I wanted to give a big shout out to Mr. Shin, Elliot, Sean and Alex for taking exellent care of my 2018 Camaro ZL1. They removed the original oilpump that failed at 21k miles. It was replaced with a Katech wet sump oil pump. Their team listened to my needs and meticulously took everything apart cleaned and verified that all debris from pan to oil galleries were good to go. There was alot of care and pride in their work. I give them a 5 star for an outstanding and excellent service!! Thank you!! read more

I have an older Hyundai Sonata that has been nothing but good to me over the years and unexpectedly hit a coyote on the 905 damaging multiple parts u see the hood. Sheen Auto Care promptly answered my call and took a look under the hood and professionally explained what we can do to get this car back in working order. No upselling and reasonable pricing and got my car back and running in no time. A lot of respect to these guys. Thank you! read more

I've been taking my car to Sheen's Auto care for several years. Today, I had this funny noise when I turned my air-conditioning on, it sounded like something was terribly wrong. Sean called me back after looking at my car, and said there was a leaf stuck, the tech easily took it out and the noise is now gone. I know mechanic shops that would have taken advantage of the fact that I'm a girl, and I wouldn't have known what that noise was, and sold me something that I didn't need. The most honest mechanic shop in San Diego that I know of, plus they do an excellent job, and one of the FEW mechanic shops that have earned my trust. Thank you Sean and your team. Ps: I really admire that during the pandemic, they offered first responders and health care workers a free oil change, and a free cabin filter to me. A company that truly believes in giving back and caring for their community. Thank you. read more

Sheens Auto Care - Waiting in the lobby with my furbaby - Auto Repair Near Me - San Diego, California

I've gone to Sheens for years. The value and quality of their work is the best! I've taken my cars there over the years. I would never go anywhere else to have my car worked on. read more

Awesome service! Honest! They will tell you what they can or can not do, what the cost is, where they have to go to get parts. Friendly guy at the desk and knowledgeable about different car makes and what common issues they have! read more

My family and I have been going to Sheen's auto care for over a decade and used to receive excellent service. However, our most recent encounter with them will be our last. My mother had a fender bender on her bumper and took it in to the shop as usual. For whatever reason, it was a very poor repair job this time and the trunk of the car didn't align or close properly and the paint didn't match the rest of the car. We were surprised the car looked so poorly repaired this time and asked why the color of the repairs didn't match the rest of the car, since they had stated how expensive it is to buy the exact color for Lexus vehicles in the past. Then we noticed that the trunk wasn't closing properly and was crooked and that not only was it not properly installed, they had replaced the rubber on one side of the inner lining with a much thinner, flimsier piece. We addressed it with the man at the front desk, Sean, who quickly lost his temper. Without even looking at the vehicle, he screamed at my elderly mother and claimed that no car will ever look perfect after being repaired considering it has been in a "major accident". I would hardly say that a fender bender is a major accident but I digress. He then proceeded to walk over to the vehicle and started slamming it with his hands to try and close the trunk properly. It didn't close since it was crooked but he continued to slam the car repeatedly like a lunatic. I know times are tough after covid but this was strange, insane behavior. None of the employees bothered to stop him from screaming or hitting the car and he continued to talk down to my mother. It was to the point where spit was flying out of his mouth and his face was turning red because he was just determined to let out all the obscenities he could think of. I don't really think any conversation warrants such disgusting behavior towards their customers but after notifying the owner, he did not seem to care at all so perhaps this is just how they do business now? My mother is a senior citizen, handicapped, and weighs a mere 102 pounds. An adult man yelling at a frail older woman shouldn't be dealt with lightly but none of the employees or owner cared. Considering the quality of the repairs are poor and the customer service is nonexistent, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

We have been using Sheen's for almost ten years and appreciate Sean's honesty and experience with customers. We have come to rely and trust him for all our vehicles. It's almost impossible to find a honest trustworthy mechanic but this is the place. read more

My dad referred me to Sheens auto care to get some things fixed with my car. They were fast, responsive and very communicative throughout the whole process. I was explained things going on with my car in a way that was educational/ understandable. I was even given a complimentary loaner car for the day and a half it took for my car to be fixed. Such a fast turnaround too I was expecting my car to be in the shop a lot longer and it was nice to not worry about a rental. Will definitely return to Sheens for any future auto needs. read more

When the local Mazda dealership went out of business, I was worried about finding a good place to take my car. We found Sheens through Costco and I'm so glad that we did. From the moment I dropped the car off, the service was excellent! I highly recommend taking your car here; I'll be back next year for sure! Sean Yi, the General Manager, was excellent to work with. read more

Sean made sure that my car was repaired and well taken care of .. He made the process between the insurance and me super easy and went out of his way to help me Also Eliot is a great guy Awesome customer service Definitely will recommend this place to more people and come back if needed read more

I originally found Sheens through a recommendation of friend at work years ago. Since then I've taken all my cars to Sheens. As most of my cars tend to be high mileage (100-250k), Sheens does a good job noting things that need to be taken care of, and doing their best to keep me aware of issues that might become problems later. Overall, this is a reliable and trustworthy shop, and prices are fair, and all the staff are friendly and easy to work with. read more

I appreciate all the service they provide.... I had rear end. I went to get a quote where the insurance investigator told me to go. It was very rude experience... Here at Sheens. They asked me first if I am OK !!! The manager at Sheens took care of all the insurance billing and everything! I didn't need to answer any call from insurance investigator!! (Insurance call can be very exhausting and always at my work hour) When I dropped of my car I mentioned them my smog check is needed to be done. The manager didn't forget that! When I picked up my car, it is not just fixed! The smog check is also done! ( so I don't need to make another appointment) Thanks you!! read more

My whole family and quite a few friends go to Sheens. The customer service is great, especially Sean, they are a good value and they get the job done quickly. I've taken my car there for not only oil changes or regular maintenance but also auto body work. Sean will always tell you what HAS to be done right away so you can make informed decisions about the repairs and it helps save money so you're not wasting time on an issue that can wait. I highly recommend them. read more

Sheens is excellent and professional. They've been doing my car maintenance for a half year now. They've done my 70,000 mile service, oil changes, automatic transmission service and throttle cleaning. Sean in the front office has been great about providing clear detailed quotes with recommendations on items requiring immediate attention and those which can wait or will be due soon. I've been shown every problem area before any work was done. They've finished on time as promised. All of their work as been impeccable. I'm very pleased to have found a first class shop in my neighborhood. read more

I took my 2013 Chevy Malibu in to Sheens to have them diagnose an overheating issue I was experiencing. Sean was very nice and very good at explaining the issues in simple terms for me, someone clueless about cars. I had my thermostat, drive belt, and leak in my coolant system fixed. All parts used were Chevy and the overall price with labor was fair. I will definitely be coming back. Great, friendly, laid back service. Highly recommend! read more

I received a courtesy call from Sheens regarding my review, with a request for information on Honda's diagnosis and repair of the electrical door locking problem for internal review purposes. Once I provided that information they graciously offered to refund the $230 I had paid, which I accepted. Sheens has always been polite and friendly throughout, and this shows they have a strong interest in maintaining good customer relations. read more

Trustworthy, reliable and timely with very fair (and honest) pricing. My family has been taking all of our cars to this shop from when I was a kid riding in the back of a van, and now I'm taking my own vehicle to Sheens. Sean and co. are always very clear about explaining what's going on, their recommendations, and they give you a breakdown of all the expenses up front and explain each and every charge. If anything comes up, they will always call and let you know what's going on and give you your options before they work on anything so there are never any surprises. There might be places that can offer cheaper pricing, and yeah the dealership may give you a free car wash, but Sheen's is the trusty mechanic your dad always told you was so important to have. read more

The ONLY PLACE I TRUST!!! Even though we live out in Chula Vista now I still come out here knowing I'm gonna get the best of the best as promised and expected. NEVER have I had issues with my vehicles (Lexus & Benz) after coming back from this shop. They are simply amazing. Don't Hesitate call now and make your appointment. You will be happy you did. read more

Broke down and towed in...they were quick, helpful, and thorough. Especially taking note of what the best option for parts is as I am not a local. They ensured my parts warranty was honored by any ford dealer in the US. If I lived in the area I would definitely use them for any of my repairs needed. read more

Sean and his team are amazing! This is the second time I have brought my car in for body damage and I 100% recommended them. The customer service is amazing and they do a GREAT job! Thank you! read more

Sheen Auto Care has been very good to me. I have been taking my cars there for years and I can honestly say they want to do right by their customers. I have plenty of anecdotal stories of my experiences plus several from friends & family where customer service and quality of work have been proven over and over. Suffice to say once you get to know them they will get to know you and your auto. They work with you on the manufacturer preventive maintenance schedule and if your on a tight budget they give you a high priority list and can work out a schedule for when you can follow up. Amenities: They have a lounge to wait with coffee, water, TV (Dish), DVD/VHS player and Internet access. read more

Sean & team at Sheen's Auto Care did an outstanding job of repairing my car. I had a complicated insurance claim and Sean helped me every step of the way. The attention to detail in the repair is phenomenal--they went above and beyond what I was expecting. For instance they cleaned my foggy headlight and fixed the rattling noise in my door all without asking me. The best part, my car didn't smell like a dirty mechanic/body shop. Highly recommend! read more

My family and I have been coming to Sheens for more than 20 years. Mr.Shin, Sean and the rest of the staff have always been kind and efficient and are never pushy. I have always been able to count on them for honesty, reliability and far pricing for all services done. They offer a loaner car free of charge if one of my vehicles needs servicing longer than a day, and always finish the work in a very timely manner. I have been 100% satisfied as a long time customer and definitely would refer and will continue to use Sheens for my car servicing needs. read more

Body Shop Repair was PERFECT. My wife spoke with Sean for an estimate. Sean did not dumb down the conversation, treated her with respect and answered all her questions. The estimate for repairs on a 2017 Infiniti QX70 was very fair. When we dropped off the car, Sean marked every spot on the car with a highlight pen to ensure we all agreed on the totality of the repairs. This was a fantastic method of clear communications. The car was repaired on time, for exactly the amount of the estimate. It was returned cleaned, shined, and in better condition than delivered for repairs. On our way out the owner stopped us, thanked us, and asked if we were happy. WOW, a company that treats customers like we expect to be treated. We will be back for additional routine maintenance, along with any future body repairs. Extremely happy and satisfied customer. We lucked out finding Sheens; I hope you find them too. I just received my email notice today from Sheens. I have been using their service for about 5 years. Out of the 10 neighbors I live around 6 people go to Sheens. We all love their service very much. I enjoy not having to worry about my car. After I had my last service done I received a call 2 days later to see if everything was OK. When does anyone ever do that anymore. I really felt as though I must share my results with Yelp that if your car needs service; you should call Sheens. Carol W. read more

Untruthful, or at least inaccurate in their inspection, although their price seems to be competitive. Took my car in for a smoke check, battery replacement and inspection, and they claimed that the ABS module was down and needed to be fixed right away at theirs. I did not trust them and took my car to the dealership, there was no problem at all after battery replacement. Their lower price comes with a reason. read more

Great integrity. Brought in two cars with depleted AC refrigerant. They did the simplest, most economic fix to both cars and were very upfront about the potential issues. Very trustworthy. read more

Sheens took our appointment for pre-sale inspection on short notice and was very reasonably priced ($100 less than what dealer quoted for same service). Sean and Joel were both extremely nice and informative. They found that the car battery was low and the possible cause of an ABS module error reading. Sean generously offered to re-inspect the car at no additional cost once the battery was replaced to see if the error disappeared. All of this was explained very clearly to us and the seller. At no time did Sean or Joel say the battery or ABS module needed to be replaced/repaired by them. In fact, both of them said a Mazda dealer would have to determine what the error code meant since they were unfamiliar with the details. The seller stated that once the battery was replaced at the dealership, the ABS error was resolved - EXACTLY what Sean said might happen. We was extremely happy with the service we received and wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

This is a great auto care place. I've been a customer here 19 years and I rely on Tom and Sean and the crew to keep my cars running great. I've had about 100 visits in the past 19 years. I'm totally satisfied with the work and professionalism. read more

These guys are awesome. Every time I've gone (3 times now) they are straightforward and they try to make visiting a mechanic as painless as possible. Everything was done perfectly, for a fair price and I've never had to go back 2 days later for an "unrelated incident" like I've experienced at other mechanics. I completely trust these guys. They're great. read more

Have taken my Volvo there for repairs and service. Have always left happy. I may have paid a touch more than shops closer to my residence but I know the guys at Sheens will back up their work. Case in point. Heater core went out and I didn't feel like getting the inside of the car all mucked up a second time so I took in to the shop. Dropped off in the morning and got a call around noon saying they were done. A week goes by, I'm in Chula Vista on a Saturday morning and the core decides to blow up. AAA will only cover towing for a set amount of miles and they are outside the coverage. Sheen's covers the cost of the tow, orders the part ( warranty ) and has me back on the road again Monday afternoon.Sadly, that core blows approximately one week later as well. this time I'm closer to the shop and AAA makes the tow. Same case. Part ordered and car done by noon. Turns out the batch of heater cores coming from the manufacturer was defective. All of this was done with no extra charges for labor or materials. They have since done my PCV system and timing belt. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

Fantastic auto service shop. The owner Tom is a solid stand-up guy, and Sean at the front desk is also great. They are dependable, trustworthy, and great mechanics as well. Can't speak enough good about the boys over at Sheen's Auto. I've been taking my car to them for a little under a year now, but with jobs ranging from simple oil changes to replacing motor mounts on my RSX. I really value their service because they use OEM parts, will use parts you bring in (though these do not have the warranty offered from the parts they provide, which is more than fair) and to receive what I feel is dealership-worthy maintenance for less than dealership price is a win-win! Sean (operating manager) is a great guy, and as previous posters have stated, they will let you know what's going on with your car, without pressure to make the move. Very honest, very fast, and my car rides like I just took it off the lot! As Sheen's was passed to me (by word of mouth) I too have referred people there, and will continue to do so! Fret not, check 'em out! read more

Was sent over here by the guys at TLC since I failed my smog test... Tom was able to help me out with an extensive project that involved repairing the wiring to the O2 sensor, and installing a new catalytic converter. Once again, 100% pleased with my experience here. My husband also recently had some body work done after an accident and was 100% pleased as well. We recommend Sheen's to everyone we know who wants a trustworthy mechanic (and who doesn't??) Thanks Sean! read more

This is the only place I will take my cars from here on out (I have two Fords). My wife has had negative experiences with nearly every mechanic she's ever encountered. She took her car here by chance (because of a AAA tow) and immediately felt comfortable with Sean and how he goes about business. We both appreciate his expertise (he fixed issues on my car that 3 other mechanics could not) and his ability to communicate the issue when we don't know much about cars. He has never been pushy, and has always made us feel that the decision of work to be done was completely ours. We will never take our cars anywhere else. You'll get fair prices and customer service that simply can't be beat. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more
