We had the most amazing experience at Whiskers! Cindy was so incredibly sweet, friendly, and super gentle with my dog, who's a really anxious little guy. She really took the time to take care of him and then afterwards explained how everything went. She even gave me a toothbrush to take home and pointed out where he has build up on his teeth (which is actually exactly what our vet had told us just a few weeks ago) so I know she really paid attention to him and knows what she's doing. Unlike other groomers that I have gone to, my dogs eagerly go in and seem to enjoy their time there. I was able to be with her, masked, so she could get bathed and cut. Easy to find, reasonable prices, lots of parking. When I was there I noticed many return customers. I am pretty nervous with my dads little dog, she is very squirmy and very scared with new experiences. I read a lot of reviews for this place of other scared dogs doing well here so I thought I'd try it out. They did an absolutely great job and only had her 2 hours the first time I brought her here even added a festive bandana. The second time they squeezed us in and I know they were short handed so she was there a lot longer but it was fine for them being able to take her last minute. I work nearby and was off work waiting in the lot. Not wanting her to see me and get riled up. I saw her calming sitting and staring at the workers in her crate. So I was relieved to know she wasn't stressed. I went to in to grab her and they mentioned how much they love her and how easy and sweet she is. They even made a special collar bow for her when I told them the grooming was for my dads birthday. I'm sold. I have no doubts about this place. It's cash only so I make to hit the atm before picking them up. I loved that they have everything visible from the front and that the lady who works there brings her own dogs to hang out in the pen setup in the center of the room. I cannot stress enough how important it is for people to not take their dogs there. I'm shocked by their reviews and I'm almost convinced they're paying to have their bad reviews removed because they are awful here! Let me tell you our experience... I called and asked if I can bring my dog in. Whoever answered told me they're very busy and scheduled my dog for an appointment the next day at 2 pm. I'm thinking like "wow! Appointments! I love that." So we take our 10 lb dog the next day at 1:30 pm. I had somewhere I needed to be so I figured he can wait in the crate for 30 minutes until they start on him. That day we had an event to attend at night time so we needed to be out of the house by 6:30. An appointment at 2 means we would have plenty of time. 5:30 comes around and still no call. So I call them and ask what's the status on our dog. She tells me they haven't even started! They had a senior dog come in and had to work on him. So the senior dog took you 4 hours?! I told them don't start, we're coming to pick him up! She wasn't remorseful or sorry in the slightest. She did not offer me a single apology. This is where it gets good. My husband picked him up 10 minutes after I got off the phone with the lady. In the 10 minutes since we had hung up the phone, they decided to shave his body only. Not his face, legs, or anything else. Just his body. My husband asks for Oscar, and they tell him it's $38. So In the 10 minutes since we hung up, they got him out of his crate and started shaving his body only so that they can charge us full price. It's unethical! My husband paid it and left and we haven't been back since. Absolutely horrible people! They are running a complete scam. I've never had dealings with such a horrible private business and I warn everyone to please stay away. There are so many wonderful, honest, hard working groomers that won't treat animals and people this way. Also, I saw somewhere in another comment that they take dogs out to pee and give them water. Not true. My dog was parched when we got home and had to go outside to do his business. read more

I bring my cocker spaniel here every couple months and she always comes home looking cute as ever, smelling good, and her cut lasts a long time compared to other groomers we've taken her to. She always came home from other groomers very nervous and exhausted, but I can tell the ladies at whiskers treat her with lots of love and consideration. Every time I pick her up they rave about how sweet she is and her friendliness to the other dogs. She even puts my dog with her own cocker spaniels she has in store which allows my dog to relax and socialize, which I greatly appreciate because it directly shows her thoughtfulness when it comes to the dogs. read more

Let me preface this review by stating that I am not a weenie. Not unless it comes to my dog. Dropping her off, was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I equate it with having to say goodbye to your child the first time they leave for sleep away camp. Except I don't have kids, and I picked her up two hours later. The ladies at whiskers are all very kind and are excellent at what they do. My pup comes home smelling great and looking pretty with a nice new haircut, not to mention the adorable bow they put on her collar. For $34 and a convenient location, this place has got it. The extreme amount of joy I experienced picking up my little one after her grooming session was slightly negated by the other jealous hounds who were literally mad dogging me while I walked out the door with my best friend. The only thing that I would have changed was the fast that I dropped Emma off 3 hours before she was actually worked on. Never had a bad groom and they've never given my dog a razor burn or cut his skin as it's happened at other places. I was looking for someone to cut my lil doggies nails. He absolutely will not let me do it! I called Petco and they wanted $10.00! I called here and they quoted me $5.00. Now thats what I'm talkin about! The woman I spoke with, (think her name was Cindy or Debbie) told me to bring my lil guy anytime after 6PM. We've only ever come here to get my dog's nails trimmed. We always come without an appointment, but despite a few nasty looks from the owner, someone is always able to make time to trim my dog's nails for $5. One of the reasons I took a star away was because of how bad it smells inside and how cluttered and dirty it seems. I haven't been to other grooming places so I don't know if they're the same way, but it kind of grosses me out. Overall, I will keep coming back to get my dogs nails trimmed since they are very accommodating for that, but not for grooming services. A-OK! read more
