I got quotes from 6 movers.  Shark Movers was very competitively priced.  They are registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and insured.  Both things were difference makers for me in choosing them.   Their quote was easy to understand.  Office staff patiently answered all my questions. I scheduled my move 6 days in advance so communications from office staff and driver before moving day kept my confidence high. I was looking for a last minute moving company & decided to use Shark Movers. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING this company is. They were able to fit me in on such a short notice (I contacted them via email around 8:18 pm Tues for movers to come Thursday morning, & received an email back followed by a phone call immediately soon after!!)! They're (from the manager, Stacey, to the movers) very professional, courteous, quick, and efficient! I had Fermin and two other guys, and they were absolutely the best! They dissembled our furniture, wrapped everything (neat & tight), transported everything to our storage unit across town (1 hour away), & unloaded everything into the storage unit all within 6 hours -- this would have taken us all day if we didn't hire them. This is my first time using shark movers, I have used movers, but I gotta say these guys are the best! On time came to my house on july 20th 2016, i was booked for 9 am they called me around 7:45 am to let me know that that they can be there in 30 mins, I requested 40 mins cause I just woke up and they were at my house at 8:35 perfect timing, As soon as they got in they were so fast and assembled and disassembled by bunk bed, California king size bed, washer and dryer perfectly.....fast but very careful. Very good guys all three of them smiling and working hard on a very hard day on a very hot day, major props for these hard working man. they never complained about any little thing my wife wanted done great attitude! I hope these guys stay in business forever and same great guys work for them, I will only use them and refer them to my friends and family.....your movers attitude and hard work makes a huge difference in your moving ....me and my wife were very satisfied and relaxed THANK YOU GUYS P.S. We moved out of our home of 21 years, read some reviews decided to try these movers. Fermin and his team were like machines. They never stopped. They were extremely professional, asking if they could use bathroom. They didn't mind moving furniture a couple of tlmes. As a matter of fact when I was undecided they said if you don't like it we will move it again. They pointed out any damage that existed and were very careful with all items. The movers can pack your belongings with care and they make sure that they don't damage the walls or damage your belongings in any way! I have a unique review for this company. I actually liked their work ethic, the guys moved quick and fast, got everything moved, and were very nice and professional. HOWEVER, one of the guys brought the patio furniture through the middle of the house and ruined an expensive rug. They were very apologetic initially. After noticing the stain during payment the guy said if is not cleaned it will be replaced, was verbally agreed day before departing. The guy who dropped the patio water on the $1300 rug even came out next day to try to remove but was unsuccessful. After talking to Stacy (the office manager), the owners decided only for of the guys came back out to try to remove the stain but unfortunately the cleaning didn't make a difference and brown stain was still there. She offered $100 for the $1300 rug. These guys were a referral to me and was told they would ensure all items would be moved smoothly. Things happen sometime (as mentioned everything else with the move was great). But owners need to step up when things go awry. Juan and his team with Shark Movers did our move from Woodlands to Champions today. The guys arrived when they said they would, took a quick tour and got straight to work. They wrap EVERYTHING in pads for protection....which obviously takes longer but so far we haven't discovered a single damaged item, which is a lot to be said for a big move. We went from a 2 story 3 bed + Office with All meds & laundry upstairs to a 4 bed 2 story with master and laundry down and it took 8.75 hours including travel and a typical rainy Houston day. Yes it is a bit expensive, but 100% worth it if you like your furniture. I would absolutely recommend Shark to anyone. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The team of Shark movers were so awesome. They showed up 15 minutes early to find the best parking, find the apt, and go over the paperwork. They began on time, and stayed within my allotted 3 hour window. They covered and wrapped every single item that was not in a box (couches, nightstands, tables, mattresses... you name it!). They even showed up with extra boxes and tape that came in handy for some lingering items. They quickly broke down my beds (Queen/bunk) in 15 minutes, and put them up for me in the new home when they arrived. The red carpet was unexpected and a great plus! This moving company is fantastic and highly recommended. I moved from the suburbs into downtown and they gave me such peace of mind during the entire move. They are very careful with all of your belongings especially those that you care the most about. The guys were on time, courteous, and very careful when wrapping and packing the truck. They continually gave me updates, ask questions, and pointed things out to let me know so I could feel secure and comfortable. Moving is very stressful, but the boys are fantastic. When I called to schedule the move, Stacie helped me and was very informative and sweet when scheduling the date of the move. Fermin and his crew did a 2 day move for us. It was huge. They arrived in a timely manner hit the ground running. They have it down to a very efficient and cheerful system! They took great care with all of our things, pointing out places that were already scratched and protecting things so well. Then they protected my new wood floors with red mats every where they went. What can I say about the shark movers? You decide. This company called me 20 minutes as promised before arrival time. They were punctual and they made sure to give our furniture the red carpet treatment. What's that? Use this company and find out because I don't want anyone to steal this process from them. NOTHING broken or scratched because of them, and they made sure to alert me of anything pre-existing before they wrapped and moved anything! Three men were sent to do the job and they DO NOT stretch the time, again THEY DO NOT WASTE your TIME! This company is a binding contract and they charge hourly. Specialty items require special care they charge for fragile items differently but if you ask what is specifically a specialty item they let you know upfront. No Surprises! You will not be ill or misinformed with this company with hidden fees or fragmented instructions. Our 4,000+ square foot home was moved seamlessly, and the price to do it was more than fair! I am not wealthy not by a long shot. This company is insured, they have the proper licenses, and they are not subcontracted workers. Get a quote! It is just that simple, no fancy salesman language to work through! Stacey Ramirez(administration/receptionist) first point of contact THE BEST! Ask her anything about their services. When you forgot something or didn't understand, she is truly there to help, no attitude whatsoever. I called multiple times trust me. Our three movers: Fermin, Betho and Mike did their job above and beyond well, period!!! We've had movers before, but none quite as good as these guys. Fermin and the crew packed up the big house (4400 sq feet) and moved us in to a new place over the course of two days. They were on time, professional, everything was wrapped, labeled, and not one item broken. The first day, they worked 13 hours stopping for only a half hour break. During the unpacking the following day, the furniture was assembled and placed wherever we liked it. We had a little issue with having too much stuff for the truck and they worked it out with no issue. The initial communication and execution on the move was excellent and they will be our first call for our future calls. This was by far the best moving experience we have had. We used Shark Movers twice, once to move our belongings from our home to a storage unit and then from the storage unit to our new house. The response time to book was fast. Fermin and his crew moved our belongings out and we were so impressed by them that we specifically booked him again for our move from the storage unit. After reading all of the rave reviews on yelp, I decided to book Shark Movers for my recent move. Silly me, I contacted them a few weeks before I wanted to move but they were booked 4 weekends in advance. I ended up scheduling a Monday morning move. No worries, I should have been more organized and called sooner. Fermin called the evening before to confirm my appointment. He then called again the morning of the move when he was about 15 minutes away. Fermin and his crew were very polite and professional. Fermin walked through the apartment with me and they got right to it. I had requested 2 movers but noticed a 3rd gentlemen helping some of the time. The wrapped my furniture in blankets and/or shrink wrap to protect it. They worked quickly and efficiently, even disconnecting my washer and dryer for me. My new place was less than 2 miles away. The new place required them to go up stairs and it didn't slow them down at all. They finished the entire move in exactly 2 hours. WOW! So why only 4 stars? There was a discrepancy in what I was quoted to what I was charged. I emailed Stacey at Shark, to receive an initial quote. The quote was as follows: 2 movers ($89 per hr.) or 3 movers ($109 per hour), $65 trip charge, 2 hour minimum. Since I was downsizing from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom, I opted for the 2 movers, especially since we got rid of a lot of stuff (including most of my furniture). When I received the invoice I noticed I was charged for 3 hours. I immediately contacted Stacey. At first she said it was because they ended up using 3 movers instead of 2. I never asked for 3, I booked 2 movers. I then stated that ok, if that was the case I should only be charged an additional $20 per hour ($40 total-2 hours) for the third mover instead of $89 for an extra hour. She then stated that she sent me an old quote because now they have a 3 hour minimum, so they just charged me for 2 movers at 3 hours as it would have taken at least 3 hours if I had only had 2 movers. Again, great service for the actual move and I would use them again. Just make sure you get a clear, correct quote to avoid any billing surprises. read more

Recently moved within Katy, checked out several movers before deciding on Shark because of their 38 5* rating. Fermin and the 2 guys who came worked hard throughout the day, nothing was damaged or ruined. They pointed out all damaged items before wrapping.
