buy your sheepskin online. I suspect that's where he gets his sheep skin, anyway, and just marks it up, from what other reviewers have said . This guys a waste of time and money. read more

I had David install sheepskin seat covers on my 2008 Toyota Prius because the original cloth is pretty mediocre and they were looking pretty awful. This was my birthday present to myself. I chose the 100% sheepskin, which was the better of the two choices and I'm glad I did because it's well worth the modest extra cost, and the only way to go. The front two seats were done. It's now a year and a half later and as long as you brush the seats, they will look fantastic and hold up beautifully for a long-long time! Some people have looked at my seats and think that they're so outdated considering that they were big in the 1980's, but then they sit in the car and fall in love with the feeling and comfort. They keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I work in Sacramento and it's such an added bonus to get in the car when it's over 110 degrees and the only thing that's not scalding hot are the seats. Likewise, when everything in the car is frozen in the morning, the seats are not, and they are able to take in your warmth quickly and keep you warm during your commute. David was able to find perfectly matching colors for my Prius, so they look like they came with the car. Unlike the cheaper stuff you can get elsewhere that are "one size fits all" (and Costco carries this from time to time), these fit tightly on my seats and have remained tight. I've seen a few other cars where you can see the difference because they're loose and baggy with bulges of extra sheepskin all over the seat from either improper fit or from stretching out. Not mine! I have no complaints and I think as long as you both brush them with a wire brush to keep them fluffy, and you have them dry-cleaned from time to time, they will last a very very long time. When I bought them, David showed me a stack of sheepskins that he was having dry cleaned for his customers. He said many of them were well over 10 years old, but you could not tell their age whatsoever. By the way, I had my first car done back in the 1980's, which were also done by a professional store like David's, but they did not hold up as well, so David's distributor is far better than the ones in the 1980's. Bought my seat covers from him in Summer 2013. December of the same year they started falling apart so I took them back to see what was up. He said "no problem". He took them off and said he would have new ones in seven to ten days. The days and weeks went by and no seat covers. He said the new ones were on their way from China, and it takes a while. Three months went by all the while I'm driving around with my old seats in need of covers. Finally, I went to get my money back and he said he would let me use some "loaners" while we wait for the new ones to arrive from China. The months and months went by, the "loaners" being old nasty hole ridden covers. Again when pressed, he said it's a long way from China and said he'd have them "soon". Unbelievable. I've never been through anything like this in my life. This guy will lie to you with a smile on his face. Here it is a year later, no covers. I went into his shop again two days ago (pig stye) and threatened him with small claims court. He said come back in two days, I must have made ten trips to that dump. Today, almost a year later he had some used ones there for me. I took them thinking I'm lucky to get anything out of this crook. . A year later the replacements were also in tatters. Word on the street has it, he buys used seat covers at auction, "patches 'em up" and sells them to suckers like me. I just want to take this time to warn all others to stay away from this guy. At least now this nightmare is over for me, don't let this happen to you! There are plenty of legit seat cover companies around. I bought my wife some seat covers for Christmas last year, and have meant to give a shout out for this great shop ever since. The owner was out of stock of the color I wanted, but put in an order for me and had the covers sent directly to me. Once I got them, I took them in, and he installed everything - it looked like a factory job. I had a good experience with David and Sheepskin Land . I have been using sheepskin covers on lots of cars over the years, even ones with fancy leather from the factory. I have had universal and custom fitted and know a good product and good installation when I see it. My wife loves riding in my car on those seat covers. However, it's worth your time to make a connection with him. He gave excellent advice and had great suggestions. I stopped by last wkend after purchasing my new car and decided to get some seatcovers. I had them before in my old honda and since I had them in before, I thought I would get them again. My original covers were purchased in LA and decided to look for covers near my work area. I got a recommendation from the WC honda dealer to drop by this place and glad I did. It's a small place near the main street, 3rd ave. and easy to find. Got a better covers from my previous and price was decent for the purchase. I thought about going custom but decided not to because my new Honda did not require it. The seat was pretty common and this pair was going to last just as long as the custom. The guy was pretty friendly, explained different types of covers and installed it while I waited; no extra charge. I was gifted with a sheepskin seat cover from Sheepskin Land for Christmas. I really only needed something to protect my new car's light-colored leather seat from stains caused by dark denim jeans. So, was not expecting to have something like sheepskin. After doing some online research, and not really finding anything suitable, I decided to give the sheepskin a try. Took it to the shop asked a bunch of questions, and had it custom-installed. Took about 15 minutes, and he answered all my questions. I sought out custom front seat covers for my Honda Oddyssey, which has a wheelchair lift conversion and the front seats are modified. The estimates I received from other seat cover vendors were double the price and required a two seat minimum and six week delivery date. David offered to sell me a single seat cover for the driver's seat, and promised two week delivery, so I thought it would be a worthwhile investment. He did not have any seat samples in the store, so my biggest fear was that the covers would look like the retro shaggy seatcovers from the 1970s! Unfortunately, it took three weeks for delivery, but I was happy with the quality of the sheepskin (short, dense nap in a conservative tan color) and the customized fit, so I ordered a second cover for the passenger front seat. It too was delivered in three weeks. I have had both covers for four weeks, and expect that they will be durable for several years. David is a unique individual with broad life experiences who enjoys engaging in commentary on the top news stories: it may seem a bit off-putting and promote concerns about his professionalism.
