Melissa has flat out told me "No" to this process and that she does not recommend it for my hair. Also, Keratin treatments are NOT known to be in Dominican Hair Salons but more so at Brazilian hair salons. After all the damage caused to our hair during the summer months due to the sun, pool and beach I can always come back to this Salon and know that Melissa will bring life back to it. She was able to tell how my hair comes in kind of wavy/curly by looking at the roots (since it was straighter due to being weighed down before) and adjusted the cut accordingly. When I asked for bangs, even without knowing exactly how I wanted them to look, she gave me some that suit my face shape really well. Lashelle took me back to wash my hair - she was so gentle and thorough, especially because my scalp is on the drier side during the winter. I went through the process of calling and asking for it to be fixed, which is already super awkward but I paid for a service with a certain expectation, and they also naturally have you go back to the person who made the mistake which is again, awkward. She wasn't able to, or willing to, fix my hair, just made it a little less drastic and advised me to wear my hair in a totally new and different style than my norm because it would hide her error. She also then refused to dry it unless I wanted to pay for a separate blow out, so it wasn't as obvious to me how little she fixed since I left with damp hair.
