I have always entrusted several services to this Wolf's skilled mechanics, including fixing my air conditioning, headlights, and indicator light, as well as numerous oil changes. Each experience has been exceptional. I would suggest to take prior appoibtment tonavoid lengthy wait. With appointment, they always managed to work me in quickly. I always have exceptional service from Wolf's! I brought my Volvo in a few months ago to Mike, and he was super friendly & professional, explaining things in detail about my car which you only know at a level of true experience in the field. I then brought it back for a major repair on my AC Blower Motor, and worked with Steve- just as amazing of an experience than with Mike! Their quote saved me over $900 when compared with another foreign car mechanic in Kearny Mesa- and they did it faster & with no diagnosis fees! In fact, I saved so much with them, that I opted to add in some regular maintenance services I needed done as well. Thank you, Mike and team at Wolf's! I have not taken my car to Wolf's in years because I had a prepaid service package at the dealer that made all my service free for the last 6 years. That has now run out. And I'm back as a loyal Wolf's customer! I needed my 12V battery replaced in my Audi A3 etron and the dealer quoted me $1116 to replace it. They said the battery would be $518 and 2 hrs of labor would be $558 and then $40 for tax. I declined the service and called Mike. He said no problem, he would buy the battery from Audi for the same price but charge way less for the labor. I had the battery replaced today and was shocked that it was only $510. I said, "What about the labor?" Mike said it was included. I said the battery was $500+? He said it was actually only $325 when he got it at Audi today. I can't believe they tried to upcharge me by $193 for the same battery! Mike got it for $325 then it was only $160 in labor and about $25 in tax. I'm so shocked how he saved me over $600! It shows how shady the dealers are and how honesty and authenticity go a long way. read more

After a long, exhausting meticulous search for a honest, ethical, reliable, fair and reasonable priced, competent, experienced... independent car repair shop for my Audi German car, my friend and I discovered Wolf's Foreign Car Service. Owning my first Audi German luxury car, I knew I needed to have it serviced and maintained properly for the best performance and longevity. So I had to find the "right" repair shop and not just "any" repair shop. As a first time customer to Wolf's Foreign Car Service, I was immediately impressed with how well I was treated on my very first inquiry phone call with the owner, Mike Senn. Mike patiently and humorously explained and answered all my questions and concerns about his business and how he would personally take good care of my Audi car. I am very careful who I trust my new Audi German luxury car to service. I visited Wolf's to do my "due diligence" inspection prior to making an appt. After meeting Mike and actually seeing Wolf's repair shop, I was so satisfied to immediately schedule an appt. for my Audi. Although it took 3 weeks to get my appt. is actually a good thing as this sign of thriving car repair business with many happy customers. Mike Senn and his entire staff provided exceptional service on my 2024 Audi. They were all very polite, prompt, professional and efficient. Mike was honest, ethical, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, experienced with a great sense of humor explaining how he would service my Audi then gave me an honest repair estimate so I would know in advance the price. Mike performed the 20,000 mile service maintenance on my Audi and a major service maintenance on my friend's Audi as well. We were both very happy with their parts, labor and service work plus very fair and reasonable prices. Mike was totally honest, ethical and trustworthy throughout the entire service and repair process. He explained and showed me what needed to be repaired and why so I would understand any parts and labor costs. He only performed service that was necessary and required without up-selling or sales pressure to charge more money. In the auto repair business, this is very rare and a most pleasant surprise given how other auto repair shops operate, especially car dealerships. My Audi was completely done under 2 hours and the bill was even lower than the original estimate! Win-win for everyone!! Also my bill was at least 50-70% lower than Audi San Diego dealership price! The business has a comfortable customer waiting room with a restroom and strong Wi-Fi internet to go online for business or pleasure while waiting for your car to be serviced. I went to Wolf's after a few months of hearing a knocking sound from the front-bottom of my car. Before coming here, I had been going to a dealership since my parents have always done that. The dealer told me that the entire shaft of my car had to be replaced and that was what was causing the knocking sound, they quoted me $1900. Insane! On top of that, they took three days to just diagnose the car after I dropped it off and were asking for one week to fix the issue itself (which wasn't even the issue mind you). I then took the liberty to scout out an independent shop and I am so glad that I did and found Wolf's. I dropped my car off at 7:30AM on a weekday and got the call that it was fixed around 1PM, this was so shocking in the best way. When I came back to pick my car up, Mike was super kind to walk me through the issue and even brought me to the back to explain the parts that needed replacing and why. The kicker was it only cost $270 and the knocking sound never came back. As a young woman in her early 20's, I've always been super nervous about getting my car serviced because I know I could be taken advantage of easily without even knowing it. I don't think Mike understands how much it meant when he clearly and respectfully explained the issue with my car. I usually am talked to like I don't know anything and have even been chuckled at for asking silly questions at the dealerships - but I didn't feel an ounce of that at Wolf's. Wolf's is honestly the best! I've taken my car here for its 10-, 20-, and 30,000 mile services. Each time, I get nervous on how much I'd need to pay based on Mercedes's recommendation for each step of service. However, I've come out of Wolf's relieved each time as they are honest about what car does or does not need. I don't have to prepare myself as I used to before when I would go into the dealership for services. The place itself is small but there's a giant sign so you can't miss it. Usually I have my husband come with me so he can just take me back home or you can also just Uber back home or wherever you need to go. I don't think they offer uber/transfer services though I've never asked, so plan accordingly. When your car is in service, keep your phone with you since they call you for questions or updates. I really appreciate this so I know what to expect when I pick up my car. Also, call far in advanced since they get booked up fast! All in all, the owner Mike and his crew are excellent at what they do and I will continue to be a customer here! Highly recommend! read more

These guys had great customer service. However, I'm not going back to them. First, they are very busy and are booked 2 weeks out. So, I don't think they will miss my business. Clearly, they've gained a lot of trust from others. My struggle is their assessment, recommendation, and my car getting towed after the work they've done. Even after the tow, I ended up paying over $200 to get my car in working order to take to another mechanic. It may be due to how busy they are, they only have so much time to assess my car and make the safest recommendation for me (to prevent any liability on their part). That recommendation seemed to be the most expensive option. I would have preferred a more extensive inspection that not only reinforces their reasoning behind their recommendation, but they can offer a game plan on how to address these expensive repairs. I won't point faults of my car breaking down on them as I know my car has a lot of miles. However, I would have preferred them to replace older parts to reduce the risk of car troubles (which ended up happening). Maybe the stars didn't align well with these guys. Maybe my car is too old and needs more TLC from a mechanic who has more time. Either way, I'm sad to say I won't see them again. They were nice, very helpful, and gave a great amount of context on how some key components of an engine work. I appreciate their time. read more

This place is not that great. I hired them for an oil change and to fix an issue that felt like something with the exhaust, that was causing it to make a lot of noise. I had to lead them to the issue, and they still couldn't find it. I asked if they even looked and then they put it on the rack and found the hole in the muffler. They said they cant fix it and recommended a muffler shop. They charged me $288 for an oil change and to reluctantly investigate my vehicle, only to tell me what I already know and not fix the issue. When I left, I noticed two of my headlights and running lights were out. They are not thorough at all and hardly care about their customers vehicles or their safety. Avoid this place. read more

I brought in my low mileage 2017 Subaru Forester to have the brakes and fluids checked and after an hour's effort they charged me NOTHING because it needed nothing. Mike is great. Wolf's Foreign Car Service...a shop you can trust! I brought my car to Wolf's Foreign Car Service with two issues. My brakes were squeaking a bit and there was fluid leaking onto my garage floor (I thought it was oil). Within a couple hours, I received a call from Grant that the brakes are fine...I likely have 15K miles left on them and the fluid is actually transmission fluid and they suggested another shop that specializes in transmissions. He told me exactly where it was leaking from. About a month ago, I had a new transmission installed so I called that shop who said they could pick up the car from Wolf's the following day. Grant said it was no problem keeping the car with him overnight. Wolf's didn't charge me anything...zero...even though they took the time to inspect my car and tell me the issue. They could have easily told me about some work that needed to be performed and I wouldn't have known the difference. That's honesty and integrity!! But it gets better. My car was picked up by the transmission shop and the leak was fixed...and Michael (Wolf's owner) had them bring my car back to his shop (Wolf's)...they put it on the lift and ran the car for a bit to confirm the leak had been repaired. Again...no charge. Other service shops should take lessons from Wolf's. Honesty and integrity is an investment that pays future dividends. I'll only take my cars to Wolf's from now on. The check engine light on my Mazda 3 came on. I was really worried about what it might be. I read all the great reviews and decided to give Mike a call. I am so glad I did. I felt like he was very honest explaining to me how he was trouble shooting and giving me different options. I was able to pick up my car the next day. I ended up paying a fraction of what I budgeted. Bonus: he didn't charge me for the valve cover gasket that broke while they were replacing a part on it. Mike has a computer brain that can identify problems with your car in a matter of minutes. I took one of my cars (WV) to 3 other mechanics, and none of them knew what the problem was with my car. This spot is often booked out weeks ahead. If you're lucky enough to plan ahead come here for repairs. Mike is one of the last honest mechanics left in the business. He diagnosed an issue regarding my SUV that the dealer said they could not figure out. That's sad because the dealer is corporate and has more fancy tech and machines. Mike is an old school mechanic and will take the time to figure out what is wrong with your car. In my case he realized it was the starter and a few days later installed a top of the line starter at a price that was way more than fair compared to a dealer price (I checked the price at the dealer btw). I took my 2009 Volvo with 150,00 miles here for service I could hear the timing belt squealing and it was way overdue for replacement. The ABS light was lit. According to the drivers' manual I needed new spark plugs too. I had a routine service and needed new brakes all around. Maybe I should have asked more questions on this one but the brake pedal was very mushy. Mike the owner and I had a discussion about what I absolutely needed to be safe. We decided i didn't need a new ABS module because it never snows here and the roads are dry most of the time and I avoid driving when it does rain . The car was running fine so I opted not to have new spark plugs now. Mike is not only an amazing, experienced mechanic he is a wonderful and honest man. My husband has been taking our cars to him for about 15 years. I recently purchased what I believed to be a GREAT VW for my 18-year-old son. Mike looked the car over and did not sugar coat the message. The car was awful! I was fooled by the impeccable interior. I was willing to drop a few thousand into it and most places would have taken me up on that offer, but Mike was super upfront with me and even educated me on the law. I have a 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350 SUV with a problem involving the downstream oxygen sensor (Check engine light with code). I took it to two different garages, but neither could remove the sensor because it was so stuck. I then went to Wolf's, and they managed to replace the sensor in about an hour. Wolf's is the best! Trustworthy, experienced and honest. Had brought my BMW with pretty low milage into the BMW dealership to get an oil change, technician flagged a leaking rear strut, and wanted to charge $300 for just a diagnosis to see what the deal is. Basically $300 for lifting the car up, and potentially taking the wheels off. Keep in mind they had to lift the car up to change the oil anyways and the struts are exposed. Called Mike at Wolf's, on the phone he was "shocked" (pun intended) that I had a strut leak at a low mileage. So he had me bring the car into the shop w/o having to make an appointment, and took a look at it right away. 3 minutes later, he concluded that beyond some brake dust, there's nothing wrong with it. Saved me $300, and potentially a unnecessary $1,700 strut replacement. Will be going to Wolf's for all my maintenance and repairs going forward. read more
