This place is the last place I would ever take my dog again! I asked the owner what the fee was to groom my Morkie And she said I will let you know when you pick him up and we only take cash, no credit card payments! I normally pay an average of $65-$75 for his grooming so Shandra's charged us $110.00. When I asked her why it was so high she replied My dog was difficult. Which I have always heard how good he is from previous groomers so she told me I charged you an up fee. No wonder she wouldn't say how much the fee was up front. His haircut wasn't even that good she used clippers exclusively instead of Scissor trimming etc. Warning: Be careful with this business. read more

Wow!!! I have tried different groomers but when max(American pitbull) comes home the good smell last 2 days usually. I give shandra's pet salon a try he smelled good for 3 weeks and did a great job clipping his nails as he doesn't like his paws touched. Definitely worth the drive and will be coming back here exclusively. read more

Worst Salon ever. Never heard of a long time business accepting only CASH!! IRS look into! Prices are outrageous. My dog is 5 pounds great shape short hair $125.00 she charged. While waiting; another customer with a large poodle paid $200.00. I asked up front for a ballpark price?? I now know why Shandra would not give a price up front I would have canceled. The cut was just okay nothing special. Very difficult parking and this tiny salon was a fire hazard small dark and cluttered. read more

I cannot stress enough how *terrible* the customer service was with all members of the team at Shandra's Pet Salon. They refused to groom my dog and were extremely rude about it! For background, I was recommended this salon for my puppy. I was so excited to take my puppy to her for a nicer, cleaner grooming experience and instead it was the exact opposite. I have a mini goldendoodle puppy who has been groomed before. I dropped her off at an 9 AM appointment. I was told it would be about ~3 hours until she was ready. At 2pm, I was called and told that they bathed her but would not groom her. Why did they keep her for 5 hours only to then call me and tell me that they would not groom her?! When I went to pick up my dog, both groomers proceeded to condescendingly tell me my dog was not well trained, that I was not doing enough to train her, and that she had a pee accident while she was there. She is a 6-month old puppy who is getting the best training, she is very mild mannered, and is good at following commands. I find it hard to believe that she was so "poorly trained" that they were unable to trim her (especially since she has been groomed before). Their attitude towards me was like my dog was dangerous to them (and she couldn't hurt a butterfly if she tried). In addition to their rudeness, they charged me $48 for bathing her and offered no discount for the unfortunate experience!! They also did not ask if I wanted her to be bathed despite not being able to groom her - I could have bathed her at home for free! **VERY IMPORTANT** Since coming home, my happy-go-lucky dog has been very dejected from their toxic environment. I seriously am questioning what they did to her and if they were yelling at her- she is now skittish around her family which has never happened before. In summary: the customer service is what made this experience truly disaster. Both the groomer and the front desk clerk were full of attitude, snarky remarks, and were very clear that since I questioned them I would not be welcome back. It was a miserable experience for both myself and my dog. _______________________________________________________________________________ My suggestions to them: 1.) If you are going to be elitist about the clients that you choose, please warn customers ahead of time. It takes 2-3 weeks to get a grooming appointment in Naples. My dog needs to be groomed 1x month because her fur grows so fast - so it is a problem when you last minute decide you can't groom dogs. Now, she can barely see around her eyes and I have to wait 2+ weeks before I can see a different groomer. 2.) If you are going to refuse to groom clients, then please be kinder in your bedside manner. This would have been a much different experience had you either offered to: - do the best you could - not groomed her today but offer some suggestions on how to better prepare a puppy for grooming with a discount for the following visit when she is ready - a discount on today's hassle 3.) We have been taking our dogs to Shandra for years. She and her staff are wonderful. They are very caring and always do a great job with our dog. Our current dog has had trauma with vets and Shandra makes sure that our Gentle Giant feels as comfortable as possible. She also offers a great treatment for his skin and fur. Beware! My dogs did not want to enter. I should have listened. They have been shaking and quivering for two days. One won't leave the house. His tummy and tail has razor burns, the other dog has no whisters or eye lashes left. Our prior experiences with the older male groomer were good but a young male butchered our dogs for $155. I complained, no return call. I even went back to the shop. Something awful happened in that salon! We will not be back. read more

Shandra's used to give beautiful cuts. That was in 2017 and 2018. Today my dog ( toy poodle) after being groomed makes me want to cry.

Let's just say I didn't even think it was my dog when they brought him out. We knew taking him in that his mats needed attention, but when I tell you they shaved my whole entire YORKIE'S body, INCLUDING HIS HEAD AND FACE.. that might even be an understatement. Also, not to mention dogs need their whiskers for a sense of peripheral vision and these were also shaved off completely. The mats weren't even on his head or face... We were specific about getting the mats out to their best ability, but a previous experience had led us to believe they wouldn't shave his face or head, as they hadn't ever done this before. We were horrified, and so was Louie.. our dog. When talking to Brandon at pick up, she wanted nothing to do with our complaints and led us to Shandra. Brandon also mentioned that, and I quote, "I look forward to you coming in person to complain" and never even considered giving us even some of our money back or even saying sorry!!! She never admitted who cut the hair and then later in the conversation took the blame, claiming the owner watched her. What would have been nice was a phone call about going to this extreme. Grooming is a luxury, and should be chosen to the standard of the paying customer. She called us inhuman for even letting our dogs mats get as bad as they were, but there were not any worse than any other typical time we would take him in. He's a puppy, he runs and plays with our other dogs, and NEVER once showed any signs of being uncomfortable at home. Needless to say, not only was our experience bad, but the customer service might have even been worse and we took a home a chihuahua looking yorkie. If you're contemplating taking your pets here, my family and I would advise you to highly reconsider. read more

Wow. That's all I can say, wow. We have a Havanese, only 1 year old and she has been to several different groomers in the past. She is such a bundle of energy that she will never sit still enough to get that superb cut. Somehow, Shandra and her team did it. Her hair looks like a stone sculpture it is so evenly cut. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Took my dog to be groomed here. Shandra came out and explained what they would do and the cost. So far so good. My dog is 9yrs old almost 10. He is groomed every 3 months. I told her that he didn't like people touching his legs. 2 1/2 hrs later they call and tell me I need to come get him that they will not groom him. He's swinging around every time they touch his legs. Like I said this dog is groomed every 3 months. This is the first time that someone has told me they will not groom him. So how can the other groomer I use manage to groom him but Shandra can not? To add insult to injury, she had the nerve to charge me $58 for a bath. Would not recommend taking your dog here. read more

I took my little Morkie there today for the first time. He was sedated due to anxiety over getting his nails trimmed. (He goes into beast mode with nail trims so the vet prescribed some medication.) Clay did a beautiful job grooming my little guy. His nails are finally trimmed and he looks great. I have already booked my next appointment at this salon. Don't let the location fool you. Shandra and Clay have cared for our dogs over for 15 years. We are on our third large dog with them. Even with weekly baths our dogs' coats have always been healthy and shiny. Rude owner!! I was 20 minutes late getting to an appointment so was told they could not groom my dog that day. I took responsibility and apologized for being late (I had called prior to getting there as it was unavoidable due to a work call) and I understood their position completely. I would gladly have made another appointment... That is if they had been nice about it. What I don't understand was the condescending attitude and very nasty comments made by the woman at the desk, who I assume was the owner. Another client walked in after me and heard her barking at me about being more than 10 minutes late and their policy. He said - well "I'm also late more than 10 minutes" and so she started in on him and also told him he would have to leave - again in a very rude manner. I wouldn't go back if they were the last shop in town! If this is how they treat people - I wonder how they treat the dogs?? read more

Since we adopted our senior golden retriever three years ago, Shandra and her staff have provided sensitive and thoughtful care during baths and grooming. Shandra listened to my concerns (arthritis, anxiety about separation from her new family, skin problems) and adapted her routines to avoid physical and emotional stress for an older dog. We believe she helped make our rescued dog healthier, and since our dog lately has developed kidney problems has taken even more pains to make her comfortable. Based on good reviews, I brought my two dogs here last week. Both dogs were a couple weeks past regular schedule as we just moved here from colder weather. I showed pictures of both our dogs that I had taken just after previous grooms to visually show what I expected. I picked up my dogs and was shocked especially with the larger dog. Had he been clipped and closer, he would have been skinned. His head looked like a choppy bowl cut. Terrible. The troubles started after I noticed him licking his private area and when I took a closer look, I saw his sternum area red and inflamed. Upon taking him to our Vet, the Vet said he should not have had his sternum shaved and the Veterinarian's don't even shave that area for neutering. $187.00 later the Vet suggested I call the groomer at Shandras and explain the problems that incurred at Shandra's Pet Salon. I will also add that both my dogs had to have anal glands expressed by the Vet as they weren't done during grooming (it was supposed to be and was included in the price). My dogs experience from this groomer was painful. We were sent home with steroids and medicated spray and a Vet bill of $187.00 and a grooming bill for $84.00 (ea dog). Shandra's Pet Salon response was that she was sorry and apologized that our dog was in pain and will talk to her groomer. But she also added to tell the next groomer what clipper to use (more than once). Really??? One dog is 5 yrs old and the other 7. Never had I ever needed to tell a groomer which # clipper to use. I'm not a groomer nor have I ever had an issue with my poor dog being shaved so tight and painful. Disgraced, disappointed and disgusted that my dog had to endure this. Not coming back and have learned a lesson to tell groomers what NOT to do! read more

Shandra is ALWAYS on site and welcomes each pet with the same love and care that you would your own dog.
