I drive 40 forty minutes every 2-3 weeks to see these guys. Best barbershop I've ever been to! Incredible service and skill set to match! Trying to figure out how to convince these guys to move up to Washington State when I move back in December. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment today! read more

It's tough to find a good barber. I'm glad I ran into Sharp. My girlfriend and I needed to go grocery shopping at the Safeway across the street, so I figured I'd stop by to see if they had time for me. I lucked out and was able to be squeezed in. The guys definitely made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. Aside from the haircut, I'd say one of the great things about them is the consistency in customer service. It seems like it's part of their routine to have a pretty thorough consultation with their customers before they start cutting hair. I for one really like that they push to make sure that both the client and the barber are on the same page about the customer's expectations. I got a haircut by Sheldon and he took a few minutes to hear what I wanted and then described what he was going to do to achieve that. A few moments into my haircut, the barber sitting next to him (I think his name is EJ) had a customer sit in his chair. He went through the same talk with his client about the haircut he wanted. I think that's great. It makes me feel good that I can go to any of them and get the same service. The last person I went to for a haircut kept on insisting that what I wanted wasn't "right" for me. I just wanted a light trim and the back to be a "bald taper". (A new term I learned care of Sharp) Service is a big thing for me and when you push to exceed my expectations, you pretty much have me as a customer for life. read more

I drive all the way from San Francisco to get my haircut here by Sheldon weekly. By far the best haircut I have ever had. I get compliments multiple times daily. Ej is also good for walk ins. Great customer service, they really care and make you feel comfortable and take pride in what they do. Definitely worth checking out! read more

$30 for a haircut ??? Really . No thanks. No Cards Accepted either. Asked for light trim came out with almost no hair.

These guys are great!!!! It is hard to find a barber that actually knows what they are doing and my search ended after I meet Elliot at SHARP. Prices are great, shop is clean and elegant. No getto stuff. Thanks guys read more

Top notch barber shop! Cool vibe, friendly and helpful barbers! All of them are highly qualified and great hair artists!

After years of cutting my husbands hair, suddenly the business is gone...Annie, where have you gone? My guess is as usual, Lafayette has jacked the rents up so high that Style Cuts had to leave. I called the company who manages the building, he was really strange when I asked him if he knew where Annie went. He told me that she is semi-retired and went back to Vietnam...Well, I called Annie, it was hard to understand what she was saying, but she said that she will return March 5th. So when I find her, I will be so happy. read more

EJ hooked me up. He was very thorough and took his time. It's hard to find a good barber and these guys know what they're doing. Def will be back read more

Terrible looking haircut also he didn't turn me to look at the mirror so I could tell him what to do also he didn't listen and cut it exactly how I didn't want it and now I look stupid and hate myself for getting a haircut read more

Very impressed with the place and every member of their staff. Without a doubt, the best professionals I've been to. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had a haircut and beard trim with EJ. He takes the time to look at your hair and your head and asks questions. He then explains exactly what he going to do before he cuts. End result was great! Very happy! Great central location in Lafayette and easy parking right in front. Very friendly guys. read more

Sharp barbershop is in a class to itself. The barbershop is "old school" class! Sheldon and EJ go out of their way to see that customers are treated well. They can teach a class on customer service and professionalism. In other words, there is no other barbershop in he Eastbay that can match their standards. I am a returning customer. read more

Sheldon and crew will always give you a great haircut. Sheldon always listens carefully to his customers to make sure you get what you were looking for. read more

Sheldon has been cutting my hair for years (I think 6-7). I have a simple cut as I'm losing my hair, but that doesn't matter to Sheldon, as his attention to detail has always left me feeling like I'm looking good as I walk out the door. He's taken that same attention to detail and poured it into starting his own barber shop, and it shows. It's just getting off the ground now, so I encourage you to walk in and check it out. I met his fellow barber EJ and he seemed really cool as well. The vibe is clean, relaxed, retro. There are 5 chairs so definite room to grow. Beyond the vibe, which is great, you have talented barbers who will welcome you and make you feel comfortable. Ever walk into a barber shop and feel scrutinized or unwanted? Like they don't want walk ins, or like you just don't fit in with the particular culture of that shop? It's happened to me but I assure you that you won't feel that here. I can't recommend Sheldon, EJ, and SHARP Barber Shop enough! read more

Excellent service. Really excellent service. Usual 2018, pricey Lafayette, barber prices.

Fantastic place with great service! Nice atmosphere, the guys really know what they're doing. Great attention to detail & they take pride in what they do. I tried going to some other barber shops in the area, but they all seem to cater to thugs & gangstas, I never actually got any service, just sat there being ignored while they waited on every one else .Razors is a shop for gentlemen (& ladies too, there was a girl getting a cut when I went in). My hair looks awesome, E.J. Takes good care of me & I will not go anywhere else. read more

Forget all the fluff. All that needs to be said is that this shop employs some of the best barbers around. They take the time to learn and understand your specific style, and can tailor it to how you like it. Specifically Angelo, I have followed him from when he was a barber in San Francisco, 5/5 would recommend to anyone looking for a seriously sharp haircut. (Forgive the pun) read more

My friend referred me to Angelo to get my hair cut. I have tried several different barbers, and I have to say hands down Angelo has done the best job! I was very impressed with how it turned out. Has good technique and smooth with his cuts. Overall the shop has a very classy barber vibe to it and love the location. I will definitely only go here for my cuts. Give Angelo a try, you won't be disappointed. Helps to call in advance to get an appointment as he keeps busy. read more

Everyone here is awesome. On par with the spots on the other side of the tunnel. EJ and Sheldon are badass.

Got a below-average haircut the first time I went there. I stopped going there for a few months, I decided to give them a second chance just because the location is close to my residence. The second time was even worse, it started with the wait time. I was seen 13 mins after my scheduled appointment and not a single "we apologize for the delay", "we'll be right with you" or a simple "do you need water or something else to drink". I asked E.J. specifically for a taper and got nothing close to that. No attention to detail at all and was done in 15 mins (when a regular barber takes 25-30mins). During my haircut another client came in (who seemed like a regular) went straight to a chair and was offered a beer literally as he was seating down. That's when I felt like I was not being taken seriously. I know that I don't fit their demographics and I'm ok with that, it's a private business and they can help whoever they like, but it's just disappointing to realize that I was treated like my business there was inferior to others. read more

Definitely a great place to go! Very relaxed atmosphere. The biggest thing for me was the fact they listen to what you want done if you know what you want. But also help you pick somthing if you dont. Going back forsure read more

Sharp is a great place to get your haircut. They give you a very nice price for a very nice haircut. The people there are really nice. They also offer you beer as well, how cool is that!! This might be my new barber shop for now on! read more

I took my 12 year old son here to see Dustin. He did an amazing job and made my boy feel so great. The attention to detail and the communication he had with my son was awesome. Can't wait to go back! Love that this business is here in Lafayette!! read more

Awesome spot. EJ is the man. Great haircut and solid atmosphere.

This place is awesome. EJ did a great job. Great atmosphere and a great cut. Won't be going anywhere else but Sharp. Highly recommend!

Best barber experience ever. Brought in my 16 yo son who needed a real cut. The whole experience was great, guys were very welcoming and did a fabulous job. Love supporting our local businesses. Thank you!! read more

My 10-year old son is very picky about his hair. Seriously picky. We found Sharp through Yelp, made an appointment with EJ and I now have a very happy & good looking son. He says it's the best hair cut he's ever had. EJ really took the time to get to know my son, what he likes and the way his hair grows. Lots of adult men coming in and out of the shop, too, all with great looking hair. read more

I just had a cut with Ann. It was well done and I'd highly recommend her. Usually when I try to explain what I want I can hear myself and even I'd agree I don't make any sense but she understood and offered suggestions and the cut came out like I wanted. The place is small but has a nice clean and calm atmosphere. It's like half way between a fancy boutique salon and a super cuts without the chain store feel. I had a cup of green tea and looked through some nice magazines while I waited. Very nice and very affordable. read more

If you're looking for the best haircut in town this is the place to have it done. Shelden and EJ are on top of their beard cuts. Wouldn't trust anybody else to cut my hair after the first cut you can see the difference. read more

I've been going to Gabe for almost 3 years now and I hope I'll never have to go anywhere else! The cuts are always exactly what I'm looking for and he's helpful when I'm looking for a change in a haircut. Great guy, great haircuts! read more

Well, haven't been to a barber shop in over 30 years. Started growing a beard about a year and a half ago. Never trimmed it. Went online, read reviews, came here. EJ listened, (#1 customer service component), allayed my fears, and did a very good job. Trimmed my beard and hair the way I wanted it done at the right price. Cool deal. Happy Camper. Amen. read more

I made an appointment 3 days in advance, when I showed up for a haircut the barber had already left for the day. He canceled the appointment on me without any notice. Regardless what his justification was; it's just not professional to not be there after confirming an appointment. He could have called me to let me know that he will have to change my appointment to some other day due to what ever reason, and I would have been totally fine with that. No doubts, all the barbers are super nice and welcoming. But sorry guys I can't give business to a place that don't value my time. read more

2 years ago, I stumbled into a shop and Sheldon gave me the best haircut I've ever had. 2 years later, Sheldon and his team are running the most legit gentlemans barber shop in the game. No one is in the same ballpark as these guys. Professional staff, prime time location, and legit setup are only a few of the catch phrases to describe this barbershop juggernaut. Don't hesitate. Pull the trigger and get a haircut from these guys. read more

I've known these guys for quite sometime. I am very picky with my simpl cut and line up but EJ takes his time every time to make sure I'm looking GQ everytime I leave. I haven't been back to a supercuts or great Clips since I started going to Sheldon to start, now EJ lines me up. The atmosphere is awesome and they both provide a very soothing experience. It is important to have a bond with your Barber, one which Sheldon and EJ provide. That is the reason I keep coming back. That and no one can do as good a job as them that I've seen. read more
