I've been to this fairly new shawarma place a few times in the past few months. I really wish this place was a lot closer to where I live as I would make weekly trips here or at least every other week! There are a lot of shawarma places out there for sure but this one has delicious eats for amazing prices! The current promo is $8 for 2 regular sized shawarmas (or falafel wraps) or you can get a generously stuffed shawarma plate for the same price. I usually get the chicken shawarma, falafel wrap or the mixed plate, which are all flavourfully stuffed with choice of protein, veggies, seasonings, rice, hot sauce and garlic sauce. I really hope they keep this deal for a long time as you get so much for what you pay for - such a steal! It takes some time for food to be made after ordering at the register but it's worth the wait as the staff are nice and their food always tastes so fresh and looks carefully put together. Give this place a try!

Dropped by this after seeing all the good reviews as a post workout meal. Given that even fast food and cheap meals costs $9+ tax these, to see something under $8 was quite refreshing. I ordered the falafel plate (w/o garlic sauce - as that contains dairy) for $7.99. It came with 6 falafels, a heaping portion of rice (which wasn't plain white rice, but it seemed to be possibly long grain or basmati rice?) and the standard Mediterranean vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, radish, pickles, tabouleh, etc.) and hot sauce. I thought the meal was quite tasty but not overly greasy (unlike some places that serve similar dishes). The falafels were cooked very well too. Overall, it's another great option in the area for cheap eats and semi healthy. Would visit again. Workers are also very friendly too.

File under: GOOD, cheap eats! This place is really close by and I've driven past their "2 FOR $7.99 SHAWARMA WRAPS" sign a few times. I read good Google reviews, but I'm always skeptical so I had to try it for myself! Absolutely no complaints about their 2/$7.99 wrap special! I was able to substitute a falafel instead of another shawarma. Sizes were quite big, hot sauce is fairly HOT. Not "White man" hot. Man who took my order was friendly and had a smile. The rest of their menu is quite affordable, considering their competitors price. I'm guessing it's low for now as they just recently opened. I'll definitely be back to check out the rest of their menu!

I love this place!! Just wanted to say that off the bat. The shawarma scene in Mississauga has been sad lately with the closure of many solo spots & the downfall of many of the big chains. There are such few restaurants now that give you fresh, quality food that is worth the continually rising prices. Whenever I go to a Middle Eastern restaurant, I usually order a platter. I love that it gives you a variety of a carb with salads, dips & pickle in one plate that you can enjoy your way. For me it's also a way to check the level of freshness & authenticity the restaurant is offering. Shawarma Flavors has been open for just 3 months in a busy auto mall near Mavis & Dundas. When I went, there were a few takeout customers waiting for orders and the owner was prepping everything with another employee. Service was fast and happy - they were both so nice and happy to add extra garlic (love!). I got a mix platter (chicken & beef) to go which had half rice & half salad (tossed & tabouleh) as the base with the meat & sauces on top. It was prepared with care - the rice & meat were hot, salads were cool & crisp, the dips weren't flat or watery like a lot of other places. I noticed that even the turnip pickles were better quality than what I've been getting at bigger chains! It was a big, full platter for $7.99+tax - wheeeeere can you see prices like that for a good meal??? I really enjoyed every bite! They have a special going on right now - 2 shawarma wraps for $7.95 which sounds great too! Judging by the platter, I'm sure the wraps will also be made well. Will definitely be back with more people to try other items from the menu!

The place looks neat and tidy, good little shawarma place ! We just had the 2 for 7.99$ shawarma wrap.. was good, can be better ! The wrap was on the drier side lacking the sauces. Good for the price I would say can do a lot better !

A few dishes were recommended, but I was told the Koshari is beloved in Egypt, so that's what I ordered. Be prepared for a bit of a carb coma, but it's absolutely worth it. It was delicious. The mix of pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions worked surprisingly well together, especially with the sauces they give you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Toronto.

I am usually that person who does this like lamb as much coz of the smell but trust me when I say, this was the softest and juiciest no-smell lamb I have ever had. It was melt-in-your-mouth soft and packed with flavor! The rice portion was enough for 2-3 people to share depending on how hungry you are. It also comes with fried onions and potato on the rice. The chicken and lamb mixed mandi was good too but honestly after trying the lamb, I was sold! However, I did like the rice on the chicken mandi better than the lamb one. I thought it tasted better. The place was quite busy and it's an order-at-counter system they follow but the food was brought in quickly which is appreciated.

When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

Tarboosh Restaurant wasn't on my radar at all, but after Suresh Doss gave it a hearty…read morerecommendation, we figured we should stop by and check it out. We arrived around noon on a recent Saturday and the place was completely empty. A group of four fairly loud men showed up shortly after us and inexplicably sat at a table near us, but that's obviously not the restaurant's fault. The menu contained plenty of tasty-looking entrees, but I figured I'd grab the dish with the name of the restaurant in it: the Tarboosh ("Combination of shawarma and falafel"). The concoction arrived to the table quite a while later, which was weird considering how empty the joint was, and sure looked impressive. I dove right in. Everything on the plate was tasty but not mind-blowing. The chicken shawarma had a few crispy pieces, which was appreciated, but was mostly unreasonably dry. (The two included sauces helped with that, at least.) The falafel was fresh but strangely light. It didn't really have a strong flavor of anything, really. I enjoyed eating it, but it definitely didn't remind me of traditional falafel. The hummus was creamy but lacking in a strong chickpea flavor (i.e. the concoction was overwhelmed by tahini, essentially). However, once I began eating everything together, I began enjoying everything a lot more. The included bread help, too, even though it was far from the best middle-eastern bread I've ever had. Tarboosh is a mixed bag, that's for sure. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I don't think I would travel to far to check it out, though.
