I came to this restaurant twice. I have made the same exact order twice. The first time I paid $29 it was around 9pm. However, the second time the other guy charged me $41.25 around 1pm. I asked for receipt I got one without a details, just the final balance. Although I used to come here before, but I will never come back here again. (The guy who takes late shift is honest). My order was: 1 beef shawarma sandwich 1 chicken shawarma sandwich 2 greek fries 1 pepsi, 1 yogurt milk. I still don't understand $41.25 for what. I hate to give this place a low rating, but I've had problems with delivery (from an app) from here twice now (this one specifically, not the other location). Twice when I've ordered a "combo" with a drink and fries they are not included even though it is clearly listed on the receipt taped to the bag. In addition, the other night when I ordered a veggie combo plate, it was nothing like the ones I've ordered before or like anything listed on the menu....it was some grilled onions and eggplant on rice with some hummus and baba thrown together in the same section of the container and some shredded lettuce in the other. No pita included as it always is, so no way to eat the hummus/baba "mixture". I wouldn't rule out eating here in person as you're able to see what you're getting, but definitely not ordering delivery again. read more

One of the best places in Seattle to get authentic Middle Eastern food; in this case Egyptian cuisine. The flavors are way more refined than the fast food kebab joints that are around town. The chicken shish kebab sandwich is worth the 20 minute wait, especially with extra pickles and a combo of garlic and hummus sauces. The lentil soup is so fresh and complex with Egyptian spices, and the lamb shank rocks. Try the grilled combo platter for a taste of many treats. Hands down the best shawarma in Seattle. And that's saying something given how many quality places there are in the U District in particular. Delicious shawarma, friendly and fast service, as well as good atmosphere in the restaurant define this Shawarma King location. Just be careful to not get mixed up with the location just down the Ave on 43rd! Also, those are not ketchup bottles on your table. They have as much mouthwateringly spicy delicious homemade hotsauce as your taste buds can handle! read more

Solid F'ng falafel. It does not suck. The falafel itself is crispy on the exterior, with a good crunch. The interior has just the right amount of moisture, with a pleasant mix of lettuce and tomatoes, and without too much sauce. I haven't had many of the other options in a long while, though I remember the Kofta kabab being top notch (at their old location down the block). Perhaps it's because I was visiting from NYC, but their shawarma was underwhelming. On a $12 chicken-lamb shawarma combo plate, the chicken was passable but the lamb was stiff and flavorless and likely microwaved (something was microwaved). The pita on the side had a great texture though. The service is friendly enough. read more

Originally I thought this place would just be like those Mediterranean restaurants everywhere since I just want a quick lunch. But surprisingly it was beyond my expectation, their food was quite authentic and they prepared it nicely. I ordered Softa Kebab which usually takes 10-15min according to the cook but it took me as long as 20min to wait. Spacious inside and clean tables. Eh.. I've had better shawarma's. Tried them twice, hoping the first go around was a one off, but unfortunately it was disappointing as well. The meat (tried beef and later lamb) was under seasoned. Of all the similar locals in U District this one is my favorite, I think the staff is really nice. The food is the fresher than many of the other establishments. Also it has a nice interior for meeting with a small group to grab food. My favorites are the Greek salad, gyro plate, and the mixed veggie tray! read more

Great new location higher up on the ave! When I am not limited by walk distance, I would probably prefer this location more, as it is cleaner and just a nicer spot to dine in (I usually togo at the other location). Food quality was still great and the gyro/shawarmas I tasted were spot on. The water tasted a bit weird though so just let them know if it tastes funky. Parking is more accessible on this part of the ave too, so I am ever more tempted to get some shawarma more often read more

They have the Best French fries in Seattle! The fries have unique seasoning and crisp texture. The food is always delicious, well seasoned and exactly what we expect. Menu says $6.99 for a shawarma sandwich. You just tried to charge me $15.99. I work half a block away, and I will never ever go back. I've had a lot of experiences there that were pretty okay, and those sandwiches were pretty good, but you try to cheat me one time I'm not ever going back. read more

Ordered through Yelp, then drove there a few minutes later. Despite getting lost (not a local) and having to find parking the order was not only not ready, it was not started when we got there. Had the lamb shawarma plate. Overall the dish was a bit salty from the meat to the hummus. Maybe I should have ordered a sandwich instead.

By far the best middle Eastern food I ever had authentic Egyptian food great customer service they treated my family and I like royalty.
