When would you visit a chain while you're on vacation? When it's a reliable chain that may be the best locally in its genre. Sharetea is a chain from Taiwan, homeland of bubble tea, that has only relatively recently expanded across the Pacific. I first tried Sharetea in San Jose not much more than a month ago, and I enjoyed one of the creama drinks. Not to be confused with milk tea, these drinks have a fairly hydrophobic layer that separates pretty quickly from the rest of the drink if left alone. I went with the mango green tea creama today, 80% sweetness per the cashier's suggestion. I could have easily left well enough alone and just shaken the entire drink rapidly before jamming a straw through the thin plastic cover, but they actually presented me with a tiny plastic knife (not the case at the San Jose location for some reason), which contains fine print instructions about cutting two separate 2-3 cm holes in the plastic. This practice actually allows you to get creama into your strawless sips without stirring. Like in the case of poking two holes into the lids of cans of liquid, air will be allowed to enter the container from the second hole, so pressure won't build up and stop the flow of your precious sweet drink. OK, technique lecture over. The mango flavor is true to the fruit, and there's real mango puree at the bottom (perhaps the one reason to continue using a straw for this particular drink). The tea isn't all that strong. I'd say 80% sweetness is reasonable, although it oddly tasted not sweet enough at the start. The creama has a nice salty component and really makes the drink feel rich enough to distract me from the relative lack of tea flavor. The only size available is 24 oz, and it is great. I'll definitely consider returning to this Sharetea on my future SoCal trips. It might not be convenient for people who don't live in the immediate vicinity, but if I'm going to make a trip from the Little Saigon area up to Porto's in Downey, then Sharetea is a pretty quick detour off the highway. read more

Soooooooo maybe I found my new oolong milk tea place? Not too sure yet. Did a quick search while in Cerritos and came across this place and thought to myself ehhh why not? I ordered the OOLONG MILK TEA and it was quite good, not too sweet. They don't offer any free add ons, every add on is 0.50 cents which I thought was weird. All other places offer at least one free add on and additional add ons are charged... They offer a 10% off coupon during check in I showed it to a worker at the register and ask if I can claim this and got cut off mid sentence and replied oh yea I will after I ring you up, but unfortunately he forgot to give it to me and had already swiped and closed my card out... Before I could say anything. Bummer, maybe next time. Parking is plentiful. The plaza is a less frequented plaza so there is always lots of parking. I don't crave milk teas often but when I do, I'll more than likely be coming here idk we'll see. read more

This place is bomb dot com. I had the matcha red bean milk tea, which was out of this world. It's super cool that you can choose the level of sweetness and amount of ice. I selected less sweet with normal ice, and was quite satisfied with my drink. The red bean was definitely a good substitute for boba as it's nice to have a change once in awhile. The owner was super nice. At the cash register, he even inquired if I check into yelp to receive the 10% off my order. I mentioned that it was my first time at this location, and he immediately offered a stamp card. It takes 10 stamps to receive one free drink of any flavor/size. To top it off, he reassured me that if I did not like a drink, I can always get a refund. Very happy with the service. They have free wifi access. The wifi code is located on a sign by the ordering counter. It's a clean location with tables both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to try more drinks on the menu. read more

I placed an order here that was mistakenly given away by their staff. When we came to pick it up, they made us wait over 30 minutes to try to get it resolved rather than remaking the order so we could leave. They went as far as trying to review surveillance to see if we had already picked up the order or if someone else had come to pick up the order. I called the owner "Ted" who was argumentative and gave ultimatums saying I only had two options. Wait another 20 minutes to have the drinks remade or dispute the order with yelp. He also accused us of possibly having someone who knew we called, to pick up our order. This is bad business "Ted." You should have just apologized and reevaluate how you give out your drinks. Don't accuse your customers of shadiness. Just run your business right. OMG. We've been here almost an hour waiting for our drinks... I hope you continue to investigate this and find that me or my wife and kids, who waited for nearly an hour, had nothing to do with our drinks being gone. There are several reviews that talk about how the employees are rude and unfriendly, but honestly, apples don't fall too far from its tree. Good service must start from the top and if the owner is unfriendly and disrespectful, of course his staff will be too. Here's a word of advise. Train yourselves. Train yourselves to go back to the ideals of "customers first." I promise you if you do this, you will make more money. You're losing money running business the way you are. I would have loved to give this place a full 4 stars but I just couldn't after my boyfriend found a piece of hair in his drink. I was excited about the spinning of the discount wheel. And to have it land on FREE, well I was ready to give this place a five star. Then, after 8 mins have gone by, then 10 mins, 15 mins, just before 20 mins, we finally got our drinks. However the oolong mt (3.25) is awesome particularly for those that pick mt for tea flavor, with the lychee jelly even more awesome. The other drink that I also did not expect to be awesome is the kiwi fruit tea with ice jelly (4), tangy then sweet so don't reduce the sweetness at all cuz I did and then it was too tangy close to sour. -min to use cc is $5. They only offer one size & you are able to adjust the sweetness levels too. They're ALWAYS BUSY, so just be prepared to wait some time. At night is usually the busiest where the line is out the door. As much as I want to love Sharetea, my opinion has leaned to avoiding them. This is in lieu of the inconsistency in service and quality of drinks. At this time they are only taking online orders, or so I was told, via the Yelp app, GrubHub, or via delivery on Postmates or UberEats. What is a very busy Friday night spot pre-Covid, Sharetea continues to thrive despite my sentiment. The options here for tea are plentiful with several types of boba or jelly additions to drink. However, I find that the tea is not brewed well, nor are the boba portions consistent every time. I don't get the same kind of great drink at this location as I once used to. If they were to improve on this with every order, their quality control issues may lead to longer term growth. To add to this, I am also finding that their delivery times are incredibly long. The adjustment time is understandable, along with lean staff. However, wait times are now around 30-45 minutes for a single boba. While there is a backlog and the demand is there, prompt service and delivery goals are not there. Sadly, with a watery boba drink at $5 that one has to wait at least 30 minutes for, I will end up going elsewhere. read more

Excellent customer service. That's the first time I noticed when I walked in. All the girls were extremely friendly and very helpful. It was our first time here and they helped us picked out some drinks with boba. I ordered the Honey Milk Tea with boba and my fiancé for the Mango Green-tea with boba. The girls were even nice enough to ask us if we want it less or more sweet (we went with less sweet because WEDDING season duh). We sat down and noticed there were so many young kids just hanging out at this cafe with their laptops. They were drinking boba drinks and doing their homework and just hanging out. It's a fun and safe place for them. Shortly after our drinks came out and they asked us if we like them? Because if we didn't they would exchange it for us. I mean come on!! This is my go to boba spot when I'm around the area! Keep in mind, the line is usually out the door but it goes by quickly. The workers are friendly and always have a smile on their face. First tried sharetea up in norcal and I was sad coming back home because I wouldnt be able to get my fix anymore, but lo and behold -- I was ecstatic to find that there are socal locations as well! Mango green tea creama!!! Holyyyy fudge this stuff is good! It's like salty foam/cream on top of mango green tea. One sip and I was hooked! You're supposed to cut open a little slit on the lid so when you drink it, you get a bit of the cream with the tea. Or you can just mix it up all together. Whatever you want, s'all gravy. It's great either way. So creamy and delish and there's even real bits of mango in it too! This is the one boba place me and the bf won't share a drink because we like it so much! Came here over the weekend for a second time and yet again they did not disappoint. This place is great. Sharetea is easily one of my favorite boba place. In particular I love the Oolong Milk tea or the Jasmine Milk tea, I also like Taro Milk tea which I found out they make fresh daily and don't use powders which is amazing. I like that you dan customize the drinks with different levels of sugar and ice which is awesome. The facility is big but usually very very pack so expect to wait in line roughly 10-15 minutes every time you visit. Definitely not a place to try and grab something quick. I like all the options they have and how much they seem to take notice on what people like and make more options similar to those. This place is not close to my house but when in the area it will be a must to visit for sure. read more

Hmm.. Just tried this place yesterday and it was okay. There used to be a Red Ribbon bakery here. I was suprised it was gone!! Omg how sad.. But anyways, I ordered the Oolong Milk Tea w/ boba of course. It tasted pretty milky. Don't really know how to explain the taste. If you guys ever had Half & Half's Oolong Milk Tea. I found this spot from a friend who comes here often. So far tried the okinawa pearl milk tea iced and mango green tea creama, both with boba and less sweetened. I think the boba quality and drink flavors here are solid! I loved how the sea salt cream foam on top of the mango green tea mixed in to make a creamy, decadent drink that isn't overwhelming. The milk tea was just the right flavor too. Boba texture isn't super chewy, an authentic texture. There are a wide range of toppings and milk teas along with teas. My friends and I go out of our way to come here often ! Side note: Inside seating is small and limited, it gets crowded. There's some seating outside though! read more

I've tried several milk teas and they are all good! The Okinawa Milk Tea can only be sweetened down to 80% but I recommend it because it is not too sweet, yet packed with flavor! They have mini pearls/boba now which is my favorite! I love it because you can use the smaller straw and not drink tons of milk tea, or drink all the boba in one sip. It is the perfect ratio -- mini boba to milk tea. The fruit teas are refreshing too and you NEED a stamp card because you will be coming back - especially when you can get a free drink at the end of your card. The place is pretty crowded every time I go, so just be ready to wait a little bit. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are in a rush unless you order ahead of time. read more

Always love this place! I've been to other locations throughout SoCal & this is my fave one. They do really well with COVID protocols to protect the health of their workers & customers (masks required, protective shields, card only to minimize contact, hand sanitizer provided, no indoor access).
