Trust the reviews. They are low for a reason. They will never get another dime out of me. Shamrock did my new construction development. More than one home is having issues with CFM's. Long story short you have to have air getting sucked out as you blow it in. We have too much air getting blown in and not enough getting sucked out. So we don't have enough returns and home isn't heated or cooled properly. Shamrock knew this because CFM's are a simple math problem. They cut corners so badly and tried to do it all cheap as possible. They came back SO many times to "balance" the system. When all the while they knew it wasn't going to work. We could've balanced it 1 million times and it still would not have worked. Because the math was off. BUYER BEWARE! And yes there are a couple good reviews. But do you want to take that risk on your home? I wouldn't. Not on Shamrock. Never again, read more

I cannot tell you how pleased we have been with Shamrock for years - our HVAC is under maint with them, even though it is 20+ years old. the issues we have had with failing parts have always been addressed quickly and expertly by their technicians immediately. recently we had an issue with our water heater which they came out and helped us get it back online. they did not try to sell us a new water heater; instead they resolved the issue at a great and reasonable cost - the quote they gave us worst case scenario for a replacement was an excellent price. I highly recommend them read more

This company had given me a quote years ago but I couldn't afford it then. When my AC unit died Friday,I had to get a technician out; wasn't them.advised the condenser -unit outside died. I did potential get 3 quotes. Then remembered used Shamrock .so I called. they ended up sending same sales rep that quoted me before.it was nice to see him. I did get 2 more quotes from other companies but went with them.the ac unit done but realized the ancient inside coil was clogged so old wasn't getting air flow to outside unit, now the whole thing needed replacing.fast forward yes it was done. Shamrock - Had to get new coil/furnace replaced - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Southampton Township, New Jersey

Best H&V company in the area!Used them for many years! Always on time and honest ! Highly recommend them! read more

Had Shamrock Heating and Cooling Inc install a furnace at a rental property of mine. The install did not go very well. Also took a long time to schedule the inspection of the unit. When the inspectors were finally scheduled the unit failed. The company has since ignored my requests to fix the install. You are better off spending a little more money and going with a company with a better reputation and a longer warranty for the equipment and labor. Now I have to waste time taking the owner to small claims court. read more

New AC/Heating Lennox system did not work well from day #1. Shamrock will rip you off even under warranty from the manufacturer. There is no reason to ever call these guys. Take this review as a grain of salt. We rejected 25 years of different estimates from them, then when we finally did use them for the AC/Heating Lennox system we regretted our choice. Also Lennox is garbage. I admit it was a mistake to make Lennox our 2nd system we owned (never again!). read more

Shamrock installed our 2 heating zones on our house 3 years. I came home from a trip and found the 1 unit not running. Called Shamrock, they came and charged me $250 to tell me I needed a Pressure Switch and that I wouldn't be able to get it for approx 1 week and that I would receive the contract via email which I would need to accept before they ordered the Pressure Switch. I received the contract quickly for an additional $350. I called Shamrock to tell them my system was still under the 5 year warranty. They said the price was still the same because it would take the technician up to 2 hours to install it. I found another Pressure switch thru the website REPAIR CLINIC for $40, it was delivered the next day and was installed by a friend. Installation literally took 2 minutes. Do your self a favor, NEVER use this company!! read more

Updating these guys to 5 stars cause they deserve it. Had a slightly problem with our HVAC this week that prevented it from not working at all. I thought for sure the system was going to be declared dead given its 12+ years old now or at least require some expensive parts and labor. The problem was a simple little fix and just a service calls fee later they were out the door and things were good as before. Top notch service, reliability and honesty. I am a customer for life. Thanks Shamrock. read more

Have used Shamrock three times for various issues. Each time I have been very impressed with the technicians from this company, the quality of their service and the courteous communications. I've just scheduled another visit for winter furnace servicing and to have my system looked over in order to get a service contract proposal from them. Do yourself a favor and call them if you have HVAC issues. read more

I called this company and asked for them to perform preventative maintenance on my gas fireplace, as I recently moved into a new home and I am not very familiar with how such fireplaces work. I couldn't be present at the time of the appointment; however, when they showed up they performed maintenance on my FURNACE and not my FIREPLACE. When I called they said that they do not work on fireplaces. This seems like something the lady scheduling appointments should know! I spoke with a manager and I am still waiting to hear back if they will make amends. I should have trusted the Yelp reviews - don't make the same mistake I did. read more

Back in October 2018, Shamrock designed an installed a mini-split system (heating and cooling) in our house (the house was built in 1900, so no room for duct work, but we have solar panels and wanted to upgrade to an electric system). The entire system cost roughly $15,000 which is in range for what we installed. The system is now just about a year and half old and has already needed three major repairs. During the system's first winter, we had a power outage, which ended up frying the entire system. Turns out, surge protectors were never installed on the outdoor units, which apparently, should have been standard practice. We were out of heat for a few days while Shamrock had to come out and rebuild the electrical system and install surge protectors. The following winter, two indoor units stopped working, and began flashing an error code. We looked up the error code, and determined that it was the fan motor. Despite telling Shamrock what the error message had said, they still sent a technician out to diagnose the problem. The technician sat on hold with the manufacturer for upwards of an hour only to determine that it was indeed the fan motor and that he needed to come back out to fix the problem. A week later (still with no heat), a technician finally came back out, and Shamrock hit us with a bill of close to $1,000 (even with the warranty), which included the technician sitting on hold. Apparently, broken fan motors are incredibly rare, so how on earth did a system that was less than two years old end up with broken fan motors? No one could tell me, but I suspect it is related to the system failure during the power outage (which, remember, was negligence on their part) Flash forward to this spring (the entire system is still less than two years old), we had the units set to cool during a few 85 degree days, but noticed that the upstairs was not cooling properly. We ended up calling a different HVAC company to check it out, and they determined that the flare inside the unit was not fitted properly and had cracked, so it was leaking refrigerant for some time. Shamrock does not stand by their products or services. They were incredibly rude and didn't seem to care that our system continued to have issues, potentially issued they caused due to poor installation. A system that is brand new and cost $15,000 should not need 3 repairs over the course of 18 months. If you want quality service at a reasonable price, do not use Shamrock. read more

Got a quote and signed a contract to replace the air conditioner, coil and furnace ($8,800). The contract specifically stated to replace the line set which carries the puron from the condenser to the coil. Most HVAC experts recommend this when switching from a freon system to a puron system due to possible impurities (Google it). Plus since I was going from a 4 ton to a 5 ton unit the line set needed to be bigger. Ken, the lead installer wrote up instructions for his installers and #2 on the list was "new L/set". When the installers arrived, I moved some of the drop ceiling tiles in the basement to give them access to run the new line set. They said they didn't need to do that because the were going to purge the existing lines and reuse them. I said no way, I wanted new line set as written up in the contract. They called Bill the salesman, who then called me. I told him we agreed to a new line set and if they did not want to install it, they could return the deposit and I would go with someone else. He assured me they would install the new line set and agreed that it needed to be done with the 5 ton unit. He called me back a few minutes later and said the installers left. Owner Raymond Miller wouldn't take my call. At best Shamrock is unprofessional and cannot be trusted, at worst they never intended to replace the line set (I was warned about Shamrock by other HVAC companies that they do this all the time) saving them time and money. How many customers even know to ask? I recommend you stay away from Shamrock. I did promptly get my deposit back and I'm now searching for new quotes. I wasted about 4 weeks with Shamrock or is it Sham-rock? read more

This is the 2nd time I've needed Shamrock, the first time was a few years ago when they fixed my AC system at a fraction of the cost a competitor was offering. This time it was my heating system. The HVAC tech was friendly, knowledgeable and provided a very good quote. The price charged for the diagnosis was fair as was the quoted price for the repair. I'm handy so I was able to make the repair myself and their diagnosis was spot on. If you want the job done right at a fair price, this is the company to use, I've got 2 data points that indicate Shamrock Heating and Cooling is excellent! read more

Rude and incompetent. Our A/C broke. While our service person was very kind, our AC was still broken when he left. Called again to request that they come back - 2 weeks was the earliest appointment, and the scheduler was miserable and rude. I called the day of the second appt. and was advised that the service man would arrive around 10:30. I called again at 11:30 to ask for a revised estimate, and was hung up on mid-sentence! I called back and was transferred to "Gary" who was equally rude. Terrible customer service by office staff. Will never use this company again. read more

We had a NEW HVAC system installed by Shamrock and in less than two years our system was leaking Freon. (An HVAC system is a closed system that should not leak Freon.) Our system was no longer cooling so we had to reach out to their afterhours team. We had terrible after-hours customer service with a tech who did not know what the problem was, made some crazy statement that these systems leak sometimes. They missed a couple of scheduled appointments to look at the system after the afterhours tech came out. We later found out that we had a defective evaporator coil. Even though it less than 2 years after it was installed, Shamrock proceeded to charge us over $800 in labor fees to install the new coil. They took no responsibility for installing an obvious defective part in a brand-new system. They are a company that DOES NOT stand behind their work. I spent months trying to get them to reconsider the billing costs. Even the owner denied us any recourse. I could rant about the time I wasted trying to get someone to even meet us half way, or their lack of professionalism, but the bottom line is to stay away from this company. I should have researched their reviews. Shame on me. read more

I called 2 days ago about a heater that is only 3 years old and not working to schedule and appoint since they did the install on it. I was told someone could come out on Today(Friday Oct 2) between 1 and 5 pm. Not only did no one show but I never even received a call to let me know no one was coming. My wife had rearranged her schedule to be here for the appointment and with no one showing up I called. The women was not only rude but told me they guys cant work on my AC in the rain! I called about my heating unit! The women informed me that they could do nothing until Monday. It's great that a company has the courtesy to call or, you know, get the information right in the first place. My pregnant wife and I are looking forward to being cold all weekend. Thanks Shamrock! read more

I have a maintenance contract with Shamrock for the past few years and have called them out a few times for maintenance on my AC Unit. They've always done a good job and fixed the issue in a timely matter. Last week I called them because I came home late one night in the middle of a heat wave and found my AC was not working. The inside unit was working but the outside compressor was not turning on. I called them and Technician Kevin R. called me the next morning to tell me he was going to be on his way to check out the unit. When I told him I was at work and wouldn't be home until much later that night he said he would go there anyway and check the outside compressor. Within a couple of hours Kevin called me back and said he had changed a few parts in the compressor and he was confident the AC should be working when I get home and turn it on. Sure enough, I got home, turned the unit on and had cool air again. Kudos to Kevin for an excellent customer service experience!!! I'd recommend Shamrock for all your HVAC issues. read more

Do not trust these guys to fix anything! They are incompetent. I needed a whole new air conditioning system. It took them 3 days to do what should have been a one day job. I decided to go out of town while they replaced it since it was supposed to be 90 degree and I am disabled and have two dogs. The maintenance man could give them access to my apartment. I spoke my apartment's manager and he promised that the job would be done by Friday end of business. I returned home around 10 pm on Friday night. I go into my apartment and it's hot so I go check the thermostat and it's set and 74 and is on cool and auto but it's 86 degrees inside and 88 degrees outside. I called maintenance who called shamrock and told them they had to come out tonight. He got here around midnight which was fine but then he wanted to cross wires to make it work which I didn't feel was safe and he gave us a bogus reason for it not working. Then told us he couldn't fix it until Monday. So now a 1 day job is going to take 6 days. Please do not hire these guys. You will be sorry if you do! read more

I made an appointment with Phil a month ago for an annual maintenance visit. He told me it was no problem, they would be there at 8:00am on 12/21/16 so I took a day off work to get it done. Now it's 10:45am and no one has shown up so I call the office and asked for Phil. A woman puts me on hold then gets back on the phone and tells me he's in a meeting and she'll give him the message. I waited another 3 hrs, called back, same woman tells me everyone is out of the office, she'll give him the message. No one showed up and I have yet to receive a call back from anyone explaining anything. I wouldn't use or recommend this company to anyone. If they have so little regard for customers that they can't even call and explain why they couldn't show up then this is not a company you would want to install or maintain a major investment like a standby generator. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE!! Have been a loyal customer for about 4 years. Had Shamrock install a heat pump at the recommendation of a friend and later subscribed to their maintenance plan for $234 / annually. Called for winter preventative maintenance inspection and was told that it would be over a month. When asked why I wouldn't get priority as a maintenance plan customer the female scheduler snapped and said other customers called before I did. When I said that I probably should take my business elsewhere she said go ahead. Pathetic. read more
