I only have GREAT things to say about the owner of the company and Mr. William, who performed the work for us! Prices are extremely reasonable and the work is exceptional! The owner had great follow up! If it had not been for his follow up, we may have missed out on the opportunity to work with them! I could not have been more pleased with their prompt communication, the high quality of their work, and their reasonable prices. In particular, Chauncey was very transparent about the number of man-hours that might be required and what options were available to me in terms of carpeting/floorboard materials. I greatly appreciated his expert advice when deciding what materials to use for aesthetics and longevity, and he made an effort to call me (and text photo samples for comparison) while at Home Depot before making any executive decisions. To anyone reading this.. I would give Golden Hands Handyman Services a full 5 stars. I am totally pleased with this company and would highly recommend them.. We were needing a wall to be slightly higher because we couldn't get our new dryer in the space where we choose. I called other Handyman's and a lot of them would give a call back a week or 2 later or just didn't want to do the job.. When, I called Golden Hands Handyman Services, I had never of them at first. But, I thought I would call them and see what they could do..We were needing our new dryer to be in place.. I am soooooo glad I called them, they said they could be over the next day and I sent them pictures of what needed to be done.. When one of their workers came to our home, he was very professional, very friendly and made sure that he wouldn't go over the 8 hours that they quoted us.. Most business don't generally do that so that they can add to the invoice.. The person who came over was Chauncey and he is totally professional and let's you know everything that happens step by step. He also was able to connect the exhaust hose from the dryer to exhaust opening in the wall. Which was no small feat, given the tight area of where our dryer was in. I was thankful that he did that... He is awesome to work with and Sasha as well.. Very professional.. This company I would highly recommend, they have fair prices, communication is excellent and if we needed any future work to be done.. I would most certainly call them.. I had really terrible experience with this company. I scheduled them to remove some sliding doors temporarily while I moved a couch in. Initially, the scheduling of the appointment was very cumbersome as I had trouble getting anyone to call me back and it took 10 emails to sort out a date and time. That should have been a red flag however we confirmed the appointment over email two weeks in advance, so I opted to persevere. I scheduled the couch delivery to happen at the same time. The day of the confirmed appointment arrived and no one showed up. I attempted to call the number listed on the website and here on Yelp and got an automated message saying the number is not in service. I had to send away the couch delivery and reschedule the whole thing with another handyman. I cannot recommend this service to anyone. read more

I had a good experience recently with the Golden Hands team. They responded to my initial email in under 24 hours and had my problem fixed less than a week later. Jen was very communicative and kept me in the loop on when the handyman was coming. They sent the quote in writing, and it ended up being almost exactly what we paid. I appreciated the transparency. My only complaint was that the final amount was a bit more than I hoped to pay ($337 for a lumber-only repair on the garage), and I wonder if the job could have been done more quickly had we not been paying by the hour. read more

Great experience with Golden Hands. One of his handy men did a small job for me. Often it's hard to find someone to do something small (replaced a bathroom fan). But he was willing and showed up right on time, even after I asked to reschedule. He was totally professional and also very nice about helping me decide what to fix after the original repair turned out to be different than what I initially thought. My name is Craig & I am using my wife's account to enter this review since I don't have one. I am a contractor/woodworker and have over 40 years experience in all phases of the field. I've been hired to clean up the incredible mess left by Golden Hands Handyman Services who the client fired. I'm truly not exaggerating when I say that the work in hardwood flooring, tile, drywall, trim carpentry and cabinet installation is BY FAR the worst I have ever seen by a contracting company. Beyond poor work, the did illegal and dangerous things like installing cabinets over light switches and outlets without spark arresters or cover plates. I've had to remove lots their work and redo to make it right. It seems their main objective is to get paid and not do a good job. They should not only stop doing this work but should be charged with robbery since the client purchased a $350.00 storm door which Golden Hands stole from the job. The previous reviews had to have been lies that were extremely coerced. If it was possible to have given them a negative star it would have been a minus 10!!!! read more

Sasha was great - responded quickly to my phone call, and was able to come much sooner than any of the other handymen I contacted. He and one of his crew members got right to work and did a great job with installing light fixtures, a closet system, and assembling a trundle bed. While I appreciated the work they did, I also just appreciated Sasha's authenticity as a person. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they kind of rushed out at the end of the job, forgetting to repack the fixtures that didn't work and leaving their drill behind. Sasha and his crew did three different projects for us in October, 2014 and we're very happy with the quality of the work, the friendliness of his team, the communication throughout, and the overall cost. The biggest project was insulating walls in our house which required cutting out sections of the existing drywall, insulating, and patching up the walls. Another job was building out a frame to insulate in a room where the drywall was snug up against the cement foundation (house built in 1966) . Another project was installing two new toilets, replacing the dispose-all, and reworking the plumbing under the kitchen sink. Very efficient. I'll be calling them again. read more
