Before installing this new sink, he pointed out the poor condition of the hot and cold valves and water lines, which were more than 30 years old. He recommended they be replaced and I agreed. I have used Highsmith & Daughters Plumbing on several very different projects over the past few…read moreyears, and Matthew and his team have earned my trust each time. I first met Matthew when he helped a friend's father deal with numerous gas leaks in a mobile home. It was a difficult situation, but he was responsive, professional, and thorough. Later, after we moved into a home in Lancaster, I asked the company to travel from Simi Valley to help overhaul several parts of the plumbing system. The house needed a new regulator and cleanout, and an addition had been plumbed incorrectly with the hot and cold lines reversed. They also replaced an older water heater with a tankless system and rerouted portions of the gas piping as we converted more appliances and systems to electric. They handled several additional problems that demonstrated both persistence and honesty. A serious clog in the main kitchen drain line took more than two hours to break through, but they stayed with it until the line was cleared. During the home inspection, we had also been told that approximately ten feet of piping beneath the house appeared cracked and might need to be replaced. After performing a full video inspection of the plumbing system, Matthew's team determined that the marks were likely only surface scuffs and that the pipe was safe to continue using. Their willingness to give an honest assessment instead of recommending an unnecessary replacement meant a great deal to us. Most recently, they helped at a Scottish Rite commercial building where more than sixteen feet of older cast-iron drainage piping had collapsed. The affected section included multiple connections serving different drains in one of our primary bathrooms. They replaced and rerouted the damaged piping, charged a very fair price, and once again delivered quality work. It is rare to find a plumbing company equally comfortable handling mobile-home gas leaks, a major residential overhaul, difficult drain problems, video inspections, and complex commercial cast-iron drainage repairs. Highsmith & Daughters has been responsive, honest, efficient, and reliable throughout every project. I would gladly call them again and strongly recommend them.

Every plumber I called insisted on coming out to look, before giving me a quote. I said I had perfect pictures and that it was a small job, but they all still insisted on coming over. My husband could do the job, but he's been sick, so we needed some outside help. This was the ONLY company who agreed to look at my pictures and give me a quote over the phone. Alicia in the office was so kind, understanding & accommodating. Highsmith & Daughters were $200.00 less than the other company who came out to look at the job. Highsmith & Daughters sent out a great plumber. He was on time, professional, thorough, neat & VERY helpful. He also gave us 2 new hoses & then helped to bring in our washing machine, which we had moved earlier so he would have easy access. I see why they have so many excellent reviews. We will definitely call them in the future for any of our plumbing needs.

After decades of recurring backyard floods in Newbury Park (Eastern Ventura County), a series of…read morerecent and unexpected downpours finally pushed us to find a permanent solution. With water pooling in the backyard and the drains refusing to clear, we found ourselves watching the rising water and wondering whether the next storm would send it straight into our house. After decades of this, we'd had enough. Based on strong Google and Yelp reviews, we called Conejo Bros Plumbing (aka Drain Kings). It was the right move. John Migliori of Drain Kings came out the next day, investigated the problem, and discovered extensive root intrusion throughout our 60-foot drainage line. It was clear that another patchwork repair wouldn't cut it. We needed a permanent solution. John thoroughly explained the issue, laid out a transparent quote, and said he would manage every detail. The very next day, his crew went to work. In just 10 hours, they trenched the entire run, installed new piping and a pump to discharge excess water to the street, and completed the major work with impressive efficiency and care. The project was professionally supervised from start to finish, followed by a dedicated cleanup and touch-up day. What really sets these guys apart is accountability. John listened to every concern, followed through on every detail, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. His crew was courteous, careful, and highly professional. That kind of responsiveness, workmanship, and personal attention is a refreshing change. We went into this project worried about another costly disappointment. Instead, we came away impressed by the expertise, the communication, and the genuine sense of responsibility John and his team demonstrated. I don't write reviews like this lightly, but when a company delivers this kind of experience, I believe people should know about it. Whether you need routine plumbing service or are facing a backyard flood of biblical proportions, Conejo Bros Plumbing has the resources to help you out. Put them on your short list.
