I've brought my dog here twice now and both times she's come back looking and smelling so clean! The staff does a great job, and the owner is super nice and welcoming. I also love that when I'm there, I see other happy dogs--no barking, no signs of distress, just a calm and friendly environment. And the best part? They always add a cute little bandana at the end. Such a sweet touch! Definitely my go-to grooming spot now read more

These people are great, fantastic with our dogs and pricing is very fair. We trust our dauchands with these pet friendly people.

Ive been coming here since I moved to Northridge 2 years ago. I'm SUPER PICKY on how my baby is groomed so that should say something. They are always so quick so I never have to worry about Simba being in the kennel long at all! I avoid places that keep dogs in kennels for longer than they should be. They never gripe when I remind them every time I bring him in how I want his hair cut even though they've been doing it for so long. (It's my anxiety from past groomers in the course of 8/9 years prior) Sam does simbas cuts and I get so many compliments. Honestly he comes out looking like a model! 10/10 recommend!!! read more

Tucked away at the top of a cul de sac, Top Dog Grooming is a really terrific place. Caring & communicative groomers, a nice waiting area separate from the grooming space, easy to make an appointment. The whole vibe feels like taking your dog to someone's home, and my German Shepherd was super mellow the whole time, no anxiety. Thank you to Ashleigh! Highly recommend! read more

I've been bringing my chihuahua mix here to get her nails trimmed for over a year now and thought it might be time to get her groomed. Wendy did a great job and super reasonable. I usually wash the dog myself but from now on when she needs a good scrub I'm bringing her back here. read more

The owner was so friendly & honest lol. I loved that about her. She asked me what my dog doesn't like I told her the blow dryer lol. They took great care of my doggie daughter. I loved her cut & she smelled amazing for over 2 weeks. She was so soft & happy when I arrived. I can tell they loved on her during her visit. I would definitely bring her back when in the areas again. read more

This is the response to your email ( Top Dog Grooming ) The name as Dastjerdi. I saw another review from someone else regarding the owner smoking heavily and I'm sure perhaps when no one is around,, she smoke inside shop as well. My puppy was there late April or early May. I called the owner immediately and she said ah no problem just put some cortisone Cream on your puppy's knee. Can you believe this ??? I took her to her doctor and paid over $1100 for the visit and the X-Ray. I don't need your money but all I want for your customers know that you guys are not looking our pets as our kids and looks like that they're just dog. My Luna is my life , if you guys don't understand that then it shows you guys don't care. I'm so upset about what you guys done. I am seeing lots of good reviews and I'm not saying that you guys doing to every pet and I'm sure that you're saying accidents happens sometimes but it should never ever happen. Your groomer are working as a job not as thinking as a matter of life and death for our love ones. I'm 100% sure that this injury happened when she was there and you guys ( All of you ) that were working there on that day saw my baby was crying loud and hard and so no one can say that they didn't hear it. Please DO NOT take your lovely pet to this place. You will be sorry when an accident happens to your pet. And then you regret specially after knowing what happened to my puppy !!! read more

This is my go-to ever since I moved to the Valley. I always ask for the puppy cut and they do an amazing job. The first time they forgot to trim/cut my dog's dewclaw, aka the dog's thumb, and Wendy denied it which was frustrating because I've only gone here for grooming so I would know.. The rule of "thumb" is the customers are always right! :) read more

Always a good job! I appreciate how professional they are. Friendly and affordable. Wendy is always able to fit us in

Great folks reasonable prices and service was great! Will definitely be back to bring my other dog as well.

Our boys have always been taken care of by Wendy and her staff. She's been grooming our guys for several years now. Always accommodating on appointments and for a quick nail trim for a little bossy chihuahua. They come home feeling silky and smelling nice. read more

Took my dogs here 3 times and unfortunately for them, each time was worse than the one before. Our first experience wasn't bad. We brought our dogs based on a recommendation from a friend. We appreciated how quickly they got back to us regarding scheduling. Both of my dogs had nail trims, and one of them had a bath and haircut. Both dogs nails were done well, without cutting the quick of the nail. The haircut wasn't the best, and it didn't smell like she had a bath, but we didn't complain due to how inexpensive it was. The second visit was when the problems began. It seemed that they took extra care when we were new customers, but on our first return visit they were much less friendly and although they kept my dog longer, it seemed like they rushed when bathing her and cutting her hair. She came home with some fleas, a few bloody nails, dirty ears, and an infected private area. We made as many excuses for them as we logically could, but this was definitely the first series of red flags. Our third and final visit was the worst. We brought her in for another haircut and nail trim. They called me to tell me it was time to pick her up and mentioned that "she was difficult and they MAY have clipped one or two of her nails a little short". They did such a bad job on her nails that at least 2 or 3 were bleeding and covered with quik-stop powder ON EACH PAW. How can you possibly be that bad?!?! More of her nails were bleeding than not. If that wasn't bad enough, they didn't even attempt a haircut, they just bathed her and destroyed her nails. My poor dog couldn't wait to run out of there. Not to mention that her ears were still just as dirty as they were when I brought her in. We won't be coming back and I would advise that you avoid this place for the safety of your pets. read more

Took my baby Milo in for a grooming, unfortunately we waited too long this time and had knots, Wendy was very professional and explained to us that she would have to basically shave him, we were saddened to hear this! However we understood, we proceeded with the appt. At pick up time I was really mentally prepared to see a red rat looking puppy! Lol but it wasn't as bad as we thought! Only thing that was negative about this appt was that his little ears had cuts, not sure from the machine or scissors. Made me a little sad. Other than that, everything was great. read more

I love this place. I have brought my shih tzus here twice! This second time they really needed some love with their haircuts. I grew their hair out for the winter and they were honestly two balls of fur. I asked for them to look like bobble heads, big heads and really short body cuts. The outcome was awesome. The service was great too! The doggy stylist in there are happy and are having fun while doing their work. Which! Is really nice to see as well. We will be back soon! Bella and Ommo say thank you as well. Remember CASH ONLY TIP your stylist, I know some of your dogs out there are crazy because mine are; not an easy task! I would know I've tried cutting their hair. read more

Extremely unsatisfied with the customer service that came along after a complaint about my dogs grooming services. After reading the previous review and response back completely backs up as to why I also would never return. This was my 1st time there and my last. Maybe if the people working at this location would focus more on taking these complaints as constructive criticisms and improve where they lack you would have more returning customers. I dont expect a response back to my comment nor do I care to hear one. If you are unhappy with any dog services from this location dont expect to have anyone hear you out or find a happy medium. They would rather fight you and tell you that your wrong as a paying customer when your dog comes back botched. STAY AWAY.... Update: And there you have your proof people. Just read the response from below just because I mentioned the previous review‍. I'm so done read more

This is the absolute WORST dog grooming establishment. The owner is EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional, stubborn, and prideful. I took my dog to this groomer twice. The first time I went my dog got a nasty ear infection and when I shared the information with the owner she said it wasn't their fault. I gave them a second chance and I completely regret it. They nicked his side and there is a permanent scar and they nicked his nail from the base and cracked the nail. This caused his paw to get incredibly infected and when I took him to the vet he was put on medication and had a cast. And again when I tried to speak to the owner she declined that they had done that and refused to take ownership. And I get it, maybe my dog moves around, but it is my right to know if something happened during his appointment rather than finding out after I've left. If you love your dog just as much as I do. Do NOT trust this groomer. Quite frankly I wonder how my dog was treated when I wasn't there and while he was getting groomed. It's absolutely sickening and I'm shocked this women is still in business. read more

WE LOVE WENDY AND EVERYONE AT TOP DOG Ive been bringing my fur baby here since he was a 3 month old puppy Wendy gave my baby his first haircut and we've been coming here ever since Everyone is really good and knowledgeable , they take their time, make sure to pause and give ur dog a break in between grooming and oh the price is also very reasonable you and your pet walk out feeling great and like a million dollar lol Unfortunately last time due to my own fault i called last minute and Wendy didn't have an appointment available, since it was my puppy's birthday that weekend I really needed him to get a haircut and i made a mistake of taking him elsewhere My poor baby got razor burns on all 4 paws and had to be on a cone for a week and no walks before it could heal I learned my lesson, from now on i wont take my dog anywhere else BUT to WENDY's , SHES THE BEST read more

Best dog grooming place ever . Been bring my dog coco since she was a puppy . The groomers are so lovely and very kind . They do a wonderful job ! read more

Top Dog is top notch! Making my dog look like a million bucks. She is a furry double coat, so her hair gets into knots and attracts a lot of dirt and bugs. But I love to keep her hair long and fluffy. Wendy and her team works with me and does their best to save my dog's hair. I've been to other groomers around the valley. They cut it uneven, or completely shave my girl down because they don't want to deal with the knots. For a few bucks more, top dog is our choice. Pros: Fast turn around time Great work Consistent results Cons: Appointment in advance- they're so busy Cash only- no cards accepted :( read more

This place is great! I used to take my big dogs to Petco, but they were getting so expensive and telling me they could no longer do one of my dogs' nails bc he was "too stressed" even though they've been doing his nails for 2 years and never had a problem before. I took my pups to Wendy, and not only did she have a better price for both, she got them so clean that they didn't shed for a week!! They also don't have the chemical smell like they did at petco, they actually smell and feel super clean. I'll never take my dogs anywhere else! read more

This review is specifically for Lacey; she did a spectacular job on my yorkie-poo mix! I called them first thing in the morning, and they were able to squeeze me in, which is a huge plus for a busy college student. I think that the price is more than fair for the excellence in service they provide. I have had such bad experiences with a mediocre haircuts, and I even had one groomer give my dog a sleeping pill. Needless to say, I think I found my forever groomer home! I am a promoter for Top Dog grooming, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality grooming service! Don't forget to ask for Lacey you won't regret it! Thank you guys for the fantastic customer service! *note they only take cash. read more

2 times now back to back we've made appointments to bring our dogs in and they forgot our appointments and made another appointment on top of ours. The first time the front desk lady actually yelled at us and the groomer said we never did make an appointment until we showed them the messages we had with them. Even after showing them proof they were 100% wrong they tried to help the other person they made an appointment for before us even tho we made an appointment weeks is advance. The second time they told us right before coming in that they had to be somewhere and they would try to squeeze us in before going wherever it is they had to go. They did try to book us for the next day but we are busy and only had time today. How are you going to tell your client an hour before they come in that your busy and might be able to do your appointment? We make appointments because we're available at that time on that day. The level of disregard and professionalism is ridiculous. read more
