There was a hair in my food and nothing was done about it. and they just said ew and excused it.

Dad saw that at one of our favorite restaurants there was a deal we couldn't miss! It's Shackmas at Shane's Rib Shack, and we got the deal of the day. A full rack of ribs for $20 we did get a side salad and drinks but it was so filling and great. We love Sonny's down in Florida but we don't have access to that here so this is the next best! Love this place have been going for years since they opened at Happy Valley!

Barely any fries or chicken. Can literally see through there "fried tender shack fries". Never had a problem like this at the Westgate location. This place is never getting my busy again

RIB PLATE BBQ PORK PLATE Mac n cheese POTATO SALAD

Orderd 2 meat sampler with mac and a potato salad. Waiter was chill no problems with his attitude. But when i got my plate i saw the ribs. As a Texan, i was displeased by the bbq ribs. Dry as jerky, no tenderness dry like turkey. After taking a few bites i wasnt even hungry anymore. For 33$ feels like i got robbed plus they forgot to gove me my potato salad. Didnt realize until i finished my mac n cheese

Tasty bbq corner. The ribs, half rack, was good for sharing amongst two. Tender and flavorful, enjoyable eats, and accompanying mac and cheese complemented it nicely. Friendly service and Texas style ambience.

The Owner could double as a a radio Personality. I told him it was my first time in and he ran me through the menu like a Sales Man. I was sold on the 1/2 rack ribs with beans and fries. The restaurant is clean and gives you a Texas vibe. The rib meat is tender and touching it with the original sauce is excellent. The beans are delicious and toast is tasty. Stop in and try this joint.

My friend and I were in the area and after riding our bikes we were hungry. I've not been here so decided to give it a try. Got the BBQ pork sandwich, drink, and potato salad. Everything was ok. Nothing to write home about. The potato salad was decent. Nice flavor. If you're in the area give it a try.

Just avoid. Got the Uber delivery to try them out. Maybe they give sub prime food to Uber. The ribs did fall off the rack, the problem was they were yesterday's ribs heated and burned to exhaustion. So you have these tibs that still have the collagen breakdown, bit the meat is so dry you have soak it. 5.00 Mac and cheese at 3oz. I guess it's okay if you've never tasted BBQ never been to Texas or Kansas City, but they really need to step up because they are close to just hiring short order cooks to convince that this is good when it's really jerkey. When you have to dip each bight in bbq sauce every night to swallow you know it's over. Sorry guys, but your food sucks.

I had just finished leaving my doctor's appointment, and decided I'd better go grab a bite to eat something before taking a long drive home. I searched on Google maps for restaurants near me and Shane's popped up. I hadn't had BBQ since Mexico lol so I figured I'd give them a try. When I entered, I was the only person there. I was instantly greeted by Andrew. I told him it was my first time coming here. So, he gave me time to look over the menu, and he let me know to ask him if I had any questions. I went over the menu, and to my surprise, they didn't have hot links!!! What kind of BBQ joint doesn't have hot links?! I'm flabbergasted! A star off for that lmfao Anywho, I went on to order the sampler. Might as well try a few different things at once! The sampler included 1/4 rack of ribs, 2 chicken tenders, pulled pork (you can get pulled chicken if you don't want pork), 2 sides, and toast. I got friend okra and baked beans. I was ecstatic to see friend okra on the menu! I hadn't had that in years!!! Oh! The drink isn't included... Womp. The pulled pork, baked beans, and fried okra, especially the fried okra was good! I was kinda sad the ribs weren't all that great. They were cooked well! Fell off the bone and everything. But, I wasn't too fancy about the flavor/seasoning. And, the chicken tenders were just too bland for my liking. Blander than Raising Cane's lol but the tenders themselves are better quality than Cane's tenders, I will give them that. One the other hand, I did enjoy trying the specialty BBQ sauces! The mustard one was my absolute favorite! I dipped my ribs and chicken tenders in it! Yum! I would definitely buy a bottle or two of their specialty BBQ sauce for home, or to gift to my Grill Master gal. All of those flavors slapped! Good, good, good! But, I would come back here to try something else on the menu. The Big Dad, which is a pulled pork sandwich, is the house favorite. So, I'd try that out or the chicken wings. But, I'd really love to see hot links on the menu! I didn't forget about that lol I really just can't believe they didn't have hot links lol

    Shack sampler never disappoints

Just a perfectly balanced sauce - not too sweet, not too spicey. I prefer this sauce to the others.

The live DJ was INCREDIBLE and really brought the energy. Service was great as well. One thing to know before you go: it gets LOUD, especially on the weekends. We had a hard time hearing each other talk at times, so if you have sensitive ears or prefer a quieter, more relaxed brunch, I'd probably recommend going somewhere a little more low-key. That said, the lively atmosphere is definitely part of the experience, and we personally loved the vibe. Great food, good drinks, amazing music, and lots of energy. If you're looking for a brunch where you can eat, drink, listen to great music, and have a good time, Sugarjam is definitely worth checking out.

We made our reservation online and were seated right away, which made for a great start to our celebration. It took a little while for our waitress to come to our table, but the restaurant was very busy since it was the weekend. Once she arrived, she was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. One thing we really enjoyed was the live DJ, who kept the atmosphere fun with excellent music. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant, which worked out perfectly for our large party and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal together. For drinks, we ordered two Bloody Marys, two beers, a mimosa flight, waters, and lemonades. The only disappointment was the Bloody Marys. For the price, we expected them to be garnished with olives and the traditional toppings that usually come with a Bloody Mary. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, including the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, Chicken & Waffles, Flapjack Tenders, the French Toast Sandwich (served with breakfast potatoes and syrup), Oxtails with Dirty Rice, and Catfish & Grits. Overall, the food was delicious. The Cinnamon Roll Pancakes were good, although we expected a little more cinnamon roll flavor and icing, similar to what we've experienced at other restaurants. The biggest disappointment was the oxtails. While they were flavorful and well-prepared, the portion size was smaller than expected, especially considering the $43 price tag. A helpful tip for anyone visiting with a large group: the restaurant will only split the check into two separate bills, so it's a good idea to bring cash or plan your payment arrangements in advance. Overall, we had a wonderful experience celebrating our sister's birthday. The lively atmosphere, great music, delicious food, and attentive service made for an enjoyable brunch. We look forward to returning in the future. We also learned that the owner has another restaurant called Soulful Tacos, which we're excited to try soon.

I've eaten at Mrs. Whites for many years, and every time I want to go back to real southern cooking this is where I come to. Companion and I dropped in for lunch, and there was so much food that we skipped dinner. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken. 3 pan fried pieces that are juicy and golden brown. For sides I had mixed greens with hot sauce and mac and cheese. The collards were tender and delicious and the mac and cheese didn't even come close fo K..... Dinner. It was loaded with cheese and truly memorable. It also came with a large piece of homemade cornbread with lots of butter on top. Companion ordered the child's plate which is 2 pieces of chicken and and 2 sides. Ordered were cole slaw and mac and cheese. Because we are both diabetics, we both ordered unsweetened tea, but I really wanted a glass of the sweet tea which you get all through the south. We had planned on getting the wonderful peach cobbler for dessert, but we were so full that it would have been impossible to get down. Other items on the menu are smothered pork chops, fried catfish, and chicken fried steak as well as a host of other items. The restaurant recently underwent a complete renovation and it is really nice inside. Lest I forget to mention it, This is a small place that has been here for as long as I can remember. Popped in before a Suns game, an easy walk past Chase Field. It was good to get away from the usual pregame options. The place was clean and inviting, and had a little bit of a "back in time" feel without being dated. Quickly and pleasantly welcomed and seated. Then came the hard part, making choices. We had fried chicken and fried catfish, with sides of Mac and Cheese, macaroni salad (yep, Mac two ways), greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. All were great, obviously home made from longstanding recipes. Especially into the greens, which were bursting with flavor. The catfish was delish, and my wife called the fried chicken the best she ever had. Saved room for peach cobbler, which was served smoking hot. The perfect sweet end to the savory meal. Next time I'm all in on pork chops, which looked amazing. And we will come on a Sunday, the only day dressing is available as a side option. If you're looking for a meal that feels like a friend had you over for supper, go here! Thanks Mrs. White's family!

Tucked back in a small building, just off Southern Avenue, you'll find Southern Fried. It is a small little walk in store front, so plan ahead to order out. We went ahead and ordered online to make things simple and easy. As shown on their building and advertised they show they serve Jamaican food so I was pretty let down when I looked at the menu to discover they do not have any Jamaican food. Seeing pictures of previous Yelp reviews of jerk chicken and oxtail left me bummed. We ended up ordering the fried okra, fried mushrooms, the 2 fish and 5 shrimp combo, along with the fried catfish and fries. We took our food to go and headed home, just around the corner. Once opening the containers i instantly got excited about the mushrooms. Anyone that knows me knows i am mushroom obsessed. With a quick dip in the ranch that came with and popping one into my mouth.... Yummmm! The okra was a bit of a miss. It seems they were still a bit slimy. Moving along to our main courses, I was disappointed to find that our fish was packed on top of our fries and the fries were very limp, soggy and unseasoned. I think packing the takeout differently could easily eliminate this issue. The catfish and shrimp were seasoned to perfection. They both had a perfect blend of spice and a light and crispy batter. I would love to see Jamaican food on the menu, as the advertising is a bit deceptive. Overall I would definitely be willing to try them again and would love to give one of their burgers a taste test.
