When I made my decision to groom my dog here I was trusting the good reviews. She is very rude not only to people but to the dogs. She was bothered by my dog because he was scared. He was never aggressive towards her. I felt bad for leaving my dog at a place where he was not liked. I'll need your help to hold your dog down." Err.....? We should have left right then, but I stayed and helped while my poor puppy yelped and squirmed as the female groomer yelled and scolded at her. After she battled with my puppy and traumatized me to have me assist torturing my dog, she declared, "Your dog has an issue!". She then whips out this business card of some dog trainer to hands it to me. The groomer told us to pay before the service was completed. When I asked her if she was going to file my dogs nails she snapped at me saying, "Would your dog let me?!" At this point I was appalled and said "You would charge that amount for this service?" My snappy comment prompted her to reduce the fee to ZERO, however, I would not go back there ever again even if we get paid to do so. Mimi might be the best poodle groomer in town, but based on my conversation with her. I would never in million years leave my poodles with her. She came highly recommended by a friend and fellow groomer, who apparently gave me Mimi's personal phone number by mistake. Weirdest, rudest conversation I have had in along time. Mimi was outraged that I called her personal number and that I couldn't tell her the name of her friend and said she wasn't taking on new clients. She is gentle and caring and provides a safe and clean environment while the kids are waiting their turn to get clean. Masses of fur and gets VERY dirty - oh, and she hates people and other dogs. Mimi has been grooming her for several years and she wouldn't dream of misbehaving with her. In fact she loves to be groomed. Mimi is extremely reliable, always returns calls in good time, gets the dogs groomed in good time. We were eating across the street and saw a cute poodle leave from this place and we have our poodle with us and thought, let's get her groomed while we eat. I ask the lady if the poodle was just groomed there because it looks great and she responded with "It's my poodle." Ok. So I asked again. Same response. Then she adds "I'm the Breeder." Again, no answer to my question. I go inside pick up a card and she says "how old is she she needs grooming badly." I say "5 months and yes we've just been letting her hair grow." Tried bringing in my dogs today and the lady at tree front desk was extremely rude. I had heard good things about this place about how friendly they are with dogs but she manhandled my dog right in front of me and even yelled at her. She also yelled at another dog she had being groomed. We took our poodle to Shampoodle a few times. The groomer there, Mimi was fine at first and did a good job, but she has never been very personable. The last time we took our dog to her 3 weeks ago, she sounded very busy and hassled and asked us to bring him in early on a Saturday. We were then asked to come back 4 hours later. When our dog got home, he started licking himself furiously - on further inspection, we saw that she had nicked him quite badly in his groin area. There was a big sore. He couldn't sit, was in a lot of pain so we took him to the emergency vet. They shot him with steroids and gave us pain killers. It took days for the wound to heal. Nicks happen, but I think she should have mentioned something to us. If she was too busy to take us, then she should have just said she was booked. I feel she was rushed and did a bad job. This is one groomer we plan on never going to again. read more

I took my dogs to Petco for years and the prices kept going up while quality went down, so I searched and found Shampoodle. On the first visit, I knew the service was far better right off- better, cheaper and faster- which means less cage time also. She grooms my two dogs in less than half the time and they come out looking like show dogs. It seems to be a more personal service, old- School type of business you get in smaller towns. Surprised. Im reading all the reviews before me and it left me confused. Took my poodle mix here when she really needed a bath and her nails cut. Didn't take too long, about an hour and a half.. problem is when i came to get my pup, i noticed a lot... she had a pretty big cut on her neck and one of her nipples was completely cut off... not to mention her hair wasnt even everywhere... it was weird because the store itself had a lot of rewards n trophies making me believe my pup was in good hands. ALSO, they seem to have their own poodles even some that compete in dog shows giving me even more trust in them since they were comfortable with poodles. I have taken my pup to other areas that had worse reviews and comments compared to this groomer, and have never had this happen. Sorry, but wont be taking my dog back here. I suggest people to look over their dog after because the asian lady there (one who groomed my pup) did not mention any harm being done to my dog which made me distrust this place. Let me start by saying I do not even want to give this establishment one star, but that is the lowest possible rating. This place is absolutely horrible and I do not know how they are still in business. Their customer service is a complete disaster, and if you go here you will regret it. I took my dog into this place, and when I picked him up I felt as if he was very upset. I do not know what they did, but my dog was not his normal happy self. When I asked about it, they simply said that "he was not easy to work with". What does that even mean, is any dog going to do exactly as you tell him to do, especially when he does not even know you. I hope that I can help people to never make the same mistake I did, and never take there dog here. If you do decide to take your dog here, I would stay with my dog to make sure nothing happens to him/her. I would NEVER recommend this horrid place to anybody. read more

I've been taking my Pomeranian to be groomed by Mimi at Shampoodle for at least 7 or 8 years. That's despite the fact that it's a 30-minute drive from my house. She's just worth it. She does a great job, charges a quite fair price and is very knowledgeable and professional. She's always friendly to me and my dog loves going there.
