I can't say enough about the incredible experience I've had at this barber shop! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming vibe from the barbers (whether they're busy choppin' it up while cuttin' their clients, and/or the ones that are in the back table eating lunch. The staff here is not only skilled in their craft but also incredibly courteous, friendly, and professionally personable! I've gotten a 'clean up cut' here from Frank (who happened to be on his first day at the shop when I had came in for my first time back in August), and I've been impressed with the level of his professionalism and attention to detail. He takes the time to understand exactly what you want, and the end result is always spot-on. But what sets this place apart is the fact that it's not just a barber shop. It's a family-oriented establishment where you can socially unwind, in addition, to being able to get a craft beer or a shot of hard liquor as a complimentary beverage for you to enjoy! How awesome can that already be! What's even more commendable is their commitment to creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone. They are alphabet mafia friendly, which means you can be your authentic self here without any fear or hesitation. It's a place where diversity is celebrated, and everyone is welcome. In summary, this barber shop is a hidden gem in the heart of Lafayette that offers spectacular service, a chill vibe, unmatched skill, all in a delightful barber shop experience. Whether you're looking for a great haircut or a cozy place to just stop by & say what's up, this place has it all. I can't recommend it enough! read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR OUR CLIENTELE: My name is EJ, I am one of the barbers here at SHARP. As we approach our 1yr anniversary I begin to reflect on the growth we have had to date and it seems so surreal. Lafayette (Lamorinda) has been so accepting of our culture and every footstep in this shop is amazing to see. So many of you have referred countless friends and family, some after just one visit. Success like this further proves to us that we made the absolute best choice to open SHARP Barbershop. I would also like to thank you all for your patience as we are growing faster than we can supply barbers but please know that we do not take on just any barber with a set of clippers and a license. We thoroughly vet our potential Barbers. So when you sit in their chair you can rest assured we all care about your hair just as much if not more than you do and will give the hair cut you deserve. We look forward to years of have you each in our chair, THANK YOU to each and every one of you guys and gals. After moving from San Francisco, I was on the hunt for a barbershop that felt right, not just a place to get a haircut, but somewhere with the right energy. Sharp Barbershop absolutely delivered. Great location, easy access, and the kind of shop vibe that makes you want to hang out for a bit. It's clean, professional, and welcoming without feeling overproduced. Good people, authentic conversations, and a strong sense of community, exactly what you hope to find when you're new to town. I've been seeing Robert, and he's been outstanding. He consistently makes sharp cuts, pays attention to detail, and takes the time to get it right. Beyond the haircut, the conversation is easy and genuine. He listens, remembers what you like, and makes sure you walk out looking squared away and feeling confident. If you're looking for a barbershop in Lafayette that combines skill, atmosphere, and solid people, this is it. And if you book, ask for Robert. You won't be disappointed. read more

Beyond the haircut, Parker creates a great overall experience -- relaxed atmosphere, good conversation, and top-tier service. Had cuts every two weeks here since the place opened. Everything you want in a shop, and none of the nonsense. Call ahead for sure. When the barber pole is spinning in front, they accept walk-ins. I think they have an online or text type reservation system also. Genuinely friendly people, staff and clients. Good networking in here too, never know who is going to walk in the front door. Full service-type treatments here feel like a complete package. Very clean shop, safe for families. read more

I've been getting cut by Sheldon for almost 5 years now. He's always kept me looking right, and getting me back on track when I've had to travel and miss haircuts for long periods of time. He doesn't treat you like a client, he treats you like family. That's the same kind of attitude he took towards opening this shop, both in setting up the atmosphere and recruiting the barbers. If you need a quality cut in the bay area with a true classic barbershop feel, this is the spot for you. read more

Was in dire need of a cut and it's really hard to find someone that can deal with my crazy curly hair. Extremely happy that JB was the one to handle my appointment. He helped get what I wanted visually and improved it. He is really personable and easy to talk to. Literally the best hair cut I've had in a long time. I'm really happy with it. The facility is very clean and they are taking pandemic precautions seriously as well. Will be coming back and forsure booking with JB again! read more

Angelo is my barber and has always done a fantastic job. I followed him to this shop from my previous barbershop. He is great at listening to what I am thinking about but also adds his professional opinion and thoughts, regarding my hair. I could tell the other 2 barbers are top notch and I really dig the whole vibe of this shop. read more

Highly recommend booking an appointment with Robert. Had grown my hair out a bit and asked for a professional gentleman's haircut and he did an amazing job. The shop is really cool, with beer and coffee on tap with a long bar and tv's, definitely one of the coolest barbershops I've been in. Will be booking again soon. read more
