My front-entry tiles look brand new (but they're not); he replaced the existing grout with a new product that has it looking bright and clean. She suggested trying Resource, a recycle house parts function of Boulder Eco-cycle. In fact I knew of them because my contractor had taken my old doors there. I did not have the time or skill to complete it as well as they did. The brick behind it was super wavy, bumpy and not level, but the new tile is perfect! I initially made a significant mistake in ordering a shade of flooring that was way too dark for the rooms in my house ( my own mistake and bad judgement- note to self- never buy flooring without first taking a sample home to check in your own home first). When the installers arrived to fit my new floor and after they had moved all the furniture and hauled out the carpets, I was horrified to find I hated the color of the LVP I had chosen when they started to place it on the floor. I was almost in tears thinking I was just going to have to live with flooring that I hated! The guys were very patient and gracious as I called Carpet Exchange and spoke with the manager John who was extremely tolerant and graciously agreed to accept return of the LVP and allow me to select another color. The installers put all my furniture back and tried to make me feel better, regardless of their wasted morning. From there, John and my sales customer service advisor Sarah helped me on the mission to find the LVP color that I had envisioned and they were reassuring without hesitation, that their ultimate priority was to make sure I was happy with my purchase. After taking MANY samples home to try in the lighting of my own home , I found the perfect floor. The installers came out again yesterday, as cheerful as ever for " take 2 flooring install" and I am absolutely in love with my new floors. So, we purchased the tile we wanted and then began the daunting task of finding a decent tile person to install it for us - a small project in a booming construction economy. We were prepared for the worst, but were still optimistic! We called Dan and left a voice mail message. Within a few hours, he called us back! We were shocked! Dan was very busy and booked out about 3 weeks, but he was very professional so we described the job and he gave us a reasonable quote. Well, Dan managed to work us into his schedule and was able to do the job the following week. He was clean, he showed up on time, he kept his commitments, he finished in 2 days, and he was an OUTSTANDING tile artisan. Atlas Flooring Boulder helped solve our strange problem. We bought a 'spec house' and the wall to…read morewall carpeting over the first 2+ yrs of living there started to rise and cause ridges and bumps...to the point where I tripped one night and I called them to express my concerns. In 20+ yrs in construction management I've never seen carpets do this and indeed, after 3 visits by staff and inspectors, they honored the warranty (glue on back had failed) and replaced it at no charge. Atlas staff were calm and moved thru the process respectfully...and while it was a pain, at least all is safe now. Paul (the installer) and his team were perfectly professional and easy to work with. In the meantime, we elected to swap out the wall to wall in the master with a hardwood (on our dime) and are thrilled with that as well. Their installers are great and honest about their findings.
