    Keystone Propane Service

We are Very Disappointed with Keystone Propane~ Back in…read moreearly 2024 we had an On Demand Generator installed and Purchased 2 (two) 120 gallon Tanks from Keystone and had them install them and fill them~ Since Then we have had them come out twice to put propane in them~They will come and do the tanks if they are at 50% or Less, (which makes sense) and have not had any problems with them coming to do this in a timely manner~ We Once again (in 2026) Decided to get another On Demand Generator for our Building which has a separate electric meter~ So we Contacted Rinker Inc. again (in Nov. of 2025)-(who we would Highly Recommend, They are a Great Company, and the People who Work there are Fantastic and very Helpful) and we set up and Appointment/Day for them to come out and put the Generator in, which was Jan. 19, 2026~ So we Contacted Keystone Propane (in Nov. 2025-talked to Kara) told her that we were getting another On Demand Generator put in by our building/barn (Jan. 19, 2026) and would like to purchase another 120 gallon tank (and Rinker inc. had also contacted them and gave them the date) and have them install and connect it~ The week before the 19th of January, (on a Monday) We had Not Heard anything from Keystone Propane, so we called a few times and left messages for them to reach out to us, and received No Call~ So we called Rinker inc. and Julio said he would call them~ He called us back and said that Kara would be calling us on Wednesday or Thursday~Thursday came and we still did not hear anything, so around 3pm we called and got Kara and she said "Oh, we are going to have to push it to the next week (the week of the 26th Jan.) The Next week came and by Thursday we called again, this time we talked to "Tammy" Oh, we are so Booked up, not sure when we can do it, did not realize that it was a new installation (BS) They Did Know that it was a New Installation~We told her that "we did not think that was very fair, since we had set this up back in November of 2025" She hemmed and hawed and then told us that the soonest that they could do it was "Friday February 20th, 2026" (Very Frustrating) So We called 16th or 17th (Feb.) to find out what time on the 20th and talk to a Guy that said we were on the schedule for the 20th and someone would call us on Thursday the Day before to let us know what time they would be there~Thursday around 3pm we had not heard anything so we called and "Tammy" answered~When I Told her someone was suppose to call us to let us know a time for the following day, she said (and I Kid You Not!) "We Do Not Have You on the Schedule" I Said "Tammy!...You are the One Who Set the Schedule for the 20th!" She Hemmed and Hawed Again, Then told me that she would have to call me back (Smh) I Looked at My Husband and Said "I am Calling Rinker's and talk to Julio" which I did, and scheduled them to come the following Wednesday (25th) to install a brand new tank for the Generator and Connect it, which they did~ Like I said, Highly Recommend Rinker Inc....Should have gone with them to begin with, would have saved a lot of Frustration, but they were more expensive than Keystone for the tanks and now I know why...The Two Tanks that we Purchased from Keystone (back in 2024)were Not New (that's why they were cheaper) And Still Have Not Heard Back From Tammy or anyone at Keystone, since the 19th of February, when "Tammy" "said I have to Call you Back" Really Do Not Know What Their Issue Was, but Do Feel that if they were having issues, they should have Communicated Truthfully with Us~ Like I said, Very Disappointed with Keystone Propane and if this is how they Treat Customers and run their Business...They Need to Take a Step Back and take a look at how they handle things within the business~Truthful Communication would be a Starting Point~

We have been let down multiple times with promised delivery dates that didn't come to fruition as well as credits on our account that never actually materialize. It's as if the sole purpose of their outsourced "customer service" is to get the customer off of the phone as quickly as possible with a "resolution". Even if you are a "will call" customer who makes delivery requests, your requests can be ignored due to the AmeriGas system estimating how much propane you still have left in your tank. Do yourself a favor and find a local propane provider with real customer service. No company with any part of America in the name should have customer service outsourced to a foreign country.

They were snowbirds, and migrated to warmer weather and never had to deal with cold weather in PA. This company almost made us run out of propane. We were forced to use space heaters. When they finally came, after 3 weeks, they only filled the tank 75%. We've decided to switch companies to a more reputable provider; however, cancelling the Amerigas account and getting them to pick up the tank is near impossible (if you could get someone on the phone). They are the Hotel California of propane companies. If you have any sense, avoid this company at all costs. They will charge you excessive fees just to deter you from cancelling.

Our family is very respected in our community our church everywhere and I have never ever in my entire life been spoken to like I was by these two women passing the buck one to the other transferring me because nobody wants to deal with it. 8 months ago they doubled down our delivery request and we gave them no issues about it at all we told them don't worry about it we understand mistakes happen no big deal just give us a little extra time to pay it please and they told us no problem it wouldn't impede on us getting another delivery. However here we are 7 months and one week later and they're telling me that they won't bring us a delivery for the $248 that's left on our account that is due Even though three days ago we just paid them $250. We explained we have children in the house we have no oil we've had a good reputation with them for 7 years and the woman would not even consider letting us speak to the owner to see if we can get a delivery. Then they tell me that I can't speak to Amy that both of the bosses are not in and that there's no direct phone number or email to reach the owner of the company. And I am just honestly blown away that we were so polite to them we didn't make them come pump the oil back out we didn't make them dismiss the money off the account because it's their mistake that they made but here we are having some hardship right before school starts for our children and they won't even meet us halfway they won't let us speak to the owner nothing. And I know that these women have worked here for quite some time but they really need to reconsider hiring some younger more polite people that are going to work with customers that have been with them for a long time this actually brought me to tears because we will now be paying them the $250 and closing our account with them and telling everybody our story everybody in our community that uses them that loves our family loves our children knows what good people we are businesses should not be ran like this and women that have attitudes should not be allowed to speak on customer service ends. And Amy I really do hope you get to see this we really enjoyed the beginning years of y'all's service and appreciate you for always meeting us halfway prior however this experience was probably the worst I have ever ever had in any company in any situation.

I placed an order for heating oil with Penny-wise Fuel Inc. that has already been paid for through a government assistance program. Despite payment being issued, delivery was not completed. I was later informed that the driver could not make the delivery because my driveway was allegedly not cleared. This statement is inaccurate. The driveway was fully accessible, and no attempt was made to contact me at the time to address or resolve any concern. Since that missed delivery, my household has now been without heat for four days. During this time, I have repeatedly contacted Penny-wise Fuel Inc., explained the urgency of the situation, and made them aware that there are four young children living in the home. On multiple occasions, I was assured that delivery would occur "the next day." Despite these assurances, no delivery has been made, and there has been no proactive follow-up, no clear explanation, and no meaningful communication. At a minimum, I would expect timely and honest communication--especially when an essential service such as home heating is involved and payment has already been made. Instead, I have experienced broken promises, inaccurate claims, and inaction, which has caused significant stress and hardship for my household. I am requesting that this matter be addressed immediately, either by completing the prepaid delivery without further delay or by providing clear, honest communication regarding why the service cannot be fulfilled. I am submitting this complaint so that appropriate action can be taken and so others are aware of the service issues I have experienced.
