My experience here at Sheena Kong's office is just with emface. I bought a package of 4 sessions of emface undereyes for $2000. I sadly experienced no improvement whatsoever. I booked and had my consultation with Dr. Kong. When I checked out from my consultation I double checked with front desk that I would be booked with Dr.Kong for all of my emface appointments. I was told all of them were booked with her, except for one because she would be out of town on that date but that she would make sure the other provider knew exactly what to do. After that consultation not one other appointment was with Dr.Kong. I came to this office because I did my research and wanted to go to someone who had a lot of experience with the machine. At one of my appointments the pads were placed so high up near my lash line that the pads put way too much heat that sensitive area. I didn't want to be dramatic but was calling for the provider for over a minute before she returned to the room. They said they would have me back 6 weeks after my last appointment to take after photos. Of course they did not, because they expected no improvement. I feel so scammed for spending $2000. *** If your goal was to talk me out of the investment, you would have succeeded. You told me it may not be dramatic, but that there would be improvement. I did not push my way through against your advice. Your office gladly booked the appointments and gladly took my money. This is a made up quote by me, because I never made that comment about the price. I also don't have hollowness under my eyes, I have a bag under one eye. I get Botox somewhere else but wanted to find somewhere closer. At my old place I get 20units near the edges of my eyes and right in between my eyebrows. When I met Dr. Kong and told her I wanted to get it on the sides of my eyes and for my frown lines in between my eyebrows she said she recommended 40 units!! I said no thank you, please just proceed with the 20. She said okay, but warned there would be movement still. Dr. Kong then put the botox on the sides of my eyes but then over my eyebrows and barely anything between my eyebrows. From the other places I have gotten Botox from, they have never put the Botox above my eyebrows for my frown lines? As a result, my crows feet are gone (which is good) but I still have frown lines!! I can't really move my eyebrows up and don't have forehead wrinkles but this is not what i asked for! I feel like the botox was purposely put in the wrong spot so my frown line would still move and be visible so she could upsell me double the amount I usually get. I'm not only upset at not getting what I wanted, but I don't understand how a doctor could do something completely different from what was requested. Very disappointed and upset. read more

UPDATE: Appreciate Dr. Sheena Kong's reply. Yes, the doctor did offer a refund in the middle of treatment, before the TE episode occurred, because the nurse was having issues drawing blood from my arm, so we thought that it would make sense for me to seek treatment elsewhere. My shedding at this stage was was mild. Mild shedding, such as that which occurs in the beginning of treatment, is an expected part of any hair loss treatment. New hairs push out the old hairs to make room for new growth. You would expect to see this with minoxidil, spironolactone, LLLT, or any other method. However, shedding that is experienced after 3 months of treatment and for what has now been 4 months is indicative of Telogen Effluvium, and this was not experienced at the time we discussed a refund. Nonetheless, TE still occurred and this was not communicated as a possibility. It's great that Dr. Kong is now communicating this on Yelp, but it was not communicated to me prior to treatment. We did not discuss this as any sort of risk. I would happily accept a refund at this stage now that I experienced a side effect that was not presented to me at the time of treatment, should it be offered. I will update the community should the offer ever be presented. read more

Dr. Sheena Kong is absolutely AMAZING. I went in for a consult November 2019 to inquire about smartlipo for my arms. I was on a weight loss journey and it was obvious that my arms were not shrinking with the rest of my body. This is by far the worst consultation experience I have. What's more sad is that I didn't even talk to Dr. Kong. My appointment was at 1PM. I arrived early. After I checked in, I took a seat and waited for my appointment. In the interim, the front desk kept talking to another nurse. Until it's five past 1 and I was supposed to be called or be told should Dr. Kong is running late. But NO ONE let me know nothing like I wasn't exist. So I stood up and asked when should my appointment begin. Now they realized there is still a person waiting in the room. The nurse said oh Dr. Kong is running late now. I asked, how late? She said about half an hour. I was shocked. Well, let's put a side how poorly they manage appointments logistically, let's just focus on the way they communicate. Not very responsible Dr. she did a skin test of the Bella fill on my forearm on OCTOBER 7th , after that rash all over my skin , today is Nov 23rd still don't goes away, literally from head to toes . Called them n sent them pics , Dr. Kong gave me some prescription pills on Oct 12th to helps the rash . After another 2 weeks Nov 1st . Which almost 1 month rash still all over , called them back n talked w the Dr. I was scared Becuz the rash is so itchy and swelling and red . She said only happens to a lady only last 1 week n since I was crying over the phone , she said she will called the company and asked what ingredients that make rash all over me. Today is Nov 23 rd , I never heard from her or called to following up . Let me preface this with- if you're considering getting smartlipo with Dr.Kong don't hesitate she made every dollar worth it. I waited months to write this review to make sure that it was completely accurate and I actually don't go out of my way to review other business at all- that's how compelling this experience was. I used to be overweight and and then lost 50 pounds one area that was stubborn and refused to snap back were my arms and specifically that pocket of fat and skin at the very top. I went in and she told me everything I needed to know she kept it realistic, informative, and in no way pushy or gimmicky. I'm surprised to read that anyone thought she was off about POC I'm an African- American woman and didn't get even the SLIGHTEST vibe of that. I think people may be used to fluffy bows and whistles during consultations and for me that's actually a clear sign I should rethink that doctor. She offers in house covid testing and I decided to get it done there. Everyone at the office is super careful and meticulous about wiping down the counters and keeping sanitizer readily available. Fast forward to a few months after smartlipo on my arms and I really wish I did it sooner. Way better definition, no sagging skin, and overall so smooth. She honestly gave me my dream arms. It's a honor to write my memorable experience for this review. I recommend Dr. Sheena Kong again and again.  Dr. Kong and her invaluable staff have joined together as my team for the past 2 years.  In 2016, I was in a head-on car crash where I was targeted. Half my hair "shocked out" and lay all over my driver's seat.  The paramedic and I thought there was a cat lying dead on the seat. It was my hair on my scalp underside mostly and also on top. What a shock on top of the accident shock!  The road back took a years.  My limb and balance is mostly restored. Emotion (PTSD) "repairs" were helped with EMDR. My hair never returned.  It was hard to hear repeated comments from loved ones. They were startled to see the volume of hair gone.  They were aghast.  With immense gratitude, I found Dr. Kong after much research and tears on how to get my hair back.  PRP hair restoration was going to be the last hope. My research showed that Dr. Kong was super skilled and her price schedule was fair. The initial consultation was very thorough.  I've been to initial consultations before.  They were brief with the physician and quick to point me to the practice manager, who held the fee list and the push to sign for packages.  At Dr. Kong's office, the emphasis was on the procedure that would most fit my need; on what I needed technically and emotionally; if she could do it or if I needed another type of specialist; and on trying the procedure and seeing how I felt about it.  In my case, the PRP procedure was needed; and it could be done! By that point, I could decide if I wanted a package of treatments if I was happy with the procedure. There was no push for a package as soon as I stepped into the office.  Dr. Kong was clear about the severity of the hair loss; and, therefore, what it would take to show significant improvement.  She was clear that there would not be an instant "drive-through" experience.  Realistically, it would be a skilled, engaged process over time; an evolution.  She did a cross check to be sure that my expectation would match what she could do. (Super important with all types of procedures. This honesty is super essential between patient and physician from the start.) Something for the extra mile: Dr. Kong was careful to regard my financial situation, given the hard hit to my employment for a couple of years after the accident.  Thus, spacing the treatments in ways that would be highly effective over a realistic timeline was a true gift of consideration.  I'd interviewed in a few other practices. They all pushed the procedures and expense over a brief period. While this was revenue generating for the practices, it was not putting the individual needs and situation of the patient first. As you're reading this, I realize there's a lot of information in the story.  This is because its been a realistically long journey to restore the range of damage. Dr. Kong and her staff really listened showed immense dedication and respect, and brought me forward to in the next hopeful chapter of my Next Best Life! Today, I'm so appreciative.  There's hair domination instead of scalp. Remember, this wasn't the case when I stepped into Dr. Kong's practice in 2019.  Plus, I was carrying with me sadness and memories that I wanted to move past.  Hair has a big presence in our lives.  So, the painful reminder of what had changed my life so drastically was a daily reminder in the mirror, even though it was coupled with an immense gratitude to be alive. Now, PRP doesn't last a lifetime; nor does anyone's natural hair.  Currently, my PRP treatments are in the maintenance phase.  This means treatment is far less frequent.   Dr. Kong's skill, precision, and big heartedness has brought me to this refreshed and rejuvenated next chapter.  Loved ones and friends remark and are thrilled.  So is Dr. Kong's team.  Everyone there is invested in the happiness that this---and the many other practice procedures bring to us patients.  Dr. Kong and her Team are not working a jobs, they're partnering in a mission to help with quality of life. I live with a auto-immune disease that causes fat to build up and requires a procedure she does for patients all the time. Smart lip of the lower face and jaw line and possibly some skin tightening. Women with no underlying issues have this done weekly. This is the third time I have been dismissed by her and feel that she is discriminating against people who have to live with the unfortunate morphological changes that comes with an auto-immune disease. It is difficult nowadays to find a doctor that will actually take the time to listen to your concerns. 4 stars because I really did like Dr. Kong a lot, and she was very compassionate (I'm surprised by other reviews saying she wasn't - I thought she was great). My main issue is that Kybella, the treatment I had performed, did absolutely nothing for me other than leave me extremely swollen for weeks and create scar tissue. She had suggested at the time that I didn't need submental liposuction, but realistically it's exactly what I needed to get rid of my chin/jowl/neck flab. Fast forward to this week when I finally had that done, and my plastic surgeon had to make his way through the scar tissue the Kybella created. I would urge folks to think twice before spending money on non-surgical solutions (Kybella, Coolsculpting, etc.) where the surgical solution is often the better option. In the end, you'll just end up spending the same amount of money anyway...or if you end up doing both, twice the amount like me. read more

Dr. Kong and her staff are very wonderful, but I'm a little disappointed in the procedure I had done. I did the smartlipo on my inner thighs. I'm not a heavy person, but that has always been my problem spot. She said she didn't want them to indent and look funny so she opted out of removing as much fat as I would have liked and what we had talked about. Now, six months later and you can hardly tell anything was done. I've even done extra exercises to try and help shape them, but I honestly feel like I wasted all that money. I know it can take time to really show, but you'd think I'd see a bit of a difference six months out..I really wish she would've taken all the fat out like we had discussed. read more
